Motel 6 - Portsmouth

The whole facility was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was great.

There was a black stain on one of the bottom sheets. The sheet had been cleaned, but the stain, which appeared to be grease or make-up, did not come out.

central location, close to everything,reasonable rates,

the excess ice accumulation in the fridge..it seems as never been defrosted ( the little freezer section )

It was a good budget motel, had what we needed for one night and was clean. A nice new, large shower. Don't believe they raised their price just because it was a busy weekend in the area.

No clock, hair dryer, only one end table at bedside, tissues, shampoo sample.It was the same price as I usually pay for these things elsewhere but it was a busy weekend in the area and others were either booked or doubled their prices.

Quick to highway and shopping

Had a non smoking room and the room smelled of cigarettes. Also no hair dryers in room(didn't bring one use to having one in room)

Fair price for value Privacy, great bathroom, wonderful shower. Good location. Staff very helpful. Coffee in lobby.

Paying extra for Wi-Fi. As all other places we have stayed offer it free. Difficult access to it.

Our stay here was fine but the wi-fi that I had to pay for was not good at all. The process for two nights of wi-fi wa not explained at all, usage was either so slow that it was frustrating and although told we could use up to 6 connections at one time, we were not even able to use the two we had at the same time. As soon as the 2nd person logged on, the connection was lost. Very annoying and not customer friendly.

Very hard access. Charge for Wifi. No microwave oven. No fridge.

No extras but we were just looking for a clean and friendly motel for our overnight stay

The people working there were very professional

The mattress was absolutely horrible. The only place I have stayed with a more uncomfortable mattress was in China. Additionally, I know it was only $60.00/night, but there were no blow dryers, no shampoo and there was a nice long black hair on the inside of the shower curtain that was hidden because it was on the inside of the very end of the curtain so it got caught because the curtain wasn't open all the way (unless it was the cleaning ladies hair).

Considering the hotel is in front of the main road it's very quiet. Great location for i95 travelers. Hot coffee included in the price. Good size room good money for value.

we spoke to the desk about the sink in bathroom not draining properly and yet when we left on Sunday it was still not fixed,the coffee in the morning was not good and also tea should have been offered, not everyone is coffee drinkers, other than that no complaints

Qestioned whether sheets were cleaned from the previous guests stay, as one bed had a lot of hair (hair AND eye lashes) under the pillows which disgust me but my husband wiped it clean and it didn't bother him!

Although the overall experience was fair and comfortable the lack of housekeeping was very dissappointing. Housekeeping did not appear to enter our room. We had to call down for towels to be brought in as the used ones were not replenished. The trash was never emptied and the beds were not made. Being at a hotel for 3 days, i would expect that someone would come and at the very least empty the trash and replenish any necessary towels. In general there was no housekeeping for basic upkeep.

The room had no clock,beds were small and was not very clean, no bags in the garbage cans.

Price-we were in the area for a funeral.

The only problem we had was that the sink in the bathroom was draining very slowly.

I know my booking was completly last minute however this Motel was not worth by no means $99.95 for a night stay the sheets an blankets in the rooms were very outdated I have stayed at multiple places and its been years since I went to a hotel that still had bedspreads and old cotton blankets and only two pillows on a queen bed setting.. Old televisions and just very old facility ..
