Perfect location, very comfortable with the nicest people . . .
Room much too warm . Staff accommodated by lowering a hit but too hot. Mirror was on the floor by the bathroom for two days. Needed to be hung on wall.
Staff is wonderfully attentive; rooms are spotless each day; delicious continental breakfast each morning; location, location, location.
Enjoy the historical and architectural nature of the island which prompted our first visit years ago. JCH was then decorated in a more purist manner befitting the era with appropriate furnishings and fabrics. The current environment is a minor nod to the past with standard issue hotel furnishings/fabrics amongst a few antiques which are in poor condition. Public areas need a thorough cleaning, from the chandeliers on down-this is the public's 1st impression upon entering.
Inviting down comforter on the bed. Easy access to walk anywhere in town for dining ,shopping and entertainment. Staff couldn't have been more accomodating. Sitting area at the end of the hallway was perfect for relaxing with the group without having to be in your room, great way to meet other guest.
Stay was too short!
The staff was extremely helpful and courteous, always available to help in every way making it very easy for us. Excellent recommendations and making reservations for restaurants, shops and places to visit. We didn't have to worry about anything thanks to them! Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Can't say enough and because of them we're likely to visit the Isle again. Rick and Patty
Both of our rooms had an odd smell. But it was still a great place to stay.
Comfortable, grt location, bkft was gd.
We were on first flr in adjacent building so noisy. Bathroom are a bit dated but clean.
Water pressure was horrible!!!!!
beautiful rooms in Nantucket tradition, great location, friendly staff
Not a thing.
The property's location is perfect. The staff was pleasant, accommodating and did a good job. The price was affordable.
The property needs some work. I had a small wedding reception there 25 years ago and today it is not the same physically. The restaurant is lovely and the outdoor dining is comfortable. The food was good. My husband and I stayed recently at the White Elephant. We have also stayed at the Summer House (charming) and the Wauwinet (luxury). It has been awhile. But I really think that the aesthetics and the charm could be added back to the Jarred Coffin House.
Beautiful house and location. Q
They put us ( a plus 70 couple ) on the back of 3 rd floor. Walk up. It was hard on knees and old bodies.
facilities , quality of the food, Friendly and polite servic
Very early checkout
Staff and location was great!
My mother and I had never been to Nantucket before. The Jared Coffin House was the perfect place to stay for our first visit to the island! The staff were helpful and kind. Our room was small, but beautifully decorated and it offered everything we needed. The location doesn't get any better than the JCH. It was a quick walk from the ferry, so getting anywhere was a breeze. We will definitely be back!
Staff were all very attentive and welcoming
Room on restaurant side somewhat noisy. Had to run A/C to drown out noise. Front desk attendent, hard to understand.
Friendly staff Great location Good value for Nantucket
The location was excellent and the staff were helpful.
We were given what must have been the smallest room in the hotel. The walls were paper thin, and it seemed that the couple in the next room were actually in our room. We could not sleep until their TV was turned off. (After midnight) and they had finished talking and washing. A disappointing experience .
The history, the breakfast.
No fan in the bathroom, no blinds or shades on the windows.
Location & service. Complimentary bottle of wine for our 3oth anniversary was a very nice touch!!
Room was small and the bed had to be against the wall so you could not get out without climbing over the other person. It was very noisy at night, although we found out there was some conference there with some very loud people.
Short walk from the high speed ferry and right near all of the local shops. The staff was super nice and very helpful in making our stay enjoyable.
This is an old building so be prepared for stairs and few quirky charms that come from a very old building.
The location to restaurants and shopping was perfect.
The room that was reserved for the very mature couple that traveled with us was so small. One side of the full size bed was against the wall so the only way out would have been over the spouse. They were given an upgrade for a price!!! I felt responsible because I made the booking...I was disappointed and embarrassed.
Great location and friendly, helpful staff. They provided a pack and play for our baby which was very helpful.
Outdated decor, uncomfortable beds, older building so it's a bit noisy.
Our room was lovely and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The location is great, I wonder if it might be noisy in the heart of the summer but in Sept it was peaceful. I would certainly stay here again.
