Location and night life.
Beautiful, updated interiors. Flowers on our bed. BEST location. Great courtyard garden with tiki bar.
No TV, A/C ... but we knew these things ahead of time.
The hotel has an excellent location in the heart of Paia, very good restaurants are just around the corner. You can easily access the best surfing places. The room is tiny, but the bed was very comfortable. For 2-3 days it is OK, but mainly designed for surfers and young people.
We missed a kitchen area and some basic facilities in the room - like microwave, water heater, cabinet, table - the room space could have been better used. The hotel has very limited parking lots (6 spots), so you need to get back early every day to be able to park around the hotel.
The barbeque, the refrigerator, the room
The wifi was slow, the shower leaked, parking sucked
We booked this accommodation as one of us had already stayed there. Position is optimal to start the Road to Hana or the Haleakala excursion at sunrise
We found a lizard in the room No staff was there for the check-in. We had to realize the room written on the whiteboard was open, and the keys were inside. Nobody at check out either... Nobody answering at the phone number specified... I found this odd...
Nice clean room and a nice little garden. Lives up to the expectation.
Paia in itself was a bit boring. This place does hold any reception. Not much help, but most information is in writing in the room.
Hot, small, dirty and noisy. The only One place in Us without air conditioned. The room is on the Road (you can feel every person passing by car, cycle or foot) . No reception except 2 big spiders inside the room.
The staff are amazing, really friendly and so incredibly helpful - they go out of their way to make your stay as smooth sailing as possible. Rooms are well appointed, neat and tidy, and very clean. Location is really close to an epic health food supermarket.
There is no door to the bathroom and toilet, just a thin curtain. Be prepared to get to know your travelling companion MUCH more closely! :) We were on the ground floor - the sprinklers are really loud and come on quite early - the walls are quite thin so this was a bit disruptive.
I loved the location and the rooms. Thank you!
Friendly helpful manager Liam. Kudos !
Parking sucks. Alley driveway location with two parking places at entry and two spaces in alley. Was asked to vacate parking space after first night stay. Seems to be a hostel environment. After booking a stay we were given instruction that no maid service, remove your own rubbish,no sound abatement in wall construction, (other guests did not observe quiet hours) therefore no refunds for that reason. Stains on bedding would be charged to our credit card if incurred. All this info after booking & arrival, no mention at booking web page. We left with the impression that it was a high priced hostel & will not return.
Easy and quick to check in but our room number had been changed which took a while to work out eventually finding it on a board late at night. Nice room. Nice BBQ area and lounge and garden. The waterfall was good to block out the traffic but some classic Hawaiian music would be nice for more atmosphere.
No welcome or greeting or offer to help with things or suggestions for our trip. Someone just said hello on the second day. We're friendly people and tried to say goodbye three times as we left but no attention was paid. The gas station and store staff luckily were warm and helpful. Just would be nice to feel more welcomed especially when you've just travelled to the other side of the world for 29 hours and are on foreign territory!
There was a parking spot for our car - key in crowded Paia. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. It was very clean and fresh. The outdoor space is great and a water feature blocks any nearby street noise. You're very close to the beach and downtown and can walk everywhere.
Location in the center of delightful town. Close to surfers. Excellent shower. On road to Hana, great place to pick up a picnic lunch for trip.
Convenience of being in the center of town.
Parking Needed another chair in room Poor light for reading
This is our second time stayin here. We love the location and the value.
Great location, quite, cute. Very good for the money if you want a place to sleep and leave in the day time because rooms are small. I would stay again
Not a place IF you want to prep any food in your room. had a small frig, but no tea pot or coffee pots, etc
Nice, clean little room 2 minutes walk from beach Convenient for short stay in our way to visit Haleakala Crater and Hana
No air conditionning Weather hot during the day, beareble at night
