The ability to walk to the downtown area. Has great location.
It appears they may be going to do some remodeling.
They didn't have my reservation on file so I got the last room available. The door to the room had to be opened by the front desk so we didn't even have a key
Staff was friendly
Needed credit card to check in. Told staff was using debit card. Staff still ran credit card to pay for room. hope refund on credit card was proper and not charged twice. Housekeeping bothered us to ask if we were checking out; even though it wasn't checkout time yet and do not disturb sign was on door. Didn't use bathtub or shower; soap scum around tub.
Price is OK
-Just hand towels for shower -shower very groddy -no continental breckfast - out of coffee
Room was not cleaned very half ass my 9 yr old could clean better. ..people selling drugs in covered parking so how safe is it
There were holes in the wall where the bed board had been. The hallways were dank and smelly and trim had been peeled off. Total dump.
Staff recommended I look at the room
Even though I was by myself I would not stay. It was a scary looking hallway and clientele.
a mess!!! Do not go there. Dirty, thilthy place!
the hallways were dirty and under some type of construction. The floors had stains and so did the bath towels. My room key wouldnt work, so it took me several trips back & forth to front desk before the young lady with no customer service skills gave me another room. Got there at 11, gained access to a room at 12:15. First review i ever written for a hotel, even though i stay in them all the time for work. I wasnt going to let this night go unmentioned. I was trying to save the company a few bucks, but it was worst idea. Thought it was like another american best value i stayed in b4, but all are not created equal. This motel was run down. even the breakfast muffins for guests were cut into quarters to save the hotel some money.
The fact that if you are unsure of checkout date, they would wait to charge you until you actually checkout.
Not being notified about construction early every morning. No relaxing vacation feel being woke up by power tools. Upstair occupants running and yelling till after 3 a.m. and calls to office ignored. Accusations by housekeeping of smoking in room and being told $500 will be charged to c.c., when in fact we had finally just gotten a few moments of sleep and were not even consious when it supossedly happened. Front office denied saying anything to housekeeper to relay to us. In fact, the housekeeper even entered our room even we had the do not disturb sign on our door and that is what woke us. Sneaky? All in all, upon checking out and being asked how our stay was, we voiced the above and asked if we could get a small discount due to an unsatisfactory stay. We were informed that that is not their policy and to have a nice day.
No air conditioning, no fan.
Door keys did not work most of the time. Tv remote did not work most of the time. Room had ciggaret odor at times. It was a marginal room for the price. We got a lot better room for the same price at different locations in Montana. Shower drain was backed up with hair and appeared filthy.
The airco was not working, and the hotel knew they had problems with it! I am asking booking.com for a refund!
Stayed here over the years because of proximity to historic part of town and farmers market. Hotel getting badly needed update currently.
Everything: Run-down and filthy ... Needs a wrecking ball.
No hot water all night, but ok by morning! At age 73, the most filthy place we've ever stayed at. We didn't dare step into the tub, and wore socks all the time to avoid filthy carpet. People next door were smoking. Parking area has not been cleaned in years. Avoid at all cost!
Slow service (waited 35 minutes at the counter), lost reservation, no air, no hot water, horrible continental breakfast
Facilities needs major work. No air conditioning, stained carpets and dirty walls. No screen door for sliding door patio, so bugs come in when you use fan for cooling.
Convenient walking distance to restaurants and breweries. Short drive to Missoula marathon busses and finish line.
AC didn't work in many of the rooms. We were told they'd send up a box fan and they never did. We ended up buying out own fans and blowing in the air conditioned air from the hallway. If you know that you have a fully booked hotel on a marathon weekend when temps are supposed to get above 36, and you know that 1/2 of your AC units don't work you should probably get it fixed before you have a hotel full of tired overheated runners! Still didn't have AC when we checked out after our race. When house keeping knocked on the door I asked them to come back later, they never did. We mentioned 3 times to hotel staff that we had no liquid hand soap and it never got filled.
Perfect downtown location, very nice front desk person.
Facilities desperately need to be updated; everything very old and worn.
The location was good for walking downtown. Was given a great discount upon arrival as the place was changing hands, that was an unexpected value.
Carpets in hallway were in drastic need of cleaning, rooms were clean but holes all over the walls where items were removed and then just putty but no paint so looked very run down.
Very nice room. They spent the money where you'd most appreciate it. Comfortable bed, great shower, quiet room, microwave, fridge and hair dryer. Don't let the outside of this hotel fool you. You'll love your room!
Parking not so great, but not that big a deal.
Close to interstate & downtown
Stained carpets, very thin walls, high theft area according to local police, room smelled funky, elevator didn't work, appliances were either old or improperly installed.
Room was clean. Did not smell bad. Everything worked like it was supposed to. Great front desk staff. Decent coffee. They wont freak if your not checked out right at eleven either.
Shower left something to be desired. In the way of functionality and cleanliness.
The sheets and the bed were very nice, and more comfortable than I ever could have hoped for a $50 hotel. I've paid more for way less comfy, springy beds. The shower was nice, good water pressure, and the actually provided lots of shampoo and shower gel! Not the highest quality, but still not something you see much anymore. Would absolutely stay here again if needing a place to crash while travelling through Missoula, and recommend it to friends on a budget.
The hallway carpet was quite gross/stained, and the front desk area needed some serious updating to match the rooms.
