Good,

“ It was just what I wanted. I wanted something different, New Orleans like, old styling. Not a cookie-cutter motel. I was very impressed with the decor. Staff were wonderful. They gave us directions to a place to eat that was great. We were able to walk to Bourbon street. Great place. ”

The decor and traditional atmosphere. Loved the courtyard and pool. Also liked the convenient location of the nearby cemetery, Bourbon and Royal Streets only a few blocks away. The bathroom was a little dated, but nothing that diminished the atmosphere of the place.

Staff extremely friendly, flexible and accomodating. Building has alot of character with French Quasrter feel. Crawfish boil/ chicken dinner provided to guests on Saturday night was exceptional. Continental breakfast was excellent. No elevator to 3rd floor.

Budget.com did not do what I had asked for and did not give the rules of stay in their paperwork. I am disabled. I asked for a ground floor I did not get it.The rickety stairs caused me to fall twice and I am talking to my attorney about appropriate action against you and the hotel, I asked for two room suite and we we charged what the hotel charges $269.00 per night for that suite. Instead we got a 2nd floor with 2 beds banged up against each other in one room-both of us snore and we got no sleep. We decided to leave early because of that and when we asked for a the refund for the unstayed night we were old there was a 4 night minimum. This was not told to us by any brochures or paperwork from you or the hotel until after we had packed up. We want a refund from you of the unstayed night of 269 plus tax and the difference of the cost of 20 per night for room overcharge. We intend to do whatever it takes to get this resolved

The location and easy parking, the crawfish boil on Saturday night during Jazz Fest was great. The hot water was a trickle in my room, both out of the shower and the sink. The bed was way too high. If I were much older I might not have gotten into it easily. Also, the cost of parking was high - and I was up-charged from $25 a day to $35 a day for parking my vehicle there during a "special event". I think that is ridiculous - and sure I know how much I might have had to pay to park if I had driven to Jazz Fest, but it was still a couple miles away. At over $200 a night to stay at your hotel, I think the extra $35 was taking advantage.

The staff went out of their way to help us with everything, fully accommodating to my 80 yo fathers needs, placing us on ground level and loaning us chairs for Jazz fest. We loved the family style party on Sat night of Jazz fest. We met the other guests and had a wonderful time Food was yummy. Super Friendly staff... the only thing that was bothersome, in the bathroom we could have used some sort of shelf or something behind the bathroom door to place toiletries.

Breakfast, helpful house manager Girl at desk when we arrived. Stated, no there is no elevator. Most restaurants are closed cause its Sunday she said. Wanted us to go to the one she gets kick back for I guess. Rooms on main floor really had no windows, only some glass covered,in door. Walk to elevator, through garage was creepy. No space in bathroom to put toiletries

The friendliness and cleanliness. Good access to computer enabled me to keep in contact with friends and other facilities, as my mobile company didn't connect me for use in USA. The continental breakfast was a bit bland, not enough choice. I didn't have hot water everytime I needed it.

I liked that it was not a typical hotel and had a New Orleans feel to it. I liked the pool even thought we did not have the opportunity to use on account of the weather. It was walking friendly to food, fun and the park down the street was lovely. We had a room right next to the street and could not sleep because of the car and truck noise.

Staff, especially Betty, was absolutely amazing! Felt so welcomed and appreciated. Just absolutely great. The hotel itself had so much charm and hearing stories that it might be haunted only added to its appeal. It was a grand hotel. Location was a little frightening at night. It was right on the outskirts so unless I was with a large group, I wouldn't feel comfortable walking at night. But during the day it was ok.

The breakfast was self service and plenty of it, the staff were accommodating and helpful and there was Internet access included. Poorer reception in the room but very strong in the hotel. Slightly noisy pool pumps right outside room and the area was quiet so wouldn't want to walk there alone at night.

The staff was extremely helpful with directions to tours, restaurants and attractions. The room was old but clean and our housekeeper was the sweetest? I believe her name was Yvonne. The hotel is right on the edge of the French Quarter so everything was easily walkable and yet you could get a great night sleep without outside noise. The courtyard was comfortable and nice to rest in with a clean pool. The breakfast was very basic without any healthy choices. There was no cereal or oatmeal, barely any fruit and no hard boiled eggs for a bit of protein. A lot of bread products and waffles, neither of which I eat. No milk. The room was very small. The bed took up most of the space and there was only one mirror so it was hard to get ready in the morning sharing a mirror. A few small ammenites would help like a soap dish for the sink, small lotion bottles along with the shampoo and conditioners, a towel bar by the sink.

My first visit to New Orleans, convenient location, able to find my way around city. Liked feel of the open courtyard even though I did not use pool. The first night, the woman at the desk was spectacular, one of the friendliest, most helpful people! However on checking out I had a terrible experience. The night prior I asked the desk clerk to call me a cab for next morning. She said she did yet cab did not arrive on time. So I asked the male clerk in morning to do so again, but now I was getting nervous after waiting 15 minutes. When I went back in 5 minutes later to check, he had left! He did not have the courtesy to come out to see me and say whether he had called or what happened. Finally another woman came on desk and called and cab came. This was not the anxiety I wanted to experience on my departure. People need to learn to take responsibility and follow through. Perhaps they could take lessons from that first night's clerk.
