If you were expecting a hotel, or inn - you will be disappointed.
In this case we were very disappointed due to the misconception created by booking.com's reviews, tripadvisor's and the establishment's web site.
While there are pros to this place - it needs to be said that it is a ROAD SIDE MOTEL on the corner of US2 and NH16 (Gorham's main street), making it a (relatively) busy intersection for the area, and if that's not enough, train tracks pass next to the back of the motel.
Yes, the sound proofing was good - but it can't block passing truck noises, and certainly can't prevent a passing train (stayed 3 nights, 1 of them had 2 trains, 1 had 1 train) from going "My cousin Vinny" on you in the middle of the night.
You could see the fact that a lot of things were dated even inside the room (old blinds on the back window, heater with a wheel loose).
The fact that nowhere did we see it was a road side motel (and to those I would have expected no more than an average rating, maybe 7.5) was very surprising and ultimately disappointing.
The staff is definitely helpful and got us anything we wanted.
Pros for the room - spacious, tv, refrigerator, microwave oven, desk and a table to sit and eat.
