Location away from traffic noise. Comfortable bed, free parking.
Breakfast was meager.
Clean and close to my friends.
Clean, fresh and large rooms. Staff was ok. Wifi poor. Location is good, nice neighbourhood just a block away.
Wifi was really poor.
The room was very clean. I would stay again
Parking. Breakfast. Quite location.
Staff didn't respond emails in time, so had to call them abroad. One morning there was an annoying bum at the breakfast area (although he was kinda representation of San Francisco :)).
The bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. Placement of hotel in city allowed easy walks to restaurant/retail area.
Bathroom sink had a bottle top as a stopper. The towels were taken for freshening each day but no clean towels were brought for hours. The closet door fell on me- was broken off the rail. Took 24 hours to have staff repair the safe so that we could use. The entry door had to be banged in with a shoulder to get it open. The design of the hotel allowed every noise outside the door and from other guests to be heard. Overall a very noisy place to stay.
It is in a nice area. Food n coffee shops within a few blocks. It was clean n comfortable too.
Staff were less than friendly but not rude. Bathroom was dated. All walls were scuffed. Walls are very thin.
Location is good; parking lot is spacious; staff is helpful though really slow in fixing the sink in my bathroom.
Poor breakfast but what more I can expect? SF is an expensive city.
breakfast and coffee
Location was good. Rooms updated. Bed comfortable.
Outside of building, elevators very old. Needs updating.
Pros: - the location - the bed - the decor of the room
Cons: -The outside of the motel looks kind of tired and the stairs and communal areas are not very clean. - The internet is very slow (when it's working, because from time to time it doesn't work at all) - The safety certificate on the elevator had expired.
We loved the bed, location and size of the room.
The early morning noises and other guests smoking outside our room. Should be a designated area on the ground floor or similar.
Loved it they had coffee hot chocolate they had enough towels and perfect place to stay while on a budget lpl
Would be better if there was a separate area where people can smoke instead of the hallways
Good price, good location, fair price.
Wi-Fi never worked while we were there, which was essential for our business trip. Smoking is allowed right outside the rooms, which leaks into the non-smoking rooms. There were ants in the bathroom.
You can walk to the piers, and start of the cable cars. Short distance from tour bus route. Very nice almost anonymous restaurant across the street. We stayed for 3 nights, it's not high class but is good value for money, and if you like a walk, you don't have to move your car.
Quiet neighborhood within walking distance to many interesting sites. Comfortable bed and friendly staff. We were able to park the car and leave it past check-out time the second day which was very helpful.
Broken water faucet in kitchenette squirted water all over.
I put excellent on the location because it is one block off Lombard, which has tons of similar motels but also tons of traffic and accompanying noise. This motel was well located given that they had free parking, so we could have a car. It was also just a few blocks to jog down along the marina/harbor, which provided a wonderful running/biking path towards the Golden Gate Bridge each morning! A great way to start the day!
My husband thought the room smelled funny. Our fridge didn't keep things cold at all. The breakfast of sweet rolls, toast, and two kinds of cereal often had empty milk or on pitchers... but in his defense, the one desk guy also seemed to be the food stocker, so he was needing to multi-task. We had a few ants in our bathroom, but again, in their defense, I've been losing my ant battle at home this season, too.
Nice retro motel with free parking. We didn't have any noise problems and the motel was conveniently located.
"Breakfast" consisted of toast only.
the price i was quoted was higher when i arrived at the motel
The receptionists were excellent. Very friendly and efficient. The bed was very comfortable.
Breakfast was awful: the lack of any tables was extraordinary, the food, milk and orange juice ran out well before the 10 am official finishing time. Easily the worst of the 9 motels we stayed in.
nice beds and good refurbish of an old hotel
tile and carpet repair with duct tape, and little flying insects in the bath
Location, ease to get downtown. Great rooms.
The wifi was shifty my entire stay. Went in and out. When I called the reception, the gave me the "we're fixing it right now" excuse. Just get a stronger router, stop the excuses!!!
The room was new and very clean
The staff wasn't very friendly.
parking facilities location
horrible Wi Fi
good location, but maybe had some conference in San Francisco when i stayed in there, the motel price more than the 5 star hotel.
the WiFi was unstable and sometimes not work.
