Convenience to convention center during national Baptist convention.
The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly
I reserved a king suite n my room that I got was two queen beds n no sitting area like I was told. I don't like surprises like that.
No real amenities. I've stayed in nicer holiday inn express type hotels, no make removing wipes in room or any of those things to make your stay nicer. No real hospitality, just a charge for everything, I think they were taking advantage of the fact that it is in new Orleans, not worth it. I had a discounted price that I found online and it was still not worth it. Comforter and carpet both looked unclean. 15.00 WiFi charge, really?? Isn't this business hotel, that should be customary, again taking advantage. No coffee pot, what hotel doesn't have a coffee pot. And 38.00 parking fee, wow. Worth it not to park on a new Orleans street still seems steep. Overall very underwhelming, would not stay again.
Bartender was excellent!
No coffee maker or fridge in the room. Ammenties were all very dated. expected more from a 4 star hotel.
I love the location Room was very clean and smelled very good. All hotels should have linen smell as good. Valet was wonderful and the Hotel restaurant employees especially the cook was excellent.
I did not like it didn't have a refrigerator and microwave. Beds were too small. The value of the room didn't meet my standards. I usually stay in suites for 167.00 a night or higher. Not a double with no enmities .
Very friendly staff and very helpful
It was our first time here and we did not releize how hard it is to find a parking spot and a place within walking distance for breakfast
It was a place to stay for the time we were there. Good location...we can walk anywhere.
Bathroom had hair in tub and floor (ewww). Hand prints on the mirror in the room and bathroom Carpet was not vacuumed. Attitude wasn't pleasant at the check in desk. Upon checking out, it took them 20 minutes to bring the cart to load. I could have gotten it myself. Pillows could have been fluffed. What not worth the money I spent for all this. We ended up at the Ritz Carlton for the remainder of our stay and it was a awesome experience for less amount. Tranquility is what I was looking for at New Orleans Downtown Marriott at the Convention Center and did not receive it.
Had everything we needed & then some. Was close to everything too
We really enjoyed our stay here, everyone was nice, our room was spacious, and it was actually kind of quiet. I expected loud, intoxicated, partying all night; the city was definitely still awake, but we slept peacefully. It was a quick cab ride to and from the quarter, river front shopping just across the street, the casino a block away, and great food just down stairs. I absolutely recommend this hotel.
I was disappointed in the food..steak was charred and pecan pie had refrigerated taste..
Parking too expensive!
beds were very comfortable. location was great. gentleman who loaded our baggage on cart to take to car was a pleasure.
spent over $700 for three nights and my view was a brick wall. person who checked me in was unpleasant. bugs in room with ice machine and drink machine, and trash can was overflowing (not emptied our entire stay) in same room.
Not told in advance about $38 parking charge!!!
The hotel was in a good location and the staff was wonderful.
I can hear people talking through the vent. Didn't like that if we wanted internet we had to pay for it. There was no breakfast, unless you paid for it and the channels on the TV suck. I had always stayed at a hotel with free breakfast exspecially for the amount we had to pay.
The staff was wonderful. From the moment I entered the property, they were professional, friendly and helpful. This includes the valets, front desk, maid service, restaurants and bellhops. My overall experience at the hotel was great. The hotel was very clean and well decorated. It gave me a nice New Orleans experience. It's location next to the convention center makes it a prime venue for any convention taking place there. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone.
The bathrooms were very clean and in good working order, but I'm a stickler for a good shower. I found the water pressure at the shower head to be a little low (this is typical of hotels in general though). Otherwise, I really did not find any problems of note.
Great staff who were completely focused on customers at peak and off peak hours. They were friendly and helpful.....I do need to follow up because I did not see my Marriott number on my receipt.
Convenient to all we wanted to do: French Quarter, World War II Museum, Mississippi River. We also loved the valet parking. Left the car and took a cab or walked where we wanted to go! Did not have to navigate the one way, crowded streets or look for parking! Staff was excellent, room service people were especially wonderful, on-site restaurant was good too!
I can honestly say there is nothing we did not like about this hotel! Will stay here again when we return to NOLA.
Newness of the property
wish hot tub was still there
Great hotel... Nice location and very accessible to attractions. Comfortable beds and clean spacious rooms.
white sheets + staff was very friendly and polite
room was very small and décor was outdated. For $200+ a night, breakfast would have been nice, or bigger room for 3 adults and a child
Clean room . Helpful and friendly staff.
Location was very handy for French Quarter and Canal Streetcars. Very expensive but the Jazz festival was on.
Reception unhelpful and off hand when trying to establish when room would be available. Had to request room to be made up after 4pm. High class prices for low class service!
The beds are very comfortable but for a total of $992. For two nights, it was way too expensive. It was only a double room with nothing special about the room except you can make your own very weak coffee. The pool looked nice, small, but nice to be outside (although not quite the rooftop, it's on the third floor) since the weather was cooler those two days we didn't get to use it.
Very expensive, only close to one convention center, definitely need a taxi both ways to visit french quarter if you go out after business meetings.
free internet access, although I had to go to the lobby to get it.
didn't have towels & even though we requested them, the towels weren't delivered & I had to request again.
