Standing more than a century in Washington, D.C., this beautiful hotel is just a 7-minute walk from the Dupont Circle Metro Station. An on-site restaurant with Starbucks coffee is available.
Score from 634 reviews Excellent
Only steps from the heart of Washington, D.C., this luxury boutique hotel is a short walk from Mount Vernon Metro Station. It features an artful blend of old-world elegance and contemporary amenities....
Score from 148 reviews Very good
Club Quarters in Washington DC is a new concept for the hotel industry. This private, full service hotel overlooks Farragut Square, and is 2 blocks north of the White House, and near Lafayette Square....
Score from 876 reviews Excellent
The old-fashioned and historic style of the hotel and rooms are unbeatable. It is also located in a old building with a lot of history. Very friendly staff, superb wi-fi (300 mb/s!) and good location.
The rooms are poorly sealed and it becames quite cold and not sound-proof. Construction works on the hotels courtyard. The breakfast is acceptable but not good. It would be nice with ceiling lights in the room, or at least a central light button; as it is now you have to turn on all the lamps individually.
Location not far from public transportation.
Works undergoing for renovation and expansion. Should be an ideal hotel when all is completed.
Quiet hotel with quiet guests Friendly porters Excellent restoration of period property
Not willing to change rooms Poor breakfast options Heating ducts emit nasty smell Tiny rooms for price No restaurant
Comfortable beds Amazingly helpful staff Breakfast included Quiet location even though centrally located Valet parking The porch was unbelievable!
Wi-Fi in room instable Breakfast will not be included when hotel expansion is done
Staff provided excellent service and very caring
The staff were always helpful and willing to assist. They made me feel valued and respected. The building is under renovation and I got to see it while still as it had been for decades,
The morning breakfast was too continental. Limited choice of fruit and nothing for gluten free. In their defense, they are under renovation and have no kitchen
The day we arrived was really hot, so the receptionist welcomed us with two bottles of cold water! Then in the lobby we found cold iced tea and cookies. Breakfast was really good too.
It's a bit far to walk from Union station.
Construction workers were working all night at one of the other buildings of the hotel.
Friendly Staff, nice location, clean and good value for money
on going construction works
outdoor breakfast possible (and very tasty) well...everything!
The location was good. It was close to public transport. The staff were excellent and helpful. Good breakfast.
Return lodger (2nd stay). Location is excellent and each time (yea!) found free on-street parking within sight. Staff congenial, refined and reserved. A boutique-type hotel with the charm lacking in chain-hotels that offers good value at Booking.com rates.
Absence of silverware - even plastic ware - at breakfasts (particularly odd given Morrison serves dinner); long wait for utensils to show up. And if we hadn't learned early to push the "close door" button on the elevator, we might still be there 4 weeks later (grin).
Great historic inn. Maintain the character.
Due to building work next door there were some disturbance. Breakfast was very basic.
Architecture of the building
Low value for money. Greed.
Great room. There is even a small business center.
The breakfast was really a shame for hotel of that standing. I've got better ones in 2* hotels and some guest-houses ib Europe.
Convenient to everything.
Location was seedy.
I liked having the 2-room suite. It gave me plenty of room. And the bed was great.
I didn't like having cold air from the air conditioner blowing on my wet body as I stepped out of the shower.
Several problems with the room: - no Wi-Fi connection as advertised - no house keeping - no curtains, I had to leave the blinds down all the time - breakfast area was so small that it was not possible to have breakfast in the morning.
entire staff extremely polite, professional, friendly and helpful; great location, great value for money; will return without a doubt;
Location Staff Room size En suite facility Breakfast
Decor was tired, eg curtains had holes due to wear Could not watch TV without wedging open the furniture door which otherwise would keep closing.
5 minute walk to convention center. Great continental breakfast. Very quaint and attractive architecture.
Reservation issues... blamed on booking.com. Not sure how that's possible. We were given a 1st floor street side room at the last minute, when we had booked a courtyard room 2 months prior. Street noise was awful. Sirens all night. Street walkers. Yelling. Fights. LOUD trucks and cars...etc. I didn't sleep more than 5 minutes at a time either of 2 nights stay. I kept waking up with my heart jumping out of my chest from the intense level of nose. Worst nights sleep ever, considering it's not cheap to stay in DC. Seriously. It seemed like everything was right next to the bed. Single pane windows just above the sidewalk. Not a great way to spend the nights on a business trip. Smaller annoyance - a small TV was tucked into a bed side clothes armoire, which was awkward and uncomfortable and the armoire doors had to stay open, basically to the edge of the bed in a very small room... instead of placing a small flat screen TV in the obvious location - on the wall across from the foot of the bed like every other room in the world. Little things like that could be overlooked if there was a chance of getting a good nights sleep. A complete lack of sleep ruined the experience as a whole. Too bad. An otherwise nice looking facility as a whole.
location in relation to the Washington Convention center and the nearest Metro station. decoration in the lobby and breakfast area friendliness of the staff
room was cramped and offered little decoration, no overhead light, only table lamp (did not work) and small light above the bed Bed wasn't the most comfortable for my tastes even though they assured the construction going on in regard to the hotel's expansion wouldn't affect customers, I had loud, cursing workers outside my window at 6am on a Saturday.
room was clean and comfy. breakfast was basic, cereal and bread. could use some sausages.
10 minute walk to the nearest subway station
Good location, room was clean and BIG! Friendly staff, good breakfast, GREATTTTT coffee, bath and body works toiletries, bed and sheets were SUPER comfortable. I'd definitely return!
Pillows were HUGE - too high for a side-sleeper. I asked for a smaller pillow but was told they only had 1 style. I ended up having to sleep with a folded blanket as a folded blanket. It was not comfortable at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very disappointed that there were no options. Only 2 hangers in closet.
