Score from 100 reviews Good
The lighting over the vanity took way too long to come on to full capacity. The shower was hard to turn on and the water didn't drain very quickly. The lack of a microwave and refrigerator was a definite turn off!
The value was great and the lady on duty was very helpful. She's a people person and it came through everytime I talked with her.
Quite a bit of noise from the road and the room was cold (it was cold outside, not that the A/C needed switching off)
Good location for San Marco and San Antonio
A/C unit noisy. Stair treads from parking lot rusty and potential trip hazard.
Clean. Beds fairly comfy. Breakfast decent. Staff very helpful and friendly.
1st night a roach appeared on nightstand, tried to kill it, no luck. 2nd night, roach got into my glass of wine, threw cup & wine away, got another cup of wine & same thing happened again. Called front desk, they sprayed the nightstand, never offered to give us another room. Upon checking out we weren't even asked if everything was ok last night, did we sleep ok, nothing! Just charged my credit card, thank you & that was it!
Maybe one pillow was a sneak-in. We had 3 nice ones and one dilapidated one, I got that one! Outside stairs need resurfacing for safety.
Breakfast quality was a pleasant surprise. Rooms were clean, clean and just as pictured.
Cramped Spaces- breakfast area, front desk, lobby, all share a space of 6 by 8!
It wasn't what I expected! Breakfast Area made me feel that I was in a matchbox! The room was either too cold, or too hot. Our room was purely for a quick nap, and get out of Dodge...., Quickly!
Coffee pot broke.
The room was comfortable.
Facade needs improvements
Rooms are in much better condition than most of the comparative motels
The lady at the front desk was very nice and accommodating. Super clean! We enjoyed our stay.
Needed microwave mini fridge more handicapped parking
The ease of booking on line. The desk clerk called to check on us to see if everything was ok and to see if we needed anything.
One employee was rude and inconsiderate. If you use a debit card you won't be able to use ANY of your money and 9/10 times when you go to checkout you won't be able to use the 'holding funds'...so be aware and bring cash.
Location was awesome. The room was very nice, neat, and clean. The bed and pillows were really soft, LOVED THAT!
Location - situated adjacent to noisy road and noisy run-down neighborhood. Noise - kept awake by noise from inconsiderate Motel guests partying until past 2:00 am, then woken by dogs barking in run-down property adjacent to Motel at 5:30 am.
ac in room was Poor,no one answered at desk when we called to inform them, room was dirty, facillity is very Noisy, bed was uncomfortable, room was advertised on bookings dot com as having full breakfast, that was false, for 130$$ à night, left little to be désires.
Beds were a bit hard so we all had backaches. The stairs were very rusty so be sure to wear shoes at all times. The breakfast area in the tiny lobby was super crowded. The quality of breakfast items was not worth the fight.
They were conveniently located to Schlitterbahn, Comal, Gristmill. They seemed clean. The wifi was good. The breakfast was better than I thought but not great.
Uncomfortable beds and pillows, poor breakfast and noisy dog kennel next to our room. Very small pool . Way too expensive for the things they provide
it was very reasonable price
I did not like that the room had no refrigerator or microwave. As I have recently had a hip replacement, after lying in the bed for a couple of hours, it became too hard to be comfortable on my hips. But, the most important thing, I think, is that when coming down the stairs, one had to be careful not to trip and fall due to the rested and worn metal edging on the steps. Also, I thought the price of $179 per night was a bit high, but I was willing to pay it (on a holiday weekend) because I really wanted to get away.
I liked the people who handled the check-in/out process and the convenience of the hotel.
I hate that there were people out on the stairways close to the office window where the desk clerk was being very loud and cursing and nothing was done. I didn't feel comfortable
I love the updated look and feel of the room
Super noisy, difficult to sleep because it is so close to the busy road. Quality does not match cost.
The location was close to Schlitterbahn.
Not enough parking.
Very easy to find and easy to get around from there.
Location. Very busy area. Not the hotel's fault but it is hard to get in and out of. The hot tub was great but would be nice if it was actually hot and not lukewarm. Some towels were stained.
The staff was friendly, the beds were quite comfortable for a lower star hotel and the breakfast was decent. The room did appear to be updated; however, the bottom of the bathroom door was filthy and stained and there were small issues like this throughout. It is an older hotel that was updated but a lot of the updates were very rushed. I can't complain because it is a Super 8 and could have been much worse. It is very close to the river and is good if you're looking to stay to enjoy a float or two.
Everything, especially the breakfast
