The location was great, right across the street from the beach.
We were only in town for one night and no one else had a vacancy because of the air show in town. Our room had pieces of candy in the floor and the previous guest's night gown in the bathroom. There was water standing in the stairwell, a 2 inch long roach on the hand rail and black mold growing on the wall beside the vending machine. I'm not sure how this place is still in business.
When I showed up on Saturday to check in I was informed that they were closing for the season on the following day and had moved me to their sister hotel, which was a lot nicer. But that hotel was 26 blocks from the Neptune location which didn't allow walking to stores and restaurants. It didn't allow smoking even on the balconys. They should have notified people of this before they showed up so they could make additional arrangements if they wanted to.
Good location across from Neptune Statue. A little run down, but not to bad.
Only mildly warm water available.
I liked the location. The staff at the front desk were helpful. I would like to discuss my visit with the manager. Robin Farris 540-448-1954
The steps had wAyer all way up them. The elevators were slow and dirty! The building has roaches. The floors/carpets need cleaning. We had one set of towels in the room for a two night stay. The service was awful and there was no wifi. The telephone in the room didn't work yet it had a blinking message. It's really sad cause though the building is old it can still be nicer if it's given a little tlc.
Location is great. The rooms aren't great, but they're half the cost of the major chains across the street.
The bathroom was very small.
The location was good for our money. The staff was friendly, the view was good, and the linens were clean.
The elevater was small, stinky, and very bumpy! The shower drain didn't work well and the shower curtain was too long so "stuff" was coming off the bottom and floating in the standing water. There were a lot of cob webs between the wall and the ac unit. Would we stay there again? Not if we had another choice.
Front desk was friendly. Location great!
Room was nasty. Hair and crumbs in drawers. Torn furniture. Carpet didn't look like it had been vacuumed. Everything needs to be replaced. Had to ask for coffee (to go with the pot) at the desk. Breakfast bad...didn't go after the first morning.
When I first arrived at my room there were no towels of any sort at all already provided.
I liked that all the rooms are ocean view.
The location is quite a bit of a walk to the festivities.
We chose this hotel as it is reasonably priced, has ocean views and is conveniently located across the street from Neptune Park. We have stayed here three times when we came to town for the NAS air show. Breakfast was included, although not mentioned in the posting.
We know this place isn't fancy but just needed a bed for one night. This time however was unacceptable. We were given a room on the second floor directly over the front entrance which was noisy at night. Had we stayed another night we would have asked to be relocated. There was a leak on one of the upper floors and the stairwell was filled with puddles, unfortunate as the single elevator is small, squeaky, and grimy from beachgoers. The freezer in the mini-fridge was a solid block of ice. The shower tile grout was pink with mold. The furnishings and linens were very old and unattractive. Orange industrial extension cords were used throughout the room for the lamps. The TV was CRT and there was no microwave, which we knew, and regretted. Our trip has become an annual tradition, but we are over the Neptune Park Inn.
Friendly staff. Good location.
The bathroom was dirty with mold on the tile. Toilet smelled. Would not take a chance of walking barefoot in the room. Only one elevator (which was crowed) wanted to take the stairway, but it was flooded.
Great location, staff was very friendly, continental breakfast was good, definitely a decent value for the price. I would stay here again for a short visit. Easy beach access and a great view from room balcony made it easier to overlook any small issues.
The room was not the cleanest (don't look behind the furniture!) and the in-room refrigerator did not work.
wasnt facing the ocean for an oceanview. Would had love to been directly on the beach. Also a fridge and microwave would had been nice in the room....
Breakfast easy walk to beach Friendly staff
A couple of days our room got skipped for cleaning we had to wait for towels. And our room keys kept losing their and we would have to go to office to re scan
location was great within walking distance of boardwalk, but listing needs changed, misleading to first timers that the ocean was not just out the door. Staff were nice.
Last weekend it was open, but didn't know that when reservations made. Pool closed on Sat. which was suppose to be open til Sunday. bathroom was small, like my camper. Trash laying in back hallway & operational doors were open to public.
We got a bigger room on the end. Plenty of drawers. Nice view of ocean. Close to elevator and ice. Staff at front desk was very nice!
Elevator was hot and stuffy.
we felt very at home and close to the beach. we really enjoyed our stay.
Had to wait 20 minutes for someone to show up at front desk to check-in. Lobby, hallways and elevators were dirty and smelled. Then got a call, while we were at Busch Gardens, saying we needed to go back to hotel because they were shutting down for maintenance, and needed us to get our stuff out of room. So they had to transfer us to another hotel. Should have stuck with my original choice of hotel, instead of going by the hotels page.
We loved the view!
Nothing at all walked away from the place the minute i arived.
Dont rent any rooms theres it's totally false advertising in every sense
That it was across from the beach.
The room was run down for the price we paid and there was problems in both rooms, the beds were like sleeping on rocks not comfortable at all. Head boards were falling off the wall. Not very pleasing to the eyes the rooms looked again run down.
I thought my whole stay was great ! I was very happy with this hotel. The reviews i read before going were wrong! They had a great simple healthy breakfast, room was prefect and the staff were nice! Staff asked if I needed anything EVERYDAY!
It did have a musky smell in the stairway, the elevator was kind of scary, and the pool closes at 10. Wish the pool stayed open longer!
