Five Stars Could not get any better

the spa experience was excellent. the staff was helpful. they provided the opportunity to upgrade, which we jumped on. no regrets, beautiful view.

the food was good, but not spectacular.

Friendly, clean, by water, great spa, good soup and shrimp cocktail, great size room and sitting area. Great bed, great sized bathroom.

The service from the front desk, to the car valet, to the room cleaning and the restaurant was absolutely first class. I have stayed in a lot of great hotels in Europe, Africa and America and South America over the past 30 years but this has to go down as my number one. I will definitely be going back there.

Cannot fault it in any way apart from the fact it is over 5000 miles away !!!

Calm and magnificent views of the ocean

Ice machines easy to locate. Large balconies, whole hotel impeccably clean and elegant.

Limited hours for use of jacuzzi and coffee shop. Not having a refrigerator.

Everyone of the staff members were so friendly, always greeted you with a smile. rooms were super clean and comfortable. Restaurant and Bar was very good never had a long wait for anything, food and service top notch. House keeping does a great job on the rooms, seems they take alot of pride in their jobs. Front desk very well organized and friendly. Bellhops and valet fast and efficient. First time stay, and already planning on another stay in the near future.I will surely pass the word about what a great place to stay. THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF FOR MAKING OUR VISIT SUCH A RELAXING STAY. We will be back

there is nothing that we disliked

The staff were very friendly and attentive, the lobby area was very impressive. Great view of the seals playing in the ocean from your bedroom window or off the terrace.

We were expecting a classy yet relaxed "board-walk" style hotel, yet this was a very busy business and conference style hotel, with lots of weddings taking place, at least when we were there in early August. The rooms were clean and tidy, yet lacked the flare and imagination we were expecting from such a quality hotel. Although the bar and restaurant were attractive and the staff were attentive, they were a real disappointment. How a hotel of this size can only have one small bar is beyond me. But probably the most disappointing thing about the hotel (for us) was its location to local facilities. It is near the Cannery, which is looking very tired - better to be in town near Fisherman's Wharf

Good facilities, decent location (although there's not a lot to do in Monterey!)

Staff were not friendly at all. Staying in a part of the hotel across the road which meant getting two different lifts - became quite annoying after a while.

This is the only hotel that I have stayed at in Monterey. The hotel just makes you feel special and to me that is worth it. I was there in June and knew I would be returning in July. I asked if I could have the same room when I return in July and without checking first they had reserved that room for me.

That from when you drive up to when you leave the staff makes you feel welcome. And is interested in why we are in the city and thankful for you chosing their hotel

Hotel excepcional, realmente de ótimo nível. Localização excelente, a uma curta caminhada do aquario (principal atração local) e muito perto do comércio. Tudo foi muito bom, inclusive o quarto com varanda sobre o mar. Staff cordial e bem treinado.

Ubicación es muy buena.

Que no tenga desayuno incluído y que te cobren como add el uso de la internet, valet parking, etc. El valet parking podría ser, pero hacen como un item de consumo que incluye todo eso y que se adiciona al precio de la habitación.

Top Lage direkt am Meer mit Ausblick auf die Bucht. Gut organisiertes Valet parking. Kostenfreies WLAN.

Echt een geweldig hotel. vriendelijk personeel, geweldige ligging, mooie kamers, top- restaurant en onze favoriet, ontbijt in de Schoondr. uitzicht over een schitterende baai met aalscholvers en zee-otters; droomontbijt!

Friendly, excellent staff willing to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable.

Great location and views!

Not worth the money. Room was too small. Decor was a little outdated. Valet was annoying to deal with. Too many hidden and expensive resort fees that cover an old looking spa on the roof top. Overall, it was a let down.
