I loved the look, the ambience, the service & the location. The overall experience was nothing short of extraordinary. I shall return again and again.
location, staff and room.. all perfect.
The room was lovely and the staff very attentive, kind, and helpful! A very pleasant experience!
Everything was perfect.
Great location. Very nicely furnished rooms.
Not much of a view from our room.
Wonderful location, comfortable beds and very clean rooms.
Got stuck in the basement rooms and spent $229/night with a view of concrete and the parking lot. We awoke to moving chairs above our room at 2am and midnight on the weekend nights due to our room being underneath the lounge. So not worth the money!
The staff was courteous and helpful, and the room was pleasant and well-appointed. The building is in the heart of Old Town Alexandria.
The room could have been a little bigger.
Great location. A block down from all the great restaurants and shops on King St. Beautiful hotel.
$27 per night for parking is pretty high. Luckily, found street parking that is free after 6pm Saturday thru Sunday.
Clean place nice location.
I was put in room 106 which I felt I was in a basement. I did not expect from a nice hotel to have me stay at a bacement. What made it woes is I have isse with closed rooms like this and had to spend two night in a bacement room. The worse of that the front desk staff did not do anything about it after I complaint to her about my phobia of being in closed blaces The room was clean, room cleaning people were very nice. I spoke with the general manager whole leaving who was nice. Thank you any way
The proximity to Old Town Alexandria was great - we could walk to shopping, restaurants, etc.
It would have been good to know that a room on the first floor was actually in the basement.
The location is just off King Street, so it was quiet. The staff was extremely helpful and accomodating. I love this little boutique hotel!
The air conditioning unit was a bit noisy.
The people work there were all very helpful and respectful. The hotel is comfortable and feels like home. It is beautiful place to stay.
They had tea and coffee out. I think they should have non dairy creamer or soy milk for those of us who can't have cow's milk.
Convenient, quiet at night, polite service
Heat very noisy, airstream unpleasantly forcefull, gave me a sinus headache
Nicely appointed room; very nice staff; great location for walking around Old Town Alexandria.
rooms are not sufficiently insulated from hallway sounds and outside sounds; onsite car parking too expensive; something in addition to coffee/tea in the morning should be offered.
Lovely, lovely, lovely. I would come back in a heart beat. A bit pricey compared to alternatives, but well worth the additional expenditure. Stayed at the Fitzpatrick in NYC--a rival ;-)
Parking a wee-bit steep.
Great location, ambiance, and service. Courteous staff and superb suite amenities. This facility is convenient to all attractions in Olde Towne!
Heating, ventilation systems seemed dated. Frequent cycling of in room units caused dry throat due to low humidity. You either froze or baked during system cycles in the auto ode.
Neat, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated.
Hotel location and Hotel Atmosphere
Room given was gloomy with no View on the basement level. Staff attitude when I told them that I did not like the room.
Access to Old Town, Alexandria.
Our room, probably the worst in the hotel -- below ground level and right on the street.
This is a worldclass small luxury hotel on an excellent location
the (karaoke-like) entertainment in the bar (two evenings in a row) was below all standards, and made us flee from a nice, cosy evening at the hotel !
Underground (almost) windowless bedroom
Wonderful staff and lovely accommodations. I've stayed at the Morrison House many times, and I always feel comfortable and welcomed.
Great location in Old Town. Can't beat the service and attention to every detail. Place of choice every time we come to that area. And the piano bar is the very best in all of DC area. Great way too end an evening listening to great musicians and local talent from the area.
Morrison House is ideally located for a trip to Old Town Alexandria. The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff friendly and helpful.
Staff courtesy/helpfulness was outstanding! We loved the relaxed, country feel of the town. Location made DC and surrounding areas accessible.
We would have appreciated a larger room. The mini bar should be complimentary, with some limits, of course.
