Having stayed at other Kimpton hotels, we found the Muse incredibly disappointing in comparison.
The service was significantly less friendly than other Kimptons, often perfunctory and transactional, rather than welcoming. We weren't welcomed on arrival; when we checked out, no-one asked how our stay had been or if we needed any advice or support in locating transport back to the airport, and in the majority of instances, we struggled opening the front doors ourselves as the door attendants were too busy. far inside the lobby, sheltering from the cold.
Our room was also unacceptably cold. The in-room temperature controls did nothing. If we wanted to relax in the room, we had to huddle under the quilt, and we slept wearing jumpers and socks. The shower had no temperature options between luke warm and scalding hot, further compounding the effect of the cold room.
We would not stay at The Muse again, and will not gravitate towards a Kimpton hotel as we did in this case.
The location was good. There was an above-average range of tv channels.
