WiFi was slow and erratic.
nothing to dislike . It's not a five star hote but it's cleaning, the staff is nice , location is perfect .the price is more than fair especially for its location.
being literally 2 mins away from the beach!
There were only a few things that I didn't like about staying here. The decor is from the 80's so that was less pleasing to the eye. But my main dislike was that the bed's were too soft and rather uncomfortable.
What I liked most about The Napoli Balmar Resort was that it is two blocks from the beach and that the room rate was a fair price. I also found the hotel to be very quite, which was nice. The majority of the motel patrons were probably in their early 70's so they weren't hanging out very late. It was always nice and quite by the time I came home. Also, the bathroom was very clean and smelled like bleach when I walked in the door. This motel is definitely nice for the price.
Nice, small hotel, perfect location near thebeach, very friendly armosphere. Very nice studios.
I was not crazy about the bed in that is was a bit hard and I felt pressure points throughout the night.. tossed and turned. As one who travels for a living, I also didn't care for how crowded the room was with the dining table pushed right next to the bed. The room was sparse, but clean.
I liked the price of the standard room and the staff, who were all really friendly and accommodating in every way.. The room had a galley kitchen w/ a full-sized refrigerator, a range, microwave, & sink.. all nice if one were to stay for several days.
Great staff, extremely clean.
The location is great, room size was perfect for us plenty of space
Super friendly staff!!! Will definitely stay here again!!!
The owner was helpful and friendly. The housekeeping staff did a great job. The room was in good order (and clean). The front pool being heated was an added bonus in December. All in all I loved this place and will definitely return!
Older hotel but with lots of charm...location is a 5 minute walk to beach...which is great...peaceful hotel where you can still relax....but close to all the main attractions.... This was our first trip to ft. Lauderdale....so this was a great experience.... We will stay here our next trip...also....has 2 pools...one is heated...
The Wi-Fi was a little slow, but workable.
I liked everything. It was a every clean hotel, well run with a friendly staff. The location was great too. Excellent value.
Old rooms, loud AC's, they don't provide any hotel amenities
Friendly staff, clean, great location very close to the beach
Very loud A/C - bring good ear plugs with you!
Location: beach is one block away Fast WiFi
Staff. And location
The black and white color motif of the exterior is rather funeral and un-stylish. There's a bit of retro/ vintage vibe but not much. Some noise from neighbors and loud a/c window unit (When will the U.S. catch up with Japanese technology which manufactures silent a/c wall units?) Not as lushly landscaped as many of the other places.
Casual but friendly owner. Most guests were considerate to speak quietly and not slam doors. The location is a beach and nature get away in the middle of all south Florida urbanism has to offer (Neiman Marcus and more shopping, Las Olas cafes, LBGT and friends Sunday cocktails by the pool across the street at Royal Palm, etc., etc.) A down to earth and retro vibe. Mid-September was off peak season so rates were good. It was already cool enough at night to enjoy the ocean breezes. Loved sitting by the pool late night with drinks and watching the moon and the pistachio-green vintage neon sign of the Birch Tower condo across the street. Small kitchen included and well stocked; kitchen table; couch; plenty of clean towels and soap.
Our bathroom was not the cleanest and if you walked on the floor barefoot your feet would have black soles, but this is Sri Lanka budget beach hotel.
Within walking distance to many shops, cafés and the beach. Staff was great to bring an extra bed up to the room for our 4 year old twins to sleep on.
The lady who owned the Resort was going out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Excellent service.
Loved this place. We could have stayed here for many more days. The rooms were big, the kitchen was great. Very close to the beach. The ladies were so kind. Love to come back here.
From the outside, could only lock door with a key in a deadbolt. Knob did not lock. Inside there was also a throw bolt type of lock, which is not a very secure type of lock.
Low-key. To some, this may be a draw-back, but for us it was what we were looking for: close to the beach, outdoor swimming pools, quiet in the evening. Coffee maker, full-size refrigerator and microwave. Even a single-burner hot plate if you wanted to cook. Fairly well-stocked with kitchen necessities (except paper towels or napkins).
Staff was responsive...Location was perfect..2 blocks from the beach...Better than being on the beach...no traffic.....Quiet
I was traveling solo but if I was with a fussy girlfriend she may not appreciate the somewhat sterile condo(concrete walls painted white with tile floor throughout) with bed at entrance.
Very good location, 3/4 mile walk to central beach/bars/restaurants but only 300 yards to beach nearest hotel. Very clean, great staff. Unusual floor plan with with queen size bed in main living area. Kitchen was functional but could upgrade utensils/knives/glassware. Beach chair/umbrella/beach towel provided. Overall very enjoyable accommodations and will stay there on next visit.
Have nothing negative to say
I had a great experience, staff was nice, the location is great and rooms are clean and comfortable !
Noisy, You can hear everything from other rooms.Dirty Room Floor and Remote controls. Very tacky Comforts
Location Pools Big Rooms Microwave Fridge silverware
The walls were a little thin.
4 private pools, the grilling area, the staff were very helpful, and the proximity to the beach was great.
Ft. Lauderdale is expensive. This was a wonderful family oasis just two short blocks off the best of the beach. Loved having light meals in our efficiency. Very clean!
