This is a really pleasant small hotel in a superb location. We had a junior suite which was well appointed with a great big bed and decent sitting room. There's a lovely lounge to hang out in.
Weirdly, there's no signage on the front so make sure you know the street number. No in-room wi-fi though good free connection in the lounge.
Great personnel. Great location, close to many attractions and restaurants, at a reasonable walking distance from Penn Station. The relaxed ambiance overall.
The beds were impeccable and very comfortable but the room was not perfectly clean... Dust on table, stains on walls... Nothing really serious but it deserves more attention.
The ambiance was quiet and elegant
Large room attached to bedroom
We loved the staff! Felt atypical for NYC to have such kind and attentive staff.
Decor, location, friendly personnel, spacious very clean room!
The big tables for breakfast. We didn't have privacy and also the bread toaster, it was slow and located in an odd spot. That's it.
Excellent location close to Grand Central. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. I had a great night's rest (after celebrating NYE in NYC) in the King bed that the concierge upgraded us to! I will certainly consider the Morgans for future accommodations.
Could not request late check-out on New Year's Day.
The location is relatively good. I say so because it's in high 30s streets which is a little far from all the activities in the 50s. But it is on Madison and that's a good spot. The hotel is modern, same as most of the other establishments from the same group. I have stayed at Hudson in New York and Delano in Miami previously. The staff is friendly, helpful and meets most of your needs.
Hotel is tiny, as most of the New York hotels. Therefore, do not expect for a tub in every room unless you ask. Which wouldn't happen all the time. We didn't get one. On top of that, the bathroom looks old. This boutique hotel is renovated to look modern but because the building is too old and I suppose they didn't pay enough money so that you can tell all the cut-corners during renovation. What really upsets me is their bed is so tiny. They are definitely not a twin size. Barely a single and very short. So I end up sleeping on their narrow couch for the entire stay. I don't believe they offer rollaway beds but I didn't even bother to ask. Their valet is a partnership with a nearby garage which don't offer in and out previlege. That's not uncommon in New York but you are able to find many who does over this service. I would justify by saying that this hotel is definitely not good for a family trip. But I would consider staying on my own if Im just on my own if I don't have better option. I wouldn't say its a 4 star, probably in a 3.5 range.
Staff very friendly and accomodating
i thought the WIFI was free but we paid $10
Location, style, comfort
Charged for Internet despite being advised wouldn't be. Charged for movie we never watched. Contacted regarding house keys we left in our room on departure but received no response from hotel
Bathroom was small!
Quality of the included breakfast
Location, clean, comfortable bed
No restaurant in hotel. In bad weather, bit of an issue but overall everything else in hotel good. Quite expensive but NY prices so to be expected.
Room was a decent size for NYC (bigger than most places I have stayed at in the city); breakfast included (although minimal selection) was a plus; good location right on Madison; staff was friendly; loved the rain shower and spacious shower.
Hallway looks a little dingy and rundown, but I think thats the look they were going for; rooms are in good shape. Bathroom is small with zero counter space; shower took up most of the bathroom. The hotel charged me a huge incidental fee (which should be reimbursed) but at a room rate of $269, my card was charged $700 - taking up most of my credit limit for the duration of my stay in NYC; when we asked them to charge the incidental fee to another card, they said they couldnt because that card was not authorized (this is the first time a hotel has ever told me that), so that was slightly annoying.
Just got back from 6 days in New York and stayed at The Morgans-absolutely fabulous. Great position, very clean, lovely decor, excellent staff and brilliant breakfast. Would recommend to anyone. Couldn't find anything negative about the place and I am very fussy!!
Unstable wifi. A killer. Will not return.
The Morgan is my Favorate NYC Hotel. Great Location, Great Staff, Great facilities and Great Breakfast!
Bed. Area.staff. Breakfeast.room.
Great continental breakfast which managed to turn this full English lover to the dark side!! Superb location with easy access to all the main sights of Manhattan. Comfortable bed Great size room for New York
Did not change sheets all week and did not always have advertised coffee available. When questioned about coffee staff were a little unhelpful and certainly not concerned about remedying the situation. Like most places in Manhattan drinks in the bar were massively overpriced.
Location was super Breakfast included was a bonus Friendly staff Great shower No noise from street or inside the hotel - peaceful
Bathroom quite small Room didn't have a view Internet access was patchy at times
There is nothing outside of the room but for a small lounge with limited 8am- 8pm access
Cozy room, comfy bed. Loved the breakfast/bar/ sitting area off the lobby. Nice area.
No in room coffee setup. A little bit of a hike to the subways but not terrible.
Loved the great breakfast. Made our stay more convenient and an excellent value.
Bathroom was a bit small. Shelf was too high for a 5'2 person.
Awesome location, fruit for breakfast, stylish though a bit small rooms, staff was always keen to help. Would stay there again.
The bed lining hasn't been changed the second day of the stay. Though the third day someone "remembered" to do so.
The service was good and the bed was comfortable
Traveled with friends, paid the same price for room as friends yet they got a suite. Asked to have same room as they did and was told it would be $100 extra a night. Very disappointing.
