Love the art and decor in this hotel! The restaurant has a nice breakfast, and the staff there and in the hotel are great.
The price is high for the Tacoma location, especially given the size of rooms/bathrooms, but it is the nicest downtown Tacoma hotel I've found.
Location for the concert and the breakfast restaurant was great
No newspaper delivered to my door
Beautiful and interesting decor & artwork. Convenient parking, location (close to concert venue), friendly and helpful staff, nice restaurant, reasonable price, comfortable bed.
I think a vending machine or two would have been nice, for a soda or pack of gum. I admit, I didn't opt for the key to the minibar or partake of the honor goodies for fear of very costly prices. I don't really know what it would have added to my bill, but we are retired on a budget.
The room was great and comfortable!
The staff was sort of rude at the front desk. My reservation said 5 people when I booked. There was only room for four people. We asked for a roll away bed and was told it was a "fire hazard" then later when we asked again they said it's a "30$ charge" we argued since our reservation was for 5 people and they finally gave it to us.
We loved that staff was accessible when we checked in late after our wedding. The view was unbelievable and the room service was delicious!
* the decoration in the entrance hall and the elevator areas on the hotel floors
* soft, uncomfortable beds
The hotel is beautiful as soon as you walk in. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are spacious and modern. We enjoyed the restaurant and the lounge.
Tacoma itself has a bit to be desired, but if you are going to Tacoma this is the place to stay!
Loved the decor/design and the displays of artwork all over hotel -- very fun
Service a little slow in restaurant, but otherwise very good
close to museum of glass
room a bit on the tight side, but nice view
I booked online. When we arrived there was no record of our reservation so it took longer than usual to check in. It all worked out and we were upgraded because of the inconvenience.
Clean facility, professional staff.
No military discount.
Spectacular artwork in the lobby.
$16 a day for parking, $10 for WiFi, Fridge was so full of over-priced alcohol there was no room for us to put things. Room was smaller than Holiday Inn. $9 for a small container of Gummi-Bears even made our grandson say no. Room was $228 with parking and taxes. TOO MUCH!!
A fabulous boutique hotel, tastefully decorated and lovely rooms. Has a miece bar with very attentive staff. Breakfast was a lovely experience great food and service.
Elegant, intimate, beautiful.
The hotel is very convenient and is a full service facility downtown. The staff is friendly and welcoming.
Very clean and comfortable.
They should have had more staff in the bar/restaurant area.
The glass art
Original room had not been cleaned. While we were easily switched to a new room, it was really disturbing. The lobby lounge staff was not educated about any wine...and no wine list was available. While live jazz was a pleasant surprise...too loud for the environment. Restaurant closed too early and no food was available in lobby lounge. When returning Saturday evening from being out all day, etc., we could not get to valet parking as the area was completely filled with departing cars waiting their drivers. Very strange.
Fantastic exhibits of glass art on every floor, throughout the lobby and meeting areas. Beautiful, simple and elegant furnishings.
There were several lightbulbs in the room that weren't working, but the staff fixed this problem within 15 minutes of our call. We have stayed here in the past and love this hotel. The glass art is not to be missed; go to every floor and look at the artists showcased. Best hotel in Tacoma.
Very comfortable rooms, beds are great, good hotel restaurant for breakfast. While I make many comments about little things we didn't like, overall I recommend this as probably best hotel in Tacoma. Has character and location going for it.
This former Sheraton property is nicely remodeled 6 years ago, but shows its age in the bathrooms and cabinetry. Also, some of the room floor hallways are poorly lit. No free internet except if you sign up for Stash. Elevators required room card to go DOWN in the middle of the night. Also, side table light on one side of bed was not plugged in and outlet was impossible to reach without moving bed. As we only stayed 1 night didn't bother calling about this.
Loved the decor and the glass. Liked the themed floors. Would like to stay on other floors in the future. the beds were comfortable. Slept very well.
The elevators were a challenge. sometimes they did not accept the room key and people were going up and down the floors until it took. We also had a problem at the cafe. We were a party of 5 on Sunday before graduation and waited over 20 minutes to be seated. But once seated, we waited almost another hour before getting our food. If we had been told there would be this long of a wait, we would have made other plans.
