The owners Paul and Jane are wonderful. Very hospitable, helpful, and knowledgeable about the Vineyard. I would highly recommend the Narragansett House. I can't wait to go back! I miss Paul and Jane already!!!
Jane the innkeeper was gracious and helpful at every turn. This location is an easy walk to the beach, marina and downtown as well as the ferry!!!
You can walk to everything within 10 minutes
No ac in the rooms
The location was excellent, very closr to beach, ferry, shops. we could walk anywere we needed in town. Parking was an unexpected bouns. The owners were awesome, friendly and helpful. We will be making reservations for next year.
Beautiful room Small but not too small Great price Great Staff Nice morning breakfast Beautiful location
Owners very friendly and kind.
No a/c only fans.
We had a beautiful and nicely renovated room in the second house across the street. Nice porch. Beautiful wildflower garden. Owner was very nice. Near everything in Oak Bluffs.
WiFi did not work in the room- they said they knew about it but hadnt fixed it. Overhead fan didnt work right- loud and dangerous sounding. AC unit was also not working well. Some non renovated rooms across the street looked small and not as clean.
Location, cleanliness, comfort, staff, other travelers we met.
location was excellent.
Room was not cleaned one day, and no apology was given. Had to ask for and get our own towels, had to chang the garbage outselves using our own plastic bag. No closets in room at all. When leaving, a host/hostess should ALWAYS thank their guests for coming and ask if everything was to their satisfaction. Customer service is key. Continental breakfast was a coffee cake, muffins and regular coffee. No decaf, no fruit or yogurt. If breakfast is advertised as included it should be a little more substantial.
The hospitality was great. The place was beautiful, clean and very cozy. Close to everything. They had coffee, tea, orange juice and muffins every morning.
Alittle pricey. I think for the price there should have been a full breakfast included.
The location was excellent - you could walk to the downtown area, the beach and take in the town of Oak Bluffs.
We were encouraged to find our own sites and found the hospitality lacking. The experience was closer to a hotel than the B&B we thought we were buying into.
Loved the location, cleanliness and excellent hospitality. When staying in the Oak Bluffs area of Marthas Vineyard this would be my #1 choice. For a room tip, choose the Iriquios cottage.
We loved everything about the Narragansett House. Bed was nice pillows too! Very clean!
More breakfast items such as some muffins or fruit or yogurt
Jane was perhaps the most customer-focused proprietor I've come across. She was polite, accommodating and a pleasure to deal with.
The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating ..the rooms were quainte and clean. It had a nice porch and very close to town.
The only thing I had issue with Was the very small room had no air conditioner ..had to sleep wth the balcony door open ..they should at least have some sort of screen ..or fan. Also the price of the very small room could have been more reasonable ..
Jane was such a huge help with recommendations on restaurants, places to see and things to do. She was so wonderful and cares about her guests so much!
Iloved everything and definitely I'll be back to this wonderful opportunity to be there many times. Thx
It was the best location in Oak Bluffs. It was great to walk around the corner to the beach or Circuit Avenue or the Ginger Bread Houses in the Campground. Loved sitting out on the wraparound porch with a cup of coffee and a piece of coffee cake in the morning and saying good morning to people walking by. We're from Maine and our state saying is "Maine, the way life should be" but our stay at the Narragansett in Oak Bluffs was the way a vacation should be.
It was all lovely.
Everything, except noted below.
Lack of air conditioning on two of our seven days when the temperature was high.
Jane the owner was excellent, helpful and always cheerful. The location was fantastic. It was a short walk to the Main Street of Oak Bluffs, the ferry, bus transportation, and the marina. Having breakfast on the porch was also a pleasant treat.
Sweet cottage with all the charm of the Vineyard.
Did not like the Sara Lee muffins for breakfast. Continental breakfast should offer some protein choice such as yogurt or hard boiled eggs for those of us who don't like a lot of carbs.
jane was exceptionally nice and informative. The inn was centrally located from a park, the beach and a nice shopping district with great restaurants.
The room WE CHOSE was on the small side and didn't have much ventiliation. It was very hot that week and we suffered a bit because of the lack of air movement. WHEN we go back, we will plunk down a few more sheckles and get a bigger room
I love the location. It is only a short walk from the ferry and buses as well as all the stores and restaurants. The room is clean and there is even a small tv. There is a place to keep your bikes which we tried out this time. The owner is so friendly and helpful. I would recommend staying here to anyone.
The room is a bit on the small side but we only used it to sleep and shower after the beach which it is perfect for.
We enjoyed meeting Jane and was impressed with the service she offered. Our room was a little cramped, but it looked nice and we enjoyed our stay.
It was difficult to move around the bed, because of the slanted roof
Breakfast was lacking. Some fruit would have been nice.
