The hotel had over all feeling of not being clean. Dishes and glasses were not picked up in a timely manner. Carpets desperately need to be vacuumed. For the price, it is inexcusable that one must pay for internet and breakfast. I have stated at Best Westerns that are cleaner, have friendlier staff, free WIFI and breakfast. Not sure I will stay at another Marriott.
One woman at the front desk was very helpful and moved me to a new room due to lack of cleanliness in first room.

Restaurant service was terrible -- storm was the excuse but I was the only person there! Overpriced and just ok. Bed just ok.
Good location near Vanderbilt. Shuttle service a great perk. Gym facility ok. Clean with very friendly staff.

Prices high/rooms including the food prices in the resturant
All staff extremely helpful with great disposition. One of the double beds very uncomfortable, but the other bed in same room was fine.

Parking cost is to high. 32 to self park and 35 for valet.
Nice bar area with live performance on Saturdays. Nice room with a great location

Supplies in room were not sufficient-no extra toilet paper, very little hand soap. Belhops, valet were very aggressive.

Parking fee for guests. I understand the fee, but could be less if you are staying at the hotel.
The location was perfect. The shuttle to downtown was great! The staff was very attentive and had great suggestions of where to go.

I would expect more amenities and elegance in decor and bathroom for the price. The bathroom was not spotless. It should have been. And I speak of the toilet.
Location and friendliness of the staff.

The barman one night was very disrespectful to my family. Our 26 year old daughter asked for a beer, produced her Id, and was refused as she did not present her passport. When I questioned this he told me he lectured in this subject-all we wanted was a simple beer not lectured at.

COST! NO small refrigerator-I considered this at the comfort level Having to pay to park in their hotel garage 30.00 per day.....Booking.com said I had to pay 26.00 a day which wasn't the case, either way, we shouldn't pay to park on top of room price. $9.95 a day for internet in your room...this should be complimentary..it is in most hotels! Parking and internet is $40.00 a day not including tax on top of some nights at 299.00. WOW, much too expensive! This is the price I paid when I went to Hawaii. This is definitely not Hawaii. I feel like they jack up the prices because they know students have to have a place to stay and the much more affordable hotels which are just as nice..are full.
The staff are wonderful and very attentive. The beds are comfortable and room is clean. The staff made this experience great!!!

Only one elevator in tower 1 was working. Made getting up and down much slower !
Lisa and rest of staff at front desk. Bubba and the other limo drivers. Courteous and very knowledgable. Never said can't or no!

Parking/Coffee. Fee for parking was excessive. City overtime parking ticket is only $11. Valet was $35 and self-park was $30 per day. In my view their charges were excessive. No coffee for guest was provided in the lobby, just a one cup coffee maker in your room. If you wanted coffee then Starbucks had an outlet in the lobby. I'm surprised there wasn't a fee for elevators.
Location across from Centennial Park and abuts the Vanderbilt campus.

-No safe in room -Valet & front staff knew almost no directions to major attractions -The bathroom floor was "sticky" -Executive lounge closed on Friday nights and all weekend -Valet parking (and self parking!) about $10-$15 too expensive ($35 per night for valet and $30/night self??) -Shuttle system is ineffective and not predictable (it was down for repairs the one morning I needed it, and no notification to guests given ahead of time making me late for my appt.). Maybe a second shuttle/alternate shuttle would be in order? -Overall this hotel was a good 3 Star, not a 4 Star hotel. Marriott needs to beef up the above or this hotel will not continue. Save yourself time and money and stay right down the street at the Courtyard or another hotel like Hampton Inn or Homewood Suites.
Location was good near lots of restaurants and attractions including Vanderbilt and Music Row. Having a Starbucks, a deli and fitness/indoor pool onsite was good. Nice also to have a restaurant on property. Quiet hotel overall.

My son and I booked a room with two doubles or queen size beds, but we were put into a small room with a king size bed and given a very uncomfortable roll away. The thermostat wasn't working right so the room was hot and stuffy. All in all we were not comfortable the whole time we were there.
