Score from 1139 reviews Very good
Experience the excitement of downtown New Orleans at this centrally located hotel.
Score from 422 reviews Good
This historic New Orleans hotel was built in a refurbished bank and still features some of the original vault doors. It is less than a 15-minute walk from the French Quarter.

Only 1 mile from the New Orleans French Quarter, this hotel features an outdoor swimming pool and a whirlpool. Free Wi-Fi is also included.
Score from 181 reviews Wonderful
Location right in the center of it all
100 deposit on all rooms rooms very small breakfast terrible
Good breakfast and all day coffee, tea, hot chocolate
Bed was too high, like on stilts.
Location is close to bourbon st ....very nice staff
It is a old hotel with no updated furnishing and no appliances the shower takes a long time to get hot
It was far enough away from the crowds but close enough to walk to the fun. The hotel was well maintained and the staff was very efficient.
I wish you didn't have to pay to park.
Location was excellent and customer service was excellent.
The room didn't have a refrigerator or a microwave.
Me, my fiancé, and his parents went to New Orleans to visit overnight. I booked the hotel because I was looking for somewhere with a decent location that was safe and clean. The Courtyard Hotel New Orleans exceeded every expectation!!! The staff was amazing and helped us plan our day(where to eat, the popular spots, etc.) The room was extremely spacious, clean, and had amazing charm! The breakfast was satisfactory, and there was 24/7 free coffee and hot cocoa in the lobby!! It was just a few blocks away from Bourbon, and we walked everywhere(saved a ton on cab rides!!) Will definitely stay there next time!
The bed was a little firm, but all of us including his parents slept great!!
location - French Quarters, Louis Armstrong Park, Treme, ... personnel - very friendly and helpful room - beautiful, comfortable, clean patio/pool - great breakfast - awesome!
The room was a coveted location and well maintained. We stayed there last year. Very romantic!
We feel as if we were taken advantaged concerning the cost of the parking in the back of the complex. It was higher than we feel that it was worth. We will be looking elsewhere the next time we are in New Orleans.
The guest service at check in was awesome.
The hotel next door had the best parking at our hotel, we had to park away from the entrance. The gate to parking was left unattended and opened until around 10 p.m. The door in the bathroom had never been wiped off, their was an inch of dust on it. You could hear the people next to us having a conversation because their we're gaps in the brick wall that you could see through.
The location is wonderful, since it is only a short walk to the Quarter, and a cab is easy to find if necessary.
The walls in our room were extremely thin, as we stayed on the first floor next to the lobby. I woke up to every conversation at the front desk. The bed was as comfortable as a table, but with enough alcohol I suppose it wouldn't matter. Finally, the staff was hospitable, but far from friendly. We will most likely try to stay somewhere else next time, or at least request an upstairs room.
Very close to French Quarter and Louis Armstrong Park. Friendly staff with a very helpful concierge who gave dinner suggestion our first night. Well kept property with cozy courtyard which had brick patio near lionhead fountains squirting into the pool. Pet walking area with free pick up bags. Great breakfast with wafflemaker and fresh cut oranges, grapefruit, sliced tomatoes and cheese.
Noisy street traffic whooshing by at all hours. Too many fees for extras - parking was overpriced for the location, and pet fee $25 per pet per night. When we turned on A/C, the room smelled like gas and maintenance came to check but did not agree with our concerns. Would NOT stay at this hotel again - recommend Garden District.
staff was very helpful &friendly. Beds were comfortable with large rooms and a sitting area. The layout wa great for summer time and spring with a nice pool and patios.
The walls are to thin if your room is downstairs. No iron are ironing board. No coffee pot in room are phone to call front desk. No paper are pen if needed for notes. Only one bar if soap for washing hands and body.
It was a great experience!!!
Proximity to the French Quarter
The unmentioned $100 refundable damage deposit, failed to mention the parking was another $25 a day. I don't like those kind of surprises.
We had a very warm welcome by one of the female receptionist. She had great knowledge of the area and told us the best places to go and the safest ways to get there. Immediately she asked what we wanted to do during our stay and then helped us book our excursions- which was really helpful. Staff really wanted to make sure we had a good time. The hotel is situated just a short walk from lots of bars and restaurants- therefore it's less noisy. The rooms are very quaint and have a lovely feel. The swimming pool and outside area is also very pleasant. Breakfast was the only thing that could be better. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend to any of our friends and family.
location to French Quarter shopping, hotel staff, breakfast included, Staff knowledge and assistance with local sight seeing tours. Hotel it's self Beautiful with great history.
Room could use small fridge and microwave.
ambiance character cleanliness friendliness
Loved the location of the Courtyard. The staff went out of their way to help with all our needs. Loved the charm and the pool area. Plenty of places to sit and relax after a long day of walking.
A lot of history and great location
Clean, big rooms, balcony, pool
location- need a cab no matter where you go
staff is very friendly and helpful.
no towel racks in bathroom. continental breakfast doesn't have much to offer.
I liked everything about this hotel. .!!
The only negative would be that you hear noises from other guests in there rooms.
We could walk to all the great streets where all was happening. The morning breakfast, the best tomatoes ever.
Having to pay for parking, I think for what the cost of the rooms were, that should be included.
Hotel is in close proximity to the French Quarter. Nice pool, and nice staff.
We were allocated a room facing the busy street, very noisy. Slow internet connection in room. Bed was too hard. Breakfast was very simple.
Great little hotel, friendly helpful staff and close to Bourbon St and the French Quarter. Would recommend staying here.
Breakfast selections were minimal.
