food not good esp the steak!
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly - nothing was a problem. It was excellent in that it was inside UConnn campus.
The beds were really hard.
Aging structure, doesn't get enough attention. This is a mediocre hotel that would not survive anywhere else, but has a monopoly on visitors to UConn.
Very good location, comfort room, good kitchen, kind and assisting staff, reasonable price.
I have never eaten in the restaurant without some kind of issue with the meal. Usually it is missing items or substitutions that aren't delivered correctly. Four of us had breakfast on Saturday morning and the orders were messed up and incomplete. The server only appeared in the dining room twice over the course of 45 minutes. We had to send for him. This make the 10 or 11th time that I have had this happen.
great bar and resturant for lunch or dinner
air conditioning was so loud. needs to be upgraded.
Nathan Hale Inn is needs a redo on the inside. Rooms are outdated, halls are musty smelling, the bathrooms are gross. My shower ceiling had mold on it. The bed were like a brick to sleep on.
Proximity to UConn. (It is on campus.) Comfortable & attractive room. Very clean. Friendly & helpful staff at front desk and restaurant.
Maid trying to open my door early (9 am), when I was trying to catch up on sleep. At least knock instead of rattling the door like someone was trying to break in!
Location, close proximity to downtown area, shopping, etc
Rooms need updating
I like the fact that I do not have to travel back and forth from other local towns to be with my daughter who is a student at UConn.
Having to pay for parking.
The location was perfect and the staff were very helpful. The bar had great food and fun drinks.
A little bit pricey but worth it if you have a student who attends UConn.
Convenient for visiting UConn student
staff and proximity to campus
Convince and location
Shower was a joke. No pressure not got and even when fixed was still terrible. When ordering two hard boiled eggs it took 45 min really? You need to have a quick grab and go breakfast available that us quick and healthy.
Convenient location; Good meal at the on-site restaurant; Courteous staff
The staff was friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. We would stay there again, because when notified staff about a couple of problems in the room, they adjusted our bill.
The plug in the bathroom didn't work, so the hairdryer, which couldn't be moved to another spot, wasn't usable. The toilet was very slow, and housekeeping sent someone to fix it, but it didn't solve the problem.
Coincidentally, I was staying over on Halloween night. The location of the room was on the quiet side of the hotel.
The service in the restaurant was very slow. All the pillows were extremely firm, you may want to provide medium and firm. The morning of check-out, the room service insisted on entering the room though I asked twice that return later and the third time I firmly insisted.
Easy access to the University as my daughter was going to UCONN for a year.
Expensive and no discount offered. No taxi service locally had to wait an hour for one. Some staff were not helpful when asked for support to get my daughters suitcases to her accommodation at the University.
It is within the University of Connecticut campus which was very handy for us. The in room dining was excellent and reasonable.
Reception staff were very casual and a bit more friendly service would have gone a long way.
Beds were very comfortable. Nice location.
Breakfast menu very limited. In-room coffee set up could be better (considering the price for a room). Bathroom didn't close correctly. Hotel desk did not have information on local area--did not have maps of the local area besides the campus. The price is too high for what you get. The pool room, for instance, looks like it could use some upkeep-- there was rust and needed painting.
Location and sports bar. The size and comfort of beds. The size of the room. Fast wifi.
No shower pressure, found the Aircon a little loud. Decor could be upgraded. No international plug outlets. Could maybe install a USB charging station in room?
