It was a delightful home away from home. The innkeeper, Jean Ellen, made us feel welcomed and explained the rules of the 1830 Inn and kept us organized. She and her husband have been running the 15 guest room Inn for 30 years.
We had our own 1 room cottage with separate entrance with a common large terrace set up with tables where we spent a lot of time. The air-conditioned room, although small, was very efficient with mini refrigerator, kureig coffee maker with coffee shots, TV, couch, plus iron and small ironing board. The inn is about a 8 to 10 minute walk to town, restaurants and Children's and Brant Point Beaches. Taxis are another option and usually come within 10 minutes. All Points Taxi company gave us a $2 senior discount so the cost to town was $6. Ask for it if a senior!
I looked forward to their breakfast every morning which was wonderful with lots of fruit and juices, coffee, muffins, toast and jams and homemade oatmeal!
On the front porch, there was a refrigerator with ice tea in it, a full ice bucket, glasses and a microwave for everyone's use.
They thought of it all, including beach chairs and towels to borrow and return. A great cozy place to stay!
