Great location, great character, and right next to The Ruby Slipper, which has the best breakfast in NOLA.
Nicks in the plaster, loose bathroom fixtures, just a bit worn. Could use a bit of fixing up.
No maid service after first night. Not sufficient heating during cold spell (room temperature not above 68F).
Great staff, great location! The desk staff was awesome! They helped me out with countless things. My wife and I were in town for Halloween and we had a fantastic time. It was close to everything you could need to have a great NOLA experience
The rooms are a little smaller than I expected but it was not really an issue. I would gladly trade a little space for a great location.
Location; close to Canal St, trams & river front
Really poor value for money. We were given a very small room (not enough space to have both suitcases open at the same time) On top of that the room didn't have a window, claustrophobic! More like a solitary confinement cell than a hotel room.
Convenient location. Hotel has lots of beautiful antiques and paintings. Great restaurant next door.
understaffed! When's daughter and I arrived there were 2 parties ahead of us, with only Troy at the desk. He was doing as well as he could under the circumstances, but the hotel will surely lose business if there is only one staff member at the desk doing everything. Troy was very friendly as well as helpful. ;)
I like everything about this hotel. The staff and the location was perfect! So recommend this hotel! I was within walking distance to everything! Love it!
My first visit to New Orleans was a memorable one thanks to The Pelham's lovely front desk coordinator, Troy. Troy helped me book a fabulous swamp tour, pointed me in the direction of the best meals I've ever had in my life and gave invaluable safety advice for navigating New Orleans at night as a solo female traveler. I will undoubtedly come back and looking forward to being a repeat customer at The Pelham.
Next time I will ask for a room with a window. Even though my room did not have one I didn't mind it too much because I was only there for two nights and I was out of the room most of the time exploring the city.
Located next to french quarter, good price. Very clean room, and comfy bed. Front desk staff was great!
Parking in NOLA is expensive!
the hotel was great clean, comfortable and friendly. The staff were always happy to help with tours and where to eat. Was a 10 minute walk to the French quater so a great location.
Troy checked us in and was so friendly and helpful. Great place to stay! We will definitely stay here again. Location can not be beat, Rooms were excellent, so clean and roomy!
Confined tight space, no windows, unsafe, fire hazard, would not be considered occupiable in any other state.
No fridge ,poor tv ,no coffee in room.
Enjoyed the rustic hotel at a good price.
Location was perfect
Parking is high
Comfy bed, classy style building
parking costs was like getting a room for your car.
How friendly the staff was
We loved: The high ceilings, sense of old world glamour and style, the comfy four poster beds, the great staff. It was clean, and SO CLOSE to everything. Just a short walk to take you anywhere. it was also deliciously quiet. Would stay again!
The inside rooms are very dark, only lit by small table lamps - not good if you're short sighted.
Location, room size, Thomas at reception. Ruby slippers cafe next door.
Some staff a bit unprofessional. Loud music through speakers on the pavement as directed by hotel management.
Great location, nice staff, clean and comfortable room. Great coffee in the morning down in the lobby. Offered us a good spot to lock up our bikes inside the hotel. Staff was nice enough to let us store our bags at the hotel on the day of check out so we could enjoy a few extra hours of New Orleans.
No free parking. Staff didn't help us with our bags when we first arrived. There is a restaurant at the corner called The Ruby Slipper. It has great reviews and a crazy crowd of customers waiting outside every morning for breakfast/lunch. We decided to try it out -- don't waste your time. It wasn't that great. Very average.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was fabulous. We loved the location. The room was comfortable and clean. We would stay here again!
We had a corner room and it was a little tight. There was only a small table in the bathroom with a pedestal sink. For our 9 day stay we got a box and turned it on end for another shelf in the bathroom
Great location, couple of blocks to river and one block to French quarter. Also close to street cars and public transport for site seeing. We like our room as a home base, the lobby had a nice sitting area with coffee, there was ice and vending machines.
Our room was small like many city hotels, the king bed took up the whole area and it was very high mattress which could be tough for some to get into.
staff were very nice Free coffee Really comfy bed Ice machine and vending machines Awesome location nice and quite Nice bathrooms Excellent shower gel!!! And had shampoo and conditioner
pillows were very bad (not big fluffy pillow like you would expect) Small ish rooms The toilet was not very secure to the floor Also - oldest TV I have seen in a long long time lol but there was still cable
The staff was very friendly. The room clean and Nothingwas very welcoming and the bed was very comfortable. Easy walking distance to everything and very close to the French Quarter. The Red Slipper was delicious. Would highly recommend to all family & friends. I would come back and stay.
