No bed bugs! Great location. Loved watching all of the activity in the park across the street.
WiFi was temperamental. Air conditioning was set to 78 so ghevroom would get very hot. We had to keep lowering the temperature.
Fabulus cleaning. Lots of space to your clothes Sillent during night - we had a room away from the street
location location location it was perfect
Very clean and modern Comfortable bed Quiet! Convenient to financial district
Wi Fi service was extremely slow Breakfast (included) was unremarkable, but convenient enough.
Location was great, convenient to food, things to do, suibway, Safe. Charming park across the street was a real neighborhood gathering spot. Hotel was very clean, bathroom seemed new with fully tiled walls. Nice view over park.
Some noise from other doors in hallways, and noise from adjacent bathrooms (though not terrible, it's a small hotel with only a few rooms per floor). Breakfast voucher for two people per room (but we had four). Bed was a bit on the soft side. Wifi was poor - disconnected every few minutes.
Loved the balcony and view! Wouldn't book a room there without it even though there are only a few availble. We sat outside on a gorgeous night with a beautiful skyline view and a wonderful breeze (we turned off the a/c and kept the balcony door open all night). Would book again.
The room itself was a little small but the balcony made up for it. It had everything we needed including a mini fridge. Shower curtain allowed too much water onto the bathroom floor but everything else was great.
Wonderful convenient location right in Chinatown, next to Columbus Park. Very nice hotel, with helpful staff. We loved the balcony on the seventh floor! Also, a great view of the park and city.
Being woken up early by cleaning staff talking loudly in the hall.
Location Ambiance Convenience I have been coming here since they opened--always great
Sometimes the neighbors are loud in the hall-but that is not the hotel's fault
Placed very central for walk, subway around New York. VERY comfortable beds. Very nice room. Very nice terrace. Stayed in this Hotel 2 times visiting New York and I will choose this Hotel again. Surroundings are nice.
Nice room, very clean
breakfast with choice, quietness, room is spaceous
As stated above it is in a great location. Hotel has TV direct..great
we had to wait to be served with breakfast. We don't have time to wait.Waitresses not trained and were gruff and rough.
Clean, view, enough space, convenient
Beds too soft, Feet were higher than head, wifi connection was difficult to access. Had to wait 10 - 20 min for it to turn on.
Close to everything ie food, shopping. Staff was very helpful, breakfast was good. Laundry was next door. Very convient. The room with the balcony was excellent.
Air con could not be turned off. But it was OK. The staff adjusted it to make it comfortable.
location, bed comfort, cleanliness.
front desk staff were not helpful polite friendly. Did not greet us upon arrival each day. Barely gave us breakfast details. Such a shame as the hotel location was beautiful, clean and would have stayed there again, but staff need serious customer service skills. They wouldn't even call a taxi, told me they only do car service and that should have been set up in advance. How hard is it to call a taxi for guests in NY City when it's raining??? Too pricey for what it was.
It was very clean. Staff where helpful. Location for China town is perfect and little Italy is 500 yards away. 9.11 visitor location about 10-15 min walk.Boats for island 15 minute walk. Tube is 5-10 min walk away
Tv remote was disaster in the room. The picure on the Web site leads you to believe there is seating on a balcony but this is not the case and only very small 1 table reception area.
Get location. Great food everywhere. Easy walk to shop in Soho. We felt very safe and comfortable.
We couldn't turn out lights from bed.
Modern room (though rather small) very clean and full of light,. An outstanding view from the window. Nice helpful staff.
It is in Chinatown, the Columbus Park is right across the street and gets a bit noisy in the afternoon, but it was OK in the night (we stayed at the 11th floor). The breakfast is very limited and it's in a nearby little restaurant (Chinese). Don't expect anything light or healthy: the all-American eggs, bacon and chips will have to do for you! It is all served on paper and plastic and there are no coffee refills - which I found unusual. We had to pay additionally even for our orange juice.
The hotel is very clean, friendly staff. Right in the middle of Chinatown but if that doesn't matter, it's an excellent option.
Train stations are too far so you need to consider that.
Nice and cooperative staff Very peaceful environment Clean room. Location is near to downtown.
Breakfast is not included in the room booking. Locatiom (China town) is too crowdy.
Everything look so clean and nice bathroom and DTV channel without HD are ok.
we liked the spaciousness, the cleanliness and the large beds, the staff was very helpful and the breakfast at MaMa's was nice, and convenient.
the toilet was extra loud when flushed and on the last night we heard noisy people in the next room into the night
Nice, good-sized room with free wi-fi, quiet street with few cars, the possibility to open the windows (and get some fresh air) was a definite advantage.
Being treated like a second-class citizen at breakfast. The breakfast is in an eatery near to the hotel. We booked a quadruple room for three of us, but it turned out that the breakfast was included only for 2 people, so my friend had to pay. All of us asked for orange juice, but the ones included in the room rate were from concentrate and small sized, whilst the one we had to pay for was freshly squeezed and normal sized! Hardly welcoming! The bed was so soft that we literally sank in it so our sleeping was not restful. The curtain was not blackout, so avoid this hotel if you cannot sleep in daylight. The hotel is on the corner of the messy, smelly Chinatown and is close to a funeral parlour.
Location in China Town is excellent and a good basis for trips all over Manhattan, by foot or by Metro. Spacious and very clean rooms at a comparatively low price. Friendly and capable staff.
Free coffee is available till 12 - this could be extended into the afternoon
Bed Quiet Very interesting neighbourhood Park and people Service excellent & efficient Generous breakfast
