I liked the location - very conveniently located near to the Grand Central Terminal and station, and close to all the tourist attractions that I had planned to visit. There were shops, supermarkets, restaurants located nearby, and the area was nice and quiet even though it was so central. The room size was excellent - very big and comfortable. I think the heating system in the room could be improved. It could get rather cold at times.

The room was large, spacious and clean. The location was good, with plenty of restaurants nearby. It was not a modern hotel.

Lovely rooms.. Very very good if you go with your family The biggest issue I have is that they charged my credit card for one nights stay and I paid the hotel full payment by TC's as well. I have emailed them 3 times with no response to my query.. A little dissapointed that the would do this. I even went personally but the lady at the reception could not help.. Now I will be chasing my credit carad company since I will not make this payment..

I travelled with my mother (75) and daughter (14) to New York. This hotel is dated in its furnishings however it was perfect for us. It has a separate bedroom and lr. It was nice to be able to sit at a table with chairs for morning coffee and a couch in the evening after a full day of walking. The staff was very friendly however, some more knowledgable than others about tourist information. Walked in the area alone in the evening and never felt unsafe. I would definately stay her again! Our stay at the mhes was from April 23, 2011 to May 1, 2011. Everyone was complaining about the rooms being warm and the hotel's policy is not to turn the air conditioning on until May 1. The front street is very busy/noisy in the evenings/nights thus having to wear ear plugs to bed.

This hotel is well located; beween 2 subways, 10 min. walk; and close to restaurants and commerces; the room was clean, modern and big enough; nfortunately, the internet and wi-fi did not work in the room; only in the hall, but any accomodations in the hall to work with our computer; supposed to be out of order and we have been told that they work on the problem; no results for 4 days;

From the lobby to the hallways, the hotel feels less like a hotel than like an apartment building. Bed linen is worn and torn, towels thin, kitchenware old and not sparkling clean. The basement gym equipment needs repair.

The size of the rooms, and the level of clealiness was very good. We stayed for 5 nights in a one bedroom suite, lots of space. The location, for us was perfect, away from the Times Square madness, but within a lively neighbourhood, and not far from all the sights. The staff were very good, we had reason to be grateful to them. Will be staying there again.

We didn't like anything about this hotel. There are far better choices available in Manhattan at these prices, even if you need a kitchen. The hotel is dilapidated and noisy. The staff has no power to address complaints. The rooms are expensive. We checked out after the first night, even though finding another room short notice during Easter weekend in Manhattan was expensive and difficult. We were extremely glad we cancelled the balance of our reservation and left. We called the Murray Hill East Suites before booking to ask if the in-room wi-fi actually worked if you paid the $8 per day fee. We were assured that it did. When we checked in, we found out it wasn't working! We were offered the use of the free lobby wi-fi. Not only was the lobby noisy and depressing, the wi-fi connection was so poor that everyone crowded into one corner to use it, sitting on the floor if need be. In addition, we asked before booking if double bed suites were available for our travel dates. We were told they were -- but when we arrived, we were told that no one had "guaranteed" us they would still be available the day we checked in. So our room only had one bed. We were told to use the dilapidated sofa bed if we needed another bed. The room we were given faced the street and was quite noisy. The television reception was poor.

Spacious for ny hotels in this price range. Laundry facilities were appreciated. They brought a toaster and microwave on request which was appreciated. Free wireless internet in lobby was appreciated. In-Room internet reasonably priced. Reception staff are typical New Yorkers - short and unfriendly compared to say Australia or England. Bathroom in the junior suite was small and quite tight.Did not give us our requested and required non-smoking room on check-in. Had to move rooms next day. All ny hotels are overpriced.

The location was the most important element because we wanted to be close to Grand Central. The neighborhood became a bonus with great restaurants and we did finally find Dags...We enjoyed Scottys Diner and Fagiolinis. The Convenience Stores were not the best deal, as they had no pricing; I felt ripped off...The spaciousness of the room and the quiet location really paid off. We would return again if need be. Ciao and safe travels.

good location in a quiet area and within 15 min walking distance of the theatre district. Grand central station just 5 min walk , also downtown local bus route 200m. Taxis to most areas are inexpensive or you can buy a 7 day pass for the tube / bus for only $29 Rooms are dated but clean and warm with large comfortable beds. I would stay here again as the area is friendly / safe and central.

I stayed for 10 days in nyc for an event. This hotel room suited me very well because the room was big, it had a kitchenette, a small dining table, a desk, a sofa and plenty of drawers and space to spread my belongings. My room had big windows turned to the back and it was very quiet at night. You cannot control the heating unit. The decor is old style but that didn't bother me at all. If you want wireless internet at your room the only options are to pay per day or pay per month. I wish they had a pay-per- week option. I stayed a little more than a week but had to pay for a month for the internet access. They provide free internet access at the lobby though.
