Good hotel. I had no problems with it.
Everything was fine.
Bed covers - no choice - to hot
I only stayed here for one night as I had to change hotels - but I certainly liked the room, though small it was cosy - and the location is ideal for downtown San Francisco.
Location was very close to union square and transport options to and airport. Rooms were beautifully presented, with nice toiletries. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. We were on an upper floor and regularly used the stairs as the vintage lift was slow at times.
Great boutique hotel with nice ambience and great complimentary breakfast (and Internet)
Location, breakfast.. The hotel is "good" but keep in mind that this estimate is for a free-star hotel
Close to Union Square. Walking distance to Market Street and China Town. Personnel was helpful, changed our room because of the noise from radiator. Wonderful breakfast served in the morning.
very friendly staff delicious breakfast
Boutique hotel at excellent location. Kind and helpful staff. Cosy room and comfortable bed Generous breakfast. We got a room upgrade free of charge.
The weak and not stable wi-fi on the 8th floor. Long waiting for the elevator.
We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel and our room! The decor of the room is very stylish, everything is very clean and neat, the breakfast was one of the best we ever had in the hotel. And the location is very convenient for exploring the city using public transportation. Overall, very positive experience with this hotel! Will come back again.
The photos of the room on booking.com were of poor quality and didn't reflect the actual room - the actual is way better!
Free breakfast wasn't great, but that's ok
The location, the breakfast, the ambiance.
This hotel meets or exceeds the current ratings you'll find on all the booking sites. An American who has been living in Europe for the last 7 years the quality here is very comparable to a nice boutique hotel in Paris or Vienna. The breakfast is absolutely outstanding with yogurt, muesli, and many vegetarian options. The warm chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon are a treat. Great job there!
great bar, historic elevator, hotel style
Everything especially the bed and breakfast are amazing.
Everything !! The breakfast was amazing ! Homemade croissants and bread . Fresh raspberries strawberries graphfruit oranges eggs homemade sausages
Right in the center! 8 min walk to Union Square. 15 min to BART. Bus to Fishermens Warf in front of the door. We had a room to the back (#510). Absolutly quiet. Room was modern, new, clean. Breakfast with fresh fruits, cereals, bread, eggs. Breakfast does not change every day, but this was OK for us and the quality of the items is superb. We felt great and at home. Stacy and all of the staff were friendly, joyfull and helped with everything we needed. Definitively we would stay there again.
Breakfast did not change every day, but this way OK for us. Maybe add Tomatos and Cottage Cheese.
Made to feel very welcome from the moment I walked through the door. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable. Very helpful with local information, with buses, places not to go, printing boarding passes ......... Nothing not to like about this hotel.
The location and free breakfast in the morning is a real plus point of this hotel. It is clean and the Wifi works really well both in the rooms and there is a computer in the lobby which you can use free to print boarding passes
The bins are collected every day (except a Sunday) from the alley outside the hotel, I am usually a very heavy sleeper and they woke me. That said, the hotel is great for a short break but only two bedside draws and a small wardrobe may make it difficult for a lengther stay where you would want to fully unpack whole suitcase
A small, intimate hotel; breakfast was terrific; location perfect. Staff was very helpful in every way. Rooms were small but functional.
Closet/table space was quite limited.
Perfectly located in downtown SF. Value for money. Nice charming atmosphere of a historic building. Parking garage for our rental car was next door. Healthy breakfast with fresh fruit und good coffee. WLAN was OK. Nice spatious bathroom.
During our week-long stay, the restaurant floor was used for events every evening. In one case, the music was so loud that our glasses literally danced on the table although we were three floors above. This lasted until midnight. The reception did not react.
Paper thin walls. Could hear the man next door coughing.
The location was great, the staff and the hotel.
The lift was slow but hey ho...
Poor breakfast - same thing every day, scrambled eggs burned every day! Room service was very late (after 4pm), continually forgot to restock toiletries. The solitary lift is old, had no valid permit and continually got stuck. Grossly overpriced for what is a very basic hotel
The bed was super comfortable
The breakfast could've been better
