After many days and countless complains and troubleshooting sessions they finally confirmed that there was no wifi on ninth floor. Before that they said that router was restarted, tech guys came to repair etc etc
The room was tiny but clean. The bathroom was very nice.
The male clerk was out to lunch. Difficult to find a cab. Neighborhood had little to reccommend it in terms of bars and restaurants.
The staff is really friendly.
The insulation isn't that good. I could hear the train 2 blocks away. Bathtub was clogged. It was very uncomfortable to have to stop showering every 30 seconds to let water drain.
Cleanliness Proximity to subway - close to several metro lines. Excellent access to both Manhattan and JFK.
The room had a bad smell which was also coming from the air conditioning. We tried to open the balcony door but it shuts back on itself.
Staff friendly, room small, but fine. Bathroom fairly modern and clean. Nice balcony (view so-so). Breakfast was limited but fine for us: Tang, coffee, cereal, fresh fruit (apples, bananas), English muffins, bagels, assorted pastry. Subway station a short stroll down the street and Manhattan, two train stops away.
Air conditioning worked well, but had a definite musty smell; would not want to walk to hotel at night alone from subway; WIFI nonexistent for any business or private purpose;
3Min from the metro station big rooms and very clean
Essential breakfast and the Hall reception its to fast food style
The proximity to the train was good. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly.
There was a smell in the hallways and the hallways were warm and not air conditioned.
Everything was excellent, breakfast and facility, rooms cleanliness, staff, location, price, amenities
could not find anything
Great location - only a couple of blocks from two different subway stations. Only one stop out of Manhattan. Easy access to the 7 train for the US Open. The room was clean with a great view of the Manhattan skyline (I think you have to request a city view room). I'd stay again on my next trip to NYC.
The room was comfortable and clean, but a little small. It was fine for two of us, since we didn't spend much time in our room on the trip.
Beds were a bit short
Rooms are very small but comfortable. Staff was very friendly and we were close to where why we were in Long Island City in the first place.
The bathroom had an odd smell and the fan didnt work, so we had to keep the window open.
The location, the staff, the helpfulness
Pillows were too hard and got a neck ache... Otherwise all else was great.. :)
Service was awesome. Room was spacious, updated, and clean. Very close to several train stations and only minutes from Manhattan. Will definitely stay at Nesva again.
Rooms are clean and comfortable Close to Manhattan Service is great
Wi-fi is unreliable
The price was good, and the hotel is very close to the subway.
The room was small, with no closets and only a few shelves for clothes. Breakfast was very simple, with few options.
Nesva hotel is located in a clean and quiet neighbourhood, its charm comes from the comfort and cleanliness of the room and the coziness and friendliness of the eating area. It has all your basic needs ... Choice of breakfast includes apples, bananas, yoghurt, muffins, pastries, toasts, coffee, tea, cereals ... variety not comparable to 5 stars hotel but sufficient and nutritious enough to start the day. I had no problem with the Wi fi. Would love to stay there again.
Although we've booked one week, we were lucky enough to pay in advance for one night only, so next day we coukd leave the hotel. The rooms are incredible small although it appears in booking as king size. Must have been a very small king :-) The breakfast ...well it's too much to call it breakfast. Shitty long coffee, few pieces of poor quality bread and some chimical made orange. No cheese, no bacon, no eggs , no nothing. In fact they do not have a kitchen and the so call food is served directly from suppliers big boxes. All of these at an incredible price of 186 usd per night! Just avoid this hotel.
This hotel was in a convenient location to everywhere we wanted to go. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was small but very comfortable, clean and modern! My kids and I loved our stay at Nesva. We felt right at home. The subway was a block away and we traveled all over NYC. The diner on the corner next to the subway entrance had great service, coffee and good inexpensive food. Nesva will the only hotel I use for when traveling to NYC. I'm a very picky person with high standards and Nesva met my standards based on cleanliness, comfort, physical appearance(updated modern rooms) and location. Manhattan hotels will never get my money again!
The bathroom facilities are good.
(1) The nearest subway station is 39th Avenue, which does not have escalator nor elevator. We had to carry the heavy luggages along the staircases. (2) We were staying on the 9th floor (top floor), where the WiFi signal was poor. We had to use the WiFi on the ground floor. (3) The breakfast ends at 9am during weekdays, which is a bit too early for travellers.
The hotel is located very close to the subway system (39 Ave and Queens Plaza) and within 15 minutes you are in the heart of NYC. The roof top is accessible and the view towards the city is fantastic. All in all a good choice and alternative to avoid the much higher cost downtown but still being close to everything.
We arrived late to Hotel the airline lost are luggage the staff was so helpful and professional
The Nesva is an excellent choice - cannot recommend highly enough. 2 minute walk to train into Manhattan but not noisy at all. Hotel was spotless; Staff were extremely friendly and helpful; room was great and breakfast was a nice selection of items.
Only comment from my wife and daughter was that there was no mirror for doing make-up/hair outside of bathroom - but didn't worry me.
Location - a haven of peace away from hustle and bustle of Manhattan but only a 5min walk to subway station (no noise)and a ten minute ride to time square and you're straight back to it. Room-all the facilities you need including Air Con, comfy bed. Not the biggest of rooms but at the end of the day in NY you only use your room for sleeping The majority of the staff were very helpful. Breakfast - not your NY Deli experience but good enough to QuickStart your day: Coffee, cereal, toast, pastries and fruit.
Wifi - poor signal, didn't operate in our room or breakfast room! Plenty of hotspots in NY though.
The cleaning staff and aesthetics of the room was amazing. Love the deep tub and bathroom decor.
The AC had a funny odor and refrigerator knob was broken and barely working. Wished the room was bigger. The balcony had a view of a yellow cab taxi garage -___-
it's very convenient to go to the hotel by train and the staff is very good. Btw, there is a good brazil restaurant near the hotel.
The first time i went to this hotel, it's very clean. But the second time when i come back and choose it again, the smells of urine hangs in the room, i guess they didn't clean the blanket everyday.
