Score from 314 reviews Good
We liked the location of the hotel being within walking distance to harbor / baseball stadium and access to local transport easy. Parking also very convenient.
Room was very small for 2 people and queen bed. Room was very hot and had a bad musty odor coming from vent that was not clean. Room needed vacuuming corners. Uncomfortable
Location - right by the purple charm city route Breakfast Staff helpful Large room and bed Quiet at night
Not a dislike but hotel is basic and quite dated but this did not have a negative effect on our stay
breakfast was great and plentiful. Staff was so helpful. On a weekend when so much was happening at the inner harbor location was great for walking to activities but far away to not be so noisy.
Older hotel with limited views. No wi-fi.
We liked the centrality of the location, as we were on business and visiting several areas spanning out from Mount Vernon. Also, good historical location for easy pedestrian use during our leisure time, museums & monuments very close. Great restaurants & coffee shops. Easy to get a cab.
front desk very helpful, breakfast and breakfast room, room temperature, shower new and clean
tv not hd
The hotel was very quiet, and the air conditioning worked phenomenally. The bed was nice and firm, and the shower had a good flow.
The comforter on the bed was a little suspect, and the quality of the shampoo/conditioner was poor. I had poor timing for breakfast, as they were out of coffee and I didn't have time to wait. Not their fault, but it was still a little disappointing. Also, the neighborhood was a little sketchy to be in alone, and I had a tough time finding food late.
-friendly and very helpful staff -room: very big and clean -free breakfast
-location: we've been to a baseball match of Baltimore Oriole's and at night we preferred going back by taxi, area seemed not so save, but it's only a 10-15 minutes walk to Inner Harbor and this is a nice very area
Staff Room Garage Food
Good location for us
They are closing this month to upgrade.
Proximity to Johns Hopkins hospital.
No parking.... They leased their garage to a construction company and we had to park 1-2 blocks away. We arrived after 10 pm and my friend is sick from cancer and chemo treatments. The hotel does not appear to be in the safest neighborhood to walk alone.
Location breakfast very good
No parking available
nothing, maybe the location.
A/C didn't work Poor sanitation Bad breakfast
Internet was useless. Too slow to do anything. Couldn't even check emails.
Molly was Great checking me in.
No iron, dust mites behind bed, dingy sheets, just filthy
associates at the front desk
housekeeping were rude. wi-fi was very poor. could hardly get it .
The Hotel itself was well staffed and they were friendly and helpful.
The immediate area was fine, but we walked to Johns Hopkins and the area about a mile into the walk was a bit funky. This is not the fault of the hotel, but people should know.
$80 a night weekend rate Free wifi $4 dollar a day, weekend parking across the street
The Camden bars were a $17 uber ride
we took advantage of the 24-hr check-in, and when we got there very late, the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful! the location is great - lots of restaurants and bars, but the room was quiet. for the price, it was definitely a nice hotel.
the bathroom door was hard to open, and everything was just a little cheap, but reasonable given the cost
Location, you can walk to the inner habor and some of the neighborhoods were charming.
Cleanlyness, strange moldy smell in hallway. Dated furniture and the hotel was dark.
Proximity to the Inner Harbor.
The mattresses were hard as a rock, no sleep. The carpets were so dirty that the bottom of our feet turned black.
We appreciated the convenience of having the MV Hotel so close and comfortable for our recovery after surgery at Johns Hopkins.
Only downside we had was the parking our car issue. This was minor.
Value for money. Looks like an old top-quality hotel just at the beginning of its decadence.
Breakfast was good and it help out a lot with your finance.
I had to wait three days to park in your garage so I had to pay extra for outside parking: Plus, I had to pay for parking when parking should have been included with your hotel stay.
The only thing that is worth mentioning was the bed was firm. The hotel was old and the breakfast was the worst cold and not enough for the amount of guests at the hotel.
Mostly everything! !
I enjoyed it was quiet. Wasn't far from the harbor. It was 10 minutes from where I grew up. I enjoyed it a lot.
I think breakfast could have been better sausage was cooked to long and eggs were cold. When surfing the internet it shows the hotel have flat screen tv but the room I had regular tv and channels were not clear picture was fuzzy.
