Good location, Friendly Staff, Beautiful Suite
Lack of free wi-fi
Location, and size of the room
A very comfortable large room with a separate living area with a pull out sofa. Great to be able to make coffee and toast in the small kitchen. Really central location and also close to Grand Central station.
Staying here makes you feel as tho you are at home in your own apartment except that someone else cleans up after you. We had a studio room which had a living room with sofa and easy chair, dinette and kitchenette in addition to bedroom area, two large closets and bath. Location is just a couple of blocks away from Grand Central Station where you can get subways to most parts of the city and boroughs. There are many convenience stores and restaurants nearby where you can either dine in or take out. Also, lots of bagel shops and coffee shops in the area. We really like Murray Hill area - it is less noisy and feels more like a residential neighborhood. Staff are pleasant and helpful.
We have stayed here many times in the past but heard a "rumor" from one of the staff that the place will be closing soon for "renovations". Hope that means exactly that - the place could use a bit of updating but hope it isn't being sold and converted to something else. We would really miss it.
Friendly staff. Great location. Large rooms.
Spring/coil bed was a little old.
Nice familiar atmosphere, We have been going here for the last 7 or 8 years and feel at home there! Comfortable beds, large rooms, very well equipped Kitchen with all the amenities including microwave,.Nice helpful staff, convenient location very close to Grand Central Station where you arrive from the JFK airport directely by bus.
Que no haya wifi free en la habitación
This is a favorite locale: so convenient to everything (subway, restaurants and other amenities, sights to visit) and we can walk everywhere. We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite with a new mattress. The bed was so comfortable. The suite was clean and quiet, too, as we faced the courtyard. Staff was very pleasant.
Not a complaint, just an observation: the furnishings are dated, but adequate and comfortable.
location to Grand Central and Macy's parade excellent. good value
needs updating and better blankets and comforters on beds and new pillows
location is superb- ... next to Grand central, UN offices and many restaurants helpful doorman apartments are very spacious for NYC
sagging boxsprings in pullout bed everything is ancient old- not attractive quite pricey actually for 3 people sharing
Staff excellent - helpful in every way
Location Size of the suite Doorman
Night manager call room at 10:00pm demanding payment even though the full amount had been blocked on the credit card. Bed linens wrong size for the bed - would not stay in place making a comfortable bed uncomfortable Poor quality bed linens. Rarely changed during a 3 week stay
I have been coming here regularly for many years and find it very comfortable. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and I have recommended Murray Hill to my friends who also come here to stay frequently.
I think having internet access free of charge in the rooms would be nice as the lobby can be quite busy ....
Great location.friendly staff, huge rooms, kitchenette, low outside noise, clean rooms, large flat screen TV in each room
No free WIFi Bed mattresses could be better
Being upgraded to a one bedroom suite was a pleasant surprise and would induce us to return. I have lived in several apartments smaller than our suite!
lack of a bar and restaurant on site
Location not far from Grand Central and several delis and a grocery store.. Room size was a positive, as was comfort of the bed..
Too noisy... ask for room not on 39th Street... early morning trash pickup in NYC always an issue.. Also got hit with smell of disinfectant as I initially entered room... opened window first afternoon, which helped.. Nice having small gym in basement, but hours are limited as it is next to a hotel room...
Beds very comfortable, reception and concierge staff good. Well located for access mid town. Appartment was very large with spacious lounge and L shaped into dining area.
Room cleanliness was poor found previous persons underpants under the bed with lots of fluff clearly not cleaned properly for somewhile! Kitchen cupboards while plentiful very old and dated looking unclean. Only a very large old saucepan and fry pan available for cooking so most times had to bring in hot food or eat out. At almost £300 per night for 5 nights more expensive than other local reasonably priced hotels which would be far better appointed.
The room was not in accordance with the informations at Booking.com There were no aircondition and dishwasher.
Convenient location for U.N. headquarters.
Bathroom tub was spotlessly clean but definitely worn out.
I like the fact that is close to the Grand Central and close to the UN. It was nice to have a kitchen that we used a lot.
I didn't like that the free Wifi was in the lobby and there was not much plug in or sitting spaces. I think the rooms should have free Wifi too.
The side of the suite
The kitchen refrigerator worked part time.
The size of the suite, separate living area and bedroom, kitchen even had a dishwasher (although we didn't use it).
Small bathroom, would have liked a somewhat better location, needs some updating.
It is pleasant: the atmosphere, the location. I have staued here several times and Always come back
We liked the friendliness of the staff and the fact that we had kitchen facilities. Everything was comfortable.
We didn't like the untidiness and shabbiness of the lobby. Very cramped.
The suite was huge, probably about three times bigger than hotel room on previous visit to New York. I wanted a two-roomed suite as I was with my father and planned to use the sofa bed, but I was really durprised at just how big both the bedroom and sitting room were. There was also a dining table and chairs which was handy as I went out for takeaway breakfasts most mornings. I used the kitchen just for making tea:coffee and for keeping a few beers in the fridge but it was equipped to cook full meals. Location was great, short walk to Grand Central and lots of places to eat and drink nearby.
