Lack of information on charges, noise, facilities and service! No room temperature control.
Room was small and basic but absolutely perfect for what we wanted. Booked apartment for kitchen facilities however there were limited facilities.
Room was clean overall however we did find a dead cockroach in the bathroom and rats loitering around the building we put this down to it being NYC and got over it pretty fast. Apartment is on 3rd floor so if you have any problems with legs it would be a little inconvenient.
We spent a few nights in NYC and traveled like a local. We will definitely do it again. Great staff and locale.
Location, Wifi, Decoration.
Good location. Cozy apartment.
It was hard to get contact to the owner after booking, it took several phone calls before we succeeded. There was a weird smell in the apartment that never went away. A lot of noise from the street.
I felt that the person I had to contact in case of requirements or problems was not friendly enough.
Fees, location, absolutely clean floors and kitchen facilities.
Small bed, small TV screen, absence of laundry facilities.
Very well located. Despite being a bit small, the flat is comfortable and tidy.
The only negative aspect was dealing with the landlady at points. She didn't reply many of my emails, didn't respond to a request for a late check out, and on the first day sent an email asking not to tell neighbours that we were renting the place and mentioning an unauthorized and not previously arranged US$200 deposit. I didn't have to pay anything extra at the end, but it was really uncomfortable.
This sunny apartment is a great place to call home. Staff was friendly and accommodating especially when we needed a super late checkout. Would recommend and visit again!
There is no elevator but 3 flights is not so bad :-)
the assistant who we met at the apartment was lovely, and the location was great. the room was clean and warm.
the first night we almost booked another place to stay at 3am in the morning. the traffic noise was loud, and the vent along side the right of the bed was loud, also the toilet wouldnt stop making a flushing sound. the bed was insanely uncomfortable, the springs in the mattress stuck out and dug into your back. all things combined made it a horrible firsts night sleep. i had to invest in some earplugs and it became more bearable...
Great neighborhood, flat and staff.
Loved it all. Will be back! Gracias.
Location, size appartment, Wifi.
Noise from the street, but it is NYC so can't complain.
the loud traffic, but that´s NYC
Not much. Perhaps just the neighbourhood, Upper East Side - even though the location, at the corner of 2nd Ave, is a major drawback (the windows would need to be changed, it was very noisy)
This was clearly a mistake. When you arrive, you're asked to tell the neighbours you're a "friend" and to avoid any question regarding the apartment. I couldn't get any invoice, even though I asked several times (and the tone of the tenant became quite unpleasant and rude, quite surprising customer relationship for the US). The comfort is really average (old mattress, cockroaches in the bathroom), which makes it a very expensive tiny apartment (almost $400 per night, totally outrageous). There are tons of better solutions in NYC, for sure...
We had a fantastic stay at this comfy and charming studio on the upper east side. The booking process was easy and check in was smooth. Staff was warm and the place was so clean. It was my first time staying at a private apartment but it was a great way to experience nyc. I felt very at home and welcomed. Will do it again.
Don't really have anything to complain about.
