Motel 6 Monterey - Marina  

Location.

Typical Motel 6, no amenities and at $70 overpriced for the motel it is. Too much animal excrement on all the lawns.

I love the location of the hotel and the feel of it.

The non-smoking rooms smelled like smoke. Shower head needed to be updated and had little shower pressure. Rooms have to be updated because they seem really basic and generic in its totality.

Cheap and clean.

Smaller than I thought, no alarm clock. Also didn't check to see if there was a microwave or coffee maker, would have been nice.

It was on the way to San Francisco and near the golf course we played.

Rooms spartan - not particularly clean.

Coartyard is beatiful!! I can always take my dog!!!

It would be VERY helpful if the motel provided waste cana and poop scoop bags or shovels on the far end of the driveway!!!!! There were lots of poops over there!!!

Minimalist breakfast: no tea, almost nothing to eat. The hotel is border line to deceive the client when it is announcing "breakfast offered" To worsen the case, there is no kettle/coffee maker/micro wave...

Hotel staff (reception area ) were very friendly, proffesional and very helpful. It was a pleasure to deal with the two ladies from the reception. We thank you very much for their services.

drove 6 hours and room not ready when we arrived it was already past check in time wanted to freshing up before meeting family in santa cruz was not able to had to leave got back to motel around 9pm door was open but cleaned

Location. Short one-block walk to the beach and shopping, yet away from the freeway. Best value for the money, ever.

The facility is typical of a motel, with the essentials and minimal amenities. The person at the front desk, Roneel, was extremely helpful and patient. There was a miscommunication with the price and he made sure it was taken care of and I was satisfied. Customer service at its best.

Reasonable price for location.

Person at check in did not express any kind of welcome and when asked for room on first floor said there wasn't any available. In morning was told by another employee there were rooms on first floor that had not been used. Towels are very cheap and limited.

Su proximidad a un Dennys para poder cenar, ya que no hay absolutamente nada en al menos 5 kms a la redonda. Cerca de la autopista.

La habitación muy escasa, no es amplia teniendo en cuenta las habitaciones en otros moteles de EEUU, pero suficiente para una noche. No tienen internet gratis, hay que pagar 2$. No tienen ni gel ni champú. Tampoco nevera, ni microondas ni nada. Pagas por una cama y por tanto el precio no creo que sea adecuado por el servicio ofrecido. Tan solo un café por la mañana de desayuno. No repetiré nuncan en Motel 6, ya que no se adapta a lo que busco en un hotel. La habitación anticuada, pero limpia y colchón no muy cómodo.

The hotel staff is very nice and forthcoming to help. And the location is good for the connection to Monterey or other neighbouring cities.

It was relatively inexpensive, but not a particularly good bargain.

Reserved on booking.com but motel would not honor price without paperwork and also charged tax and service fee in addition to price quoted. For the final total, I would have reserved a better motel in a more convenient location.

Was petfriendly with no charge. Good location dennys right next to it.

Ask for handicap room, did not get one til the second day.

The room was clean. The motel was quiet. The price was very good. There was a Denny's nearby where we were able to get a decent healthy meal.

False Advertisement. The Motel was advertised as "Only steps from beautiful beaches and Monterey's Fisherman's Wharf, offering shops and restaurants." Not one word of this is true. The beach was not within walking distance and not visible from the motel. Monterey was 1/2 hour away by car. The only restaurant was a Denny's and there were no nearby shops. The room was so basic there were no dresser drawers, no coffee pot, no clock, no hair dryer, and the toilet would not stop running unless we removed the lid of the tank and fiddled with the works. There was no dining area inside the motel. All this might have been acceptable had it been stated up front. Our biggest objection to this extremely basic shelter was that it was blatantly misrepresented in the Booking.Com description. The picture in the add was not even the actual motel. I have traveled all over Europe using Booking.com and this was the first time the description was a blatant falsehood.

I loved the location. Right off the freeway, right by Walmart and gas station. I like Motel 6 because I can take my dogs for free.

The bed was supposed to be queen and it was more like twin. The whole room was clean but had a strong odor of Lysol. Old towels.
