Motel Capri  

The hotel is recently began to be refurbished in a orderly way. You hear nothing about the work and the hotel is becoming very beautiful.

Nothing.

Wide, clean and modern romos.

Nothing at all.

The room and bathroom had lots of space, and the beds were comfortable. The location is close to San Francisco's best tourist attractions, and a few places to eat are at a walking distance.

The pictures of the Queen Room showed 2 beds, so I reserved one of these. When we got there, the receptionist said that "I don't know what happened, but the Queen room is just one bed". When we asked for an upgrade, he had to call someone, for unknown reason and we had to wait for half an hour or more. I don't know what was the trouble, but when I said that if we couldn't get the upgrade, we would leave and I would do my best to cancel the payment, he charged the difference with the same credit card, without informing how much it was before! After this event, the receptionist became kinder. The wi-fi was slow, sometimes too slow.

I love the location. Motel Capri has always been my place to stay since moving out of sf

The room had been remodeled. However, the room we were given was very small. The toilet seat cover came off. The clothing rack was not properly bolted to the wall. I had requested a room upstairs and was put in a room on the first floor. Right next to the office. Therefore it was a bit loud. As we saw other rooms - they looked much nicer. There were stairs on the duvet covers - yuk!

I lived in The City forty years ago, just up the street from the Capri. Perfect location - good night's sleep.

I might prefer a somewhat larger bathroom, but that'd be tough to change. Really no big deal, although ladies might not be thrilled.

The location and price were excellent

Parking space is very narrow

All new furnishings. We come down for medical appointments and it is extremely convenient. Staff is very friendly.

Great location. You can get there by foot anytime during the day or night since its a safe place. Rooms clean and new. Good wifi. Free parking (albeit low on available spaces).

Walls must be thin cause you can hear al sorts of noises. Breakfast needs some work.

Motel Capri is a bit of an enigma - shows a bit of wear and tear (inside and out), but was actually quite nice; All the amenities.

Motel-style accommodation - can be noisy - sound travels inside rooms from outside very quickly; No closets.

Love the location. Lived at The Presidio back in the late 70's and Cow Hollow, Union Street, and The Marina are our old stooping grounds. Great bus service. China Town, Fisherman's Wharf, and downtown shopping just a short bus ride away. Our room was very quiet.

Can't think of a thing we did not like.

Very clean, new furniture and good location. Coffee machine inside the room. Very confortable stay for a city trip. Will came again.

Noisy neighbourghs. No fridge/microwave.

The location is good, the neightboorhood is really quiet and safe and there is some small places to grab something to eat... close to lombard street which is reall close to the fisherman wharf and its easy to catch the buses from there... the place is clean and really confy.. we were not expecting much because of the price..but once we got there we were amazed, cuz the room was really nice and look really fancy actually, cable and wifi were good and the personal was really helpfull.

Breakfast was ok, i mean easy to grab and go specilly if u are planning to hit the city really early.

The location is very useful, there is free parking, the price of the room is low for the area. Staff are not the sharpest tools in the box but do try to be friendly and helpful

In my room the phone didn't work and nor did the new a/c unit. Although to be fair, they did bring me a portable heater. And the bedside light was very flimsy and broke easily. Its a low rent place, what can I say..?

Location was good, the staff was helpful and it was quite.

The pillows were not great.

Perfect place for my trip: perfect location, free parking, big room with 2 large beds, flat-screen TV, microwave+fridge, unusual but good shower. The best steak in my life in the restaurant nearby.

No wi-fi in the room, but who cares with 3G.

Run down. Old furniture in the main lobby. Dirty hallways and old painting on the doors. Strong chemical smell in the rooms although the rooms seemed better than the reception area and the hallways. Not as close to fisherman wharf as advertised, it is about 30-40 minutes walk.

The location is good. Free parking is an advantage.

The facility in the room is so poor. The air con doesn't work very well. All the hooks or shelf in the tiny bathroom were broken and gone that I have nowhere to put towel.

Great motel for city trip and perfect location!!!

We had minor issues with the lock, but we were helped by the staff directly!

I was fortunate to have a recently remodeled room. Once the renovations are done, I am sure this motel will be much more expensive.
