One side of the hotel has a fence that seems a little more safe, however the other side is literally a main passage for all the vagrants in that area!! When we showed up there were three homeless guys asleep against the building next to us (about 20 feet away). We really didn't feel safe there. Although once you crossed to the other side of the hwy. it cleared right up, and it was about a mile to the river walk. I would not stay here again.
The staff was friendly, and the proximity to the river walk was the only reason we actually stayed there.
Parking hassle at check in. They tow due to location and that creates a burden for the costumer provide vehicle info. Not huge but it meant two trips to the office. No extras. Very noisy. Twice asked for money in the parking lot.
For the area and age it was very well maintained. You can see the effort that has been put in to keep the place as nice as it is.
Not that I hate homeless people, the fact that I can't turn into the the motel without one person walking to the vehicle, made me feel very unsafe and or fear for the worst. I will not stay at this location anymore. Bottom line, on side looks okay decent and the other side is terrible with people laying around everywhere.
The room in fact did look nice. A fridge would've been nice but was still great. I was impressed.
After seeing 3 towels with hairs in it. Trust me , i wish i had never paid a booking there.
More for breakfast
Big clean quite
I wish they would have helped store my bags so i could have done some last minute shopping after checking out. But i guess its a security policy which is understandable at these times.
Motel 6 was true value for money. No complaints except for the paid wifi, staff were fantastic and offered complimentary coffee whilst i was waiting for my airport taxi.
Not feeling safe and bath tub of was backed up.
Water pressure to take shower was very low and had hard water very hard water
Worst hotel experience I've had in a very, very long time. Where do I start.... Vagrants are allowed to walk through the parking lot bothering customers. I was approached 7 times during a 2 night stay. I was asked for money several times, sometimes in pairs, which was intimidating and very uncomfortable. I literally had to park right in front of the room to pack my truck as quickly as possible so these people wouldn't come by to bother me. I had stayed there in order to walk at night to Market Square, but I felt completely uncomfortable doing that. There is literally a constant stream of these people in the parking lot for some reason, have no idea what is attracting them to that corner, but they're everywhere!! The McDonalds next door had 2 police officers present to keep these people off their premises, yet no such measures were being taken by Motel 6. Can't you all build a fence around your property to separate these folks from your guests?? I have never seen anything like it. I've been approached by the occasional homeless person at other hotels and other cities, but usually it's just one person who has just trespassed into the hotel parking lot. This issue at this Motel 6 is completely different. I doubt Motel 6 brass would enjoy staying at a hotel that you had to go outside with kids packing and unpacking your vehicle while men and women hang around watching and approaching you, sometimes at night time. As for the room itself, the floors were dirty, found a spider in my bed, and found out the first night that the water wouldn't drain in the tub. Wouldn't the cleaning crew who got the room ready that morning have noticed that??? The fact that it was not fixed before a guest's arrival really puts the cleanliness of the entire room into question for me.
Close to the police station and jail so there were a few beggers in the area and Mcdonalds closes early because of that.
There were alot of things we like, but the most was how spaced rooms are!
Anybody that knows anything about SA, knows that it is alot smaller than it looks. Wish the pool was bigger, and there were a few bums because of the area, however, the security guards were always insight.
For a Motel 6,it was incredible. Rooms were big and clean. My son used connectors for his xbox, close enough to walk around downtown! im going back in a few weeks and hope i can get the same place, same service.
I thought I was going to be mugged or killed! Lots of shady characters hanging around the property hitting you up for money, propositioning for sex, and the place was a dump. Room was unclean, all towels showed signs of recent use, floor was unclean. I couldn't wait to leave and will never be back. Total waste of my money.
I didn't die or get mugged.
Overall stay just wasn't good
They refused to allow me to pay the amount I booked the hotel for on your website even though I had the reservation # and info with me! They wanted me to pay $220 for my 2 night stay instead of the $144 I booked it for! After arguing I paid for just one night (it was already 11 pm on my arrival or I would of left completely) I was told " oh yeah, we have problems with booking.com all the time doing the wrong prices". On top of that, the amount of homeless people at the back of the motel and the amount of random traffic of shady cars kept me up all night. Worse experience ever. Someone that runs this website needs to do some follow up of prices.
The only thing I liked was that it only took me 5 minutes to get to my conference from there.
A lot of ghetto people walkin round outside, especially around the mc Donald's next door. Asking for money and what not. Also room had no microwave or fridge.
you charged me extra for another person after i already requested twin bed its common sense that twin bed mean 2 people and should all be included in price !
There was a lot of homeless people hanging around the property i actually got up twice in the middle of the night to check on our truck
The room was a lot better then we though it was going to be for the price they were really nice
Bedding was dirty, hairy and stained.
Nothing, bad neighborhood
No work wifi during entire trip (4 days), unknowledgeable staff, unsafe area
bankrupted and ugly girls
money and beautiful teen girls
Great so far.
Paid WiFi wasn't working very well. Room wasn't as clean as it should be.
Good location for that price (walking distance to most of interesting places).
The homeless surrounding the motel
The closeness of the market
The blanket? On the bed was thin and when we went to get another they didn't have any. Large transient population around building
