Very comfy, clean and value for money.
No luggage storage had to keep it in the shop where they work from.
It was quite close to Las Vegas South strip, the area of Harley Davidson shop and some bars. It is an economical stay for the weekend! The pool was small but really clean and refreshing. The reception is a convinience store.
No fridge nor microwave. The facilities are a bit dark and worne down... Also a bit noisy, as close to the street and airport.
General very bad hotel
Excellent value for the money. Perfect location.
Motel with a very good location, good price.
Very poor wifi, many times you need to log in to the network.
The courtesy of staff was commendable and they were willing to help with specific requirement. The location though a bit was isolated but good as it is on the strip and close to the airport.
The motel did not provide blankets. There was no breakfast. Tariff was disproportionately high. Carpet was extremely dirty and soiled that was evident once you cling over the bathing area. Threre is no coffee and tea making machine. Worst they charge 4% if one uses credit card to pay bills. Altogether it is rated poor and travellers should avoid. It does not give value for money.
Location to convention center and selection of inexpensive food. Price.
Air conditioner had to be on all night, and it was still hot. Noise interfered with sleep.
Price and location to the strip
Room conditions, no central ac, and seeing vagabonds around and one in the pool area sleeping.
Air condition was too noisy
Five minutes walk from the Mandalay Bay, nice reception staff in the deli
Bathroom contained a live 3 inch cockroach, squashed fly on the floor along with dirty feet prints on floor and in bath, bed lumpy, air con very loud, Wi-Fi patchy, TV only had five channels.
The location is very good, a few minutes walk from the first casinos and big hotels. A good option if you want to experience Las Vegas Strip and can't afford the prices of the other hotels. The kids really enjoyed the pool.
The sheets on 2 of the 5 beds were not clean, there was hair in them. But when we told them, they changed them at once.
Was across from the Mandalay Bay
Very Dirty, overall. Especially the carpets in the room. Turned my white socks dark on the bottoms, and when in bare feet, the soles of my feet got filthy. These carpets need to be cleaned badly!! or removed!
Price proximity to airport
*NO Coffeemaker! *Room door warped & did not fit the door frame *No Phone *No coat hangers **Only 1 lamp-poor lighting *No microwave *Small, thin towels *No bathmat *No bathtub *Shower grout was moldy *tiny soap & miniscule shampoo packet *No refrigerator *No stopper in sink * I was told by two different staff members that I could leave my car in their lot while on a Grand Canyon rafting trip, when I came back, my car had been impounded and I had to pay over $500 to get it back. The owner said the staff had made a mistake, but did not offer to reimburse me or even split the cost. Most expensive two nights! I now really appreciate the REAL Super 8 motels!
The smell The noise from the the AC unit The plastic windows Insubstantial door lock The AC unit could not cool the room
Pool, though parking lot too close Cheap and close to LV strip 24/7 shop
Unfriendly guy at the reception
I thought it was a Super 8...my bad! 1. dim light-only 1 lamp in room 2. No tub 3. mildew in shower & dirty shower curtain 4. no extra blanket just sheet & thin bedspread 5. Door to room did not fit into door frame 6. Only 2 small, thin, bath towels, 2 thinner wash clothes, no bath mat. 7. Tiny 1 oz. packet of shampoo 8. no coffee pot 9. no coat hangers 10. no phone 11. no microwave 12. no refrigerator 12. no stopper in sink 13. TV remote did not work 14. WORST - I was told when I made reservation that I could leave my car at motel while I went on a raft trip in the Grand Canyon. I reconfirmed with the girl who checked me in when I arrived. She said it would be fine and told me where to park. When I returned from the trip, my car had been towed away at the request of the hotel management. It cost $549 to get it out. The hotel manager said the girl who told me I could leave the care had made a mistake. Also she never told anyone else that I had gotten her permission to leave it on their property. They would not split the cost with me, but did offer a ride to the impounding facility. In an effort to save a little money, I spent about 8 times as much. I could have stayed at the fancy Mandalay Bay Hotel across the street from Motel 8! Never again!
the wifi and the location
it was old and moldy
Location. It's easy to get to from the airport. It is situated opposite the Mandalay so you can get the monorail downtown. Wifi was excellent.
No fridge or microwave in room. However you are able to use the microwave and water heater in the store. And ice was available free of charge. Also to take on our journey.
The gentleman that works the night shift is extremely helpful, and gave us a bag of ice to take on our road trip. He did the same last year when we stayed there. The Motel offers free hot water and ice in the convenience store as they do not have microwave or fridge in the room. It is opposite the Mandalay so really easy and convenient to get downtown on the monorail.
No fridge or microwave in the rooms. No bath or sink plug.
Because there is no facility available as compare to cost... Refrigerator , microwave nothing is there and wifi was not working.. Totally disappointed
Across the street from the Mandalay Bay. Can literally walk there in 5 min.
Roaches and crickets in room. Rude rude rude staff...we were 20 minutes late checking out and they pounded on the door twice saying they called the cops because we were "tresspassing." (Check out time was noon and this all by 12:15pm.) My fiance and I are normal folk, no drug use or even alcohol etc in the motel room. Just extremely rude staff! Would not recommend unless you are desperate 2 stay near the Mandalay Bay.
Location is good.
No land phone & radio in the room and my room was cleaned once during my three days stay there. I have stayed Motel 8 in some other cities and I think this Motel 8 in Las Vegas is not as good as the most other Motel 8.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, service was swift and efficient, and I especially liked the red haired fellow working the desk and room service. He was friendly and hard working. I entered my room and smelled that good bleached smell that lets you know right off the bat what kind of experience it will be. No one bothered me, and the facilities were both clean in appearance and recently cleaned. Beds were comfortable, the wifi was solid, and the hot water and a/c worked well. I was able to go right across the street to my convention at the Mandalay Bay, and there were several normally priced places to get decent food 50 yards away on the same side of the street. Pops Pizza was tasty. The price of the room was incredibly fair.
There were 2 human hairs in the bathroom. The place had obviously been wiped down thoroughly, and they were probably the most sterile hairs out there, but they were visible and that might freak someone out. I'm pretty sure they would have re cleaned if I asked but I just went with it, and I'm completely happy with the experience otherwise.
Claudia and Yvonne loved the location, the pool and the friendly staff always looking out for our needs.
