right by a railstation, but its not that big of a deal unless you're sensitive as a baby
CLEAN, AWESOME OWNERS, AWESOME LOCATION
The only downside was the noise from the street, but the pros outweighed this one con. For light sleepers, I would recommend bringing ear plugs and enjoying your stay!
The room was large, very clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and attentive, and available for any questions we had. Can't beat the location, close to light rail, quick fifteen minute ride to city center. Great value!
Nothing. Don't have a bad word to say
Free wifi was fast and connected every time. Room was large and comfortable. Easy access by train or car to anywhere in the city
The doors on the fridge need to be reversed! :)
Comfortable and close to medical.
Room was nice and big and bed wonderfully comfortable. Plenty of kitchen facilities. We didn't have a car during our stay but this was not a problem with the tram line/MAX right out on the street, and close to bus services too. Was also close to some great restaurants, bars and a short tram ride to a supermarket. Walking distance to Alberta and Mississippi precincts, with their dining and nightlife options.
Family owned and they legitimately are concerned with your happiness! Nothing but positive vibes!!
- MAX runs less at night - ventilation doesnt work in bathroom
-Good price compared to downtown portland -Clean and spacious Close to MAX Yellow line
The window unit struggled to heat the large room, so it was a little chilly. The bathroom in the room we had wasn't handicap accessible for those who need that. (we hadn't requested that, so I don't know if they have accessible rooms or not)
The room was very large, beds comfortable and very thick towels. I was a little nervous about staying here, but it exceeded all my expectations.
Great location, friendly staff and huge rooms.
nothing it was all good
The place was huge with kitchen table stove microwave dishes etc nice bathroom and great living room
The room was huge, clean, comfortable, and quiet. We were absolutely expecting a tiny little run down room. Very nice inside... Was bigger then some apartments I've had.
The Wi-Fi did not work well for us, and the TV had visual static most of the time.
The location is ideal to walk to lots of neighborhoods and the bed was the most comfortable I've slept in ever for this level of hotel quality.
The motel was clean and comfortable and I would definitely stay there again.
My husband and I stayed in Room #1 for seven nights. We had an outstanding experience! Excellent cooking facilities in the kitchenette, very comfortable and warm bed, and great water pressure and hot water in the shower. Best wifi I've ever had at a motel, and I've stayed at quite a few motels. Lovely staff who are always happy to be of assistance. Great free parking for cars on site. One-storey building is very sound-proof. 1.5 blocks to the yellow line MAX. Super easy to get all over Portland on the MAX. We almost never used our car the entire week. New Seasons Market (awesome grocery STORE with lots of locally sourced products) is 0.9 miles from the Monticello Motel, easy to access by car or MAX. Laundry facilities are available if you ask at the front desk.
No outlet in bathroom. Shower drained very slowly. Heat seemed to be either on or off with the thermostat not working.
Very good value. Large room with plenty of light. Nice and clean.
The only thing that may annoy some could be that the shower is really small so showering with a friend is a challenge.
This Motel id a great value and literally just minutes from all the fun things to do while visiting Portland.
The Tram ran right down the middle of the street about every 10-15 mintues. Was pretty noisy. Not in the greatest part of town, so every noise made you want to check your car and it was hard to sleep.
Room was big for the price and was very clean.
Constant noise all night long from the metro transit system which something that can't be helped due to the location of the facility. Also the constant interruption of sleep caused by the on and off cycles of the heating unit.
The friendly staff, the availability of the kitchenette, cleanliness of the updated unit.
clean simple comfortable location tramline good restaurants within 10 min walk free parking
Would have liked an outlet in the bathroom.
I liked the spacious room that offered a kitchenette. Clean, friendly.
-No iron/ironing board -Shower/mirror is short for tall guests
-Close proximity to a rail stop -Very clean -Nice room accommodations
Street train is very close (too noisy)
Great big room, well-equipped, good location (about 15 minutes from downtown Portland by tram - the station is just a few minute walk from the motel), good wifi
A lot of things were outdated inside the rooms.
The location is great if you are wanting value close to downtown. The neighborhood around it was clean and quiet.
I put a do not disturb hanger outside the door because we didn't need our room serviced but I went to the front desk to ask for an extra towel and the man working got extremely offended about us choosing not to get our room serviced and almost did not give us a towel
It was clean and in a good location
