The bar was sensational. Great cocktails, great atmosphere.
very friendly staff nice hotel with a lot of charm Very good restaurant The best breakfast
We had a wonderful stay at the mystic hotel. The staff were fantastic especially Stacey..... She was amazing and couldn't more helpful throughout our stay Rooms were lovely modern and clean. Ideal location . We will definitely come back again.
Very friendly staff Pretty good breakfast Very nice bar-restaurant on the 2nd floor
Cool bar with great cocktails and live music!!
Couldn't get into the restaurant - which looked great - to use our voucher given to us on arrival. Although the lady on the desk found us a great place to have dinner down the road!!
The location was excellent, just around the corner from Union Square; the complimentary breakfast was very good.
All the area is expensive and this is no exception
Staff were very helpful
Location was very handy for Union Square. However the amount of homeless nearby (nothing hotel can do I know) did make us dislike the location.
Lift is atrocious! Walked 8 flights several times a day as was quicker than the lift. Wifi was awful - at least it's free. No air con made it uncomfortable in the summer.
good location, nice breakfast, friendly staff
on the eight floor you loose a lot of time with the rather slower elevator
Location Staff Breakfeast
The evening concierge Stacey was amazing. She had a great knowledge of the local area and was always more than happy to recommend restaurants and make reservations for us. She was also of great help when helping us with out transfer to the amtrak station in Oakland. We were extremly impressed with the hotel and the professionalism of the staff.
The wifi connection was not consistent in our room (top floor) but if necessary we were able to access internet in the lobby. Also the only lift in the hotel was very slow.
Staff is rude and not helpful Rooms near elevators are very very noisy, could not sleep at all.
This is my second time staying at the Mystic on business and it was another fantastic experience. If you need to be near the Moscone or Union Square on business the value for the facilities and location is top notch. Plus, unlike other hotels in the area, the wifi works very well. You can easily do your work and stream a movie as well.
Wifi never worked
Charming decor, excellent location and pretty affordable considering it's San Francisco. I stayed here after returning to America after two months. Needless to say I was exhausted and wanted to sleep. The beds and pillows are sooooo comfortable and I'm fairly picky about that kind of thing. Breakfast was pretty good as well, only problem was lack of protein. All I wanted was crispy bacon after 2 months in Asia :) But the bagels, quiches, cereal and all-you-can drink starbucks tied me over just fine!! I received a $25 voucher to the restaurant as well, so my friend and I shared the meat board and also had the macaroni and cheese. The platter wasn't great, but the mac n cheese was delicious. We also tried the cocktails which were very good, a bit pricey though. The location can't be beat either. I mean, shopping, cable car lines, buses, restaurants, you name it, it's there. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
No double bed rooms. But the beds were so amazing it didn't matter.
Expensive. Rooms a bit small. The description in booking.com does not fully match the services. For instance there were no dressing gowns or starbucks coffee in the rooms
Welcoming staff, clean and comfortable room, good food, and warm jazz.
Staff are highly restricted to rules and can give you a hard time. They are nice but will not will to help if it isn't in the rules.
If you would like to stay in the middle of the shopping district - this is the place! Fisherman's Wharf is just a short bus drive away and the bus stops just outside of the hotel. You have walking distance to the BART (to the airport) and the cable car. The rooms are comfortable and ok size. Renovated and clean. The breakfast buffet is not huge, but it is nice. Outmeal and fruits if you like it healthy or crossaints, pain au chocolate if you like sweet stuff in the morning (or yoghurt, bagels etc).
The elevator is a bit slow.
Friendly helpful staff all round - from the desk, to the bar, to the cleaners. The attached Burritt room is pretty good too, if you aren't in the mood to stray from the hotel.
Wi-Fi reception pretty poor in the rooms. This was even after I was moved to a different room specifically for better reception. It is also a lively area, so if you're here to party that's fine, but it can be noisy at night and in the morning. It's also slightly tricky for taxi / Uber pick-up - you're better just heading to the Starbucks on the corner to grab one.
The location is superb and the all the staff are extremely helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking to stay in Union Square.
Fabulous location in the heart of San Francisco and we loved it. They also did us an extra favour by storing some fish caught in Alaska for a couple of days until we left, so that's going the extra mile!
very small room. It was hard to unpack my bags. Very high price comparing to standard. But this is normal I guess for San Fran.
I enjoyed my stay would have much recommend.
Superb location, delicious free breakfast and comfortable, clean room.
