The hotel's website needs to update their pics because I was pleasantly surprised once I arrived at how nice and modern it was. The lobby furnishings look completely updated. Our bathroom was huge and spotless, but you can't tell that by viewing the pics. Loved the free breakfast included in the price. Some others have complained about having to go outside to eat, but the restaurant was super clean and friendly with excellent free food choice as well as expanded menu for additional desires. Parking was as convenient. Just a few buildings away and you don't have to park the car yourself. The hotel quoted me a price of $36/day for parking, but I ended up paying $90 for 3 days...YAY. I know it was a matter of a few dollars, but any extra money to save is great. Back to the hotel, the rooms are offset from each other so they are extremely quiet. I traveled with a toddler and other floor guests said they could not hear him. I suggest getting a room with a park view. I stayed in a king room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the park that was amazing and actually fun to people watch those doing their Tai Chi in the am. Plus the rooms are west facing so no intrusive sunlight early in the am. The pillows are extra puffy, but not stiff. There are two windows that open and offer more than enough fresh air and cool breeze at face level when you're in bed. My room only had one hard back chair so if you have company they may need to sit on your bed (which is high). I can't wait to go back to this hotel. It is the best location near EVERYTHING and with it's kid/family friendly park outside the front door and tasty local fair who can ask for anything more.
The used condom wrapper that my toddler found near the base of the bed. Would like to have had a microwave and there is more than enough space for one. Valet parking would be great so I wouldn't have had to lug all my belongings plus a baby in tow all in one shot from the parking garage.
internet was good
breakfast not so good i would have rather not had it included at cost and just gone somewhere else
Spacious rooms for Manhattan and very helpful staff especially the manager Eddie
They hold $100 on your card for several days after your stay
Views of freedom tower and amazing queen beds. Close to canal subway station
Bit of hassle with credit cards. No restaurant ( bfst is few doors down ) No filled minibar
We love being in the heart of Chinatown/Little Italy....steps away from everything. Our room with the balcony and city view is stunning.
absence of on site breakfast services
Most of things, staff and cleanliness and location. Great value for the money.
The bed although comfortable needed to be turned top-bottom as any mattress should every 6 months - 1 year. Not a big deal, I ended up sleeping turned myself.
Location close to everything, quiet, hotel breakfast menu looked too little but the menu was actually fantastic and lots of choices if you pay! Room was cleaned everyday, fresh towels, beds made! Great service. Double queen room big enough for 3 persons. Helpful hotel staff! Recommenced!
no complaints no problems!
Value Location Comfort Chinese food nearby Thermostat works fine Wifi good
Expensive parking, of course this is NYC. Marginal free breakfast.
Good links to all over new york. Short walk to multiple subway lines, brooklyn bridge, Little Italy. Walkable to many attractions. Just off busy Canal street on side road in Chinatown, this was perfect for lone female traveller not wanting walk any dark deserted streets. Plus was quite nights sleep. Breakfast was good, at cafe a couple of doors away. Friendly staff.
Just expect what you pay for. This very good value hotel in NYC.
The beds are extremely comfortable and the location is perfect. It is located right in the borders of Little Italy and China Town. The rooms are well kept, convenient and clean.
Breakfast could be better.
Really enjoyed my stay. Pleasantly surprised
Free Breakfast Free Wifi Convenient Location
Small room Not enough facilities Hard to find No parking
Elevator, parking garage with discount right next door, and nice clientele
Very spacious, nicely decorated room with comfortable beds. The room was very clean and quiet. The location is away from street noise and traffic.
The breakfast offered was at nearby cafe and not very good in quality. The hotel is located on Mulberry St. two blocks away from Canal St. Taxis cannot get you to the front of the hotel easily. Must get off at the corner of Canal and Mulberry and walk from there.

good location. Safe and plenty of restaurants in area. Close to public transit. Room is comfortable and clean.
Poor WiFi is unacceptable in any hotel now. At least they had a computer terminal for use in the lobby. Washroom needs a ceiling fan. Would have liked to be given more bottled water.
Location is perfect... Can go anywhere by foot....
Staff very helpful. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was a bonus
View from front room (floor 10) was great. Room size was big for NYC. Room and bathroom clean. Even with 2 queen sized beds there was room to walk around them. Bathroom large too. Close to 4 metro stations. Felt safe on Mulberry St. Close to good Chinese and Italian restaurants.
Desk staff not too helpful. Breakfast (3 doors down) was nothing to write home about. Mattress quite soft (old?). Chair was quite old. Seat needed to be refurbished so you didn't feel like you are sitting in a hole. Duvet covers drab and spotted.
I loved the staff, the location, the tranquil scene outside my window, the amenities, the coffee with real half and half, the cleanliness of the room and the comfortable bed. I would definitely go again even though it is a bit pricey for my pocketbook.
Morning staff were very helpful. Night staff were a little rude.
Rooms were a little outdated and sparce.
My room was dark, and the services were not the same as my friend who booked a non refundable room by a long shot. Also the road was blocked with a funeral next door and got soaking wet to get to my cab.
Generous sized room Really comfortable beds Mamas breakfasts were great with friendly staff Interesting neighbourhood- different perspective on NYC Free coffee in the lobby
Slow wifi Reception staff a little disengaged Noisy plumbing
The room was clean and fair in size. It is situated in a very convenient area which is close to the subway. The breakfast voucher was for a restaurant a few doors down that had excellent food and great service. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is comparable to most Canadian hotels in room size. People who don't like this hotel have extremely high expectations. It was great! I travelled with my sister and her 9 and 13 year old. We all felt safe and it was a 5 min walk to the nearest subway.
The only thing that I can say I dislike is the price. However, all hotels in Manhattan are over priced for what you are getting. Therefore, if you are looking for something more affordable don't stay in Manhattan. Check out Queens or Brooklyn.
