It was like staying at someones home. A truly lovely place and quite comfortable. Easy walk back and forth to town.
The inn was beautiful, well appointed and very cozy. Coffee, tea, snacks and such were available all day and the breakfast was fantastic with plenty of fresh fruit. We especially enjoyed the discussions with the owners.
Nothing to not like.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Walking distance to everything. Didn't have to get a rental car.
We had a wonderful stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast, investing people to meet. We hope to go back again.
Had a wonderful time at Century House. Very nice B&B!
Toilet was small , but it is a "century" house :)
Location was good. Cleaning staff was excellent.
Small attic room, poor breakfast selections, luke warm coffee, no off street parking.
not flexible. My business plans changed and I asked before check in if she would work with me and she said no. I travel to Nantucket very often for business and won't stay here again.
Highlights of this perfect spot were the wonderfully warm and extremely helpful innkeepers, the fabulous location in the heart of town, warm chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon and delicious breakfast buffet complete with fresh berries, yogurt, granola, homemade oatmeal and muffins.
Friendly inn keeper Great outdoor amenities Range of snacks and refreshments available Great breakfast, friendly communal dining
Third floor rooms in roof line meant restricted head access, consistent with era of inn Third floor rooms accessed by two flights of steep narrow stairs may be an issue for some travellers
We enjoyed the breakfast experience, which not only included a nice spread of breads, yogurt, fruits, and oatmeal, but also lively conversation from our hostess, JeanE. Our room, the Black Orchid, had a pleasant private stretch of porch for when we did want to be alone.
For those that want "la grasse matinee," the drapes did not keep the morning light very well. But, then, there is plenty to get up early and see in Nantucket.
The inn-keeper was friendly, but a little bit too involved. We were looking for an anonymous existence.
very nice comfortable clean and a great location. Great owners They make you feel very special
Very familiar and friendly receive. Near to the center. Very helpful " helicopter mother " Good breakfast.
About 6 minute walk to town, warm cookies in the afternoon, refreshments available all day, the rocking chairs on the patio, very pleasant inn keepers, staff very friendly
Wi-fi is unpredictable, booked online and rate for 4 nights was $2,700. Seemed a bit high, but perhaps not for that area.
location very, good, staff excellent , breakfast very good, clean .
3rd floor ok if you are 40yrs or younger ,very steep when you are carrying travel bags must pay allot of attention all the time ,if you have a room with eves this is an issue as the room is not square and you will bump your head all the time getting in and out of bed .we will ask for the 1st or 2nd floor on our next trip,
Everything! Great stay at the century house. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be back!
King Room on First Floor was perfect.!
JeanE, the hostess is charm personified. She gives you the warmest of welcomes and is on hand to tell you everything you need to know about the island. Century House is no distance from town and a perfect refuge, full of antiques and the comforts of home!
The location is great. Center of town is a leisurely walk and picturesque. Staff was quite hospitable. Children loved the afternoon cookies!! There was plenty of seating on surrounding porches to enjoy the view and relax. We had the two bedroom suite on the second floor and it was comfortable for us and our 2 preteens.
One thing that we did not care for was the window air conditioners. Also, the children's bathroom, had no window for ventilation and became quite warm because the doors were to be kept closed so not to trigger the fire alarms.
Great location Friendly proprietor Nice appointments Excellent bedding Nice breakfast with lots of fresh fruit and great coffee Snacks, coffee, ice water always available
Accommodations were nice and it was a quiet place to relax.
Room and bathroom were a bit small but adequate.
The warm welcome from Jean and Gerry. Breakfast in the morning was great - lots of food and lots of good company and conversation. The location was excellent because you could walk into town and walk to the beaches. The room was comfortable. We even had a little balcony to sit out on and read. Would stay there again.
The cosy ambiance and the funny owner.
You can't smoke weed inside
I liked the location and porch. Loved playing cards and sitting on the porch. so relaxing. Located near everything we needed to see.
The room we stayed in was small and was not advertised to meet the actual description. Home cooked breakfast would have been a nice touch but the fruit and muffins were nice. Ran out of oatmeal quickly.
We loved the warmth, friendliness and ease of the owners interactions with guests. The location to town was walkable and an opportunity to see the beautiful homes. Other guests included several artists who we're exhibiting in town - fun to see their work at the art gallery.
