I spent the majority of the blizzard season of 2015 at this hotel. Staff was more than accomodating, snow removal (abundant!) was exemplary. Room was clean and comfortable.
Was asked multiple times if I smoked or if anyone in my party smoked and was told of the cleanliness policies as I am younger and felt un trusted by the staff
Location would be great in the summer months
Initial room was cold, moved to 2nd room. Host told us 60 degrees was warm enough. Not too many restaurant choices in winter. Bathroom was very small with no tub.
Walking along the water for exercise was great alittle cold and windy due to the te of year but worth it. Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Will go back again
The location of the hotel, while not on the beach is very close. This was winter, so we didn't come for the beach. For those thinking this is beachfront it's important to know that it a few blocks from the beach. The room was spacious and very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The value (compared to other hotels/motels on the South Shore) was excellent.
There is not much soundproofing between the rooms or from the traffic outside. The adjacent room to us kept the television on all night - and it did keep us awake. The motel sits at a busy intersection and traffic noise was also disruptive. Take ear plugs - you might need them.
clean, coffee, fruit and muffin in morning,
-no blinds - curtains did not completely obscure the window. -when we arrived the back door was opened and the TV was on, I thought that someone might have been in there prior to us arriving but it is their policy to do this.
Lovely experience! The rooms were comfortable and the fireplace in each room is such a nice touch.
THe beds were fantastic, room was very large and clean. The complimentary snacks were very much appreciated after a late night out.
Room was smartly appointed, fresh & clean. Very pleasant surprise.
Clean and very nice place
Bed frame kill your leg
curtains needed for privacy are too narrow to fully cover the window, hence one is constantly worried about public exposure to guests passing by. limited available channels on cable coffee not repleaced when cleaning room
Rooms were large and location of hotel was great.
The fact that the buildings are constructed of wood framing means that sounds easily travel between the walls and floors. We could easily hear noise from the adjacent room and the room above us. On the first night we stayed in our room the TV in the unit next door was on all night. Very negative.
The interior of the property is much nicer than the exterior. The rooms were newly remodeled, spacious and clean.
Having to pay for the room in full in advance when the room was booked.
Room was quite big and with coffee machine.
There is nothing to do in hotel except than to sleep
That the beach is right across the beach.
No swimming pool....
good overall. recommend.
no direct bus route from boston
Large clean & comfy rooms with a beachy theme. Nice people, muffins, tea & coffee in the morning and right in front of the beach. If you are like us and thought hotels in the Boston centre area are way to expensive, consider this place as you can easily drive to the ferry in Hingham (10 minutes) with regular connections right into the heart of Boston.
Poor customer service. Had to call multiple times for maids that never came. Double charged me. Ants all over bathroom and kitchen area. Water pouring through door as well as down walls. And still charged.
It was clean-bed covers on mattress and NO BED BUGS!! Nice and quiet.
Didn't like the limited and narrow parking. Didn't like that back door was unlocked upon initial inspection. There's a neighborhood literally above a hill behind the hotel and anyone could've walked in the back door. Didnt like that front door didn't close easily. We had to practically slam it shut in order to lock. Other than that it was okay considering we inadvertently booked the incorrect "nantasket" hotel.
There was no fridge.
We loved the very soft towels, the kitchenette, and the peppermint patties!
Getting lost trying to find the place. All buildings in the area should be marked clearly with their address number.
The rooms size was large and very comfortable. Taking the ferry into Boston was so much better then driving in -thanx had a great adventure -love the blue berry muffins for breakfast.
i loved the house and the staff ,location was perfect
with 65 mile per hour winds and rain it seemed that not all windows had bee properly closed so we had water/rain coming in from some of windows Staff came and resolved the issue and offered me a 10% discount for my next booking which will be in the summer
