No windows on the room. Sheets with horrible smells bathrooms disgust
The location is fantastic and central. The rooms are small but quiet and the beds are comfortable.
There's nothing I can think of.
The room, the bathroom, the shower, the beds, the whole place was a mess.
Initally location but later it was too much chinese :-).
Bedding was dirty. They don´t change it. Drywalls thin so one can hear ewerything from neighbours. Toilets awfull two for 20 room or more.
The staff were helpfull
I had to come out of my room to use the bathroom
No privacy: thin walls and doors. The hallway lights stay on all night and the ceiling was only a grate so there was nothing to block the light. Like being tortured at Guantanamo Bay!
That it was cheap but then again you get what you pay for!! Lol
Prison cells are larger and at least have their own toilet. Don't believe the linens are changed on a much regular basis and the noise all night long (especially the second floor!!) is unbearable!!! No amenities either, none!! The showers are disgusting but only if you don't like mold and unsanitary conditions. If someone has a crying baby in a room then everyone on the entire floor will hear it! The space above the ceiling is all open and you hear everything!!!
I dont like anything.
All of the room is small also dirty.shower so dirty and everybody waiting for toilet.lines is dirty.terrible hotel!!
The smells. You are connected with all the rooms by the roof. Is like you're in the other rooms. There is no ventilation. The shared bathroom for at least 10 rooms was very dirty. I bought sandals just for one day. The bedclothes were dirty, I slept on my own towel.
the TV in the room, good localisation, computer in the hall and hot water.
If you're looking for a 1 night stay in ANY conditions its fine. But not for 2 or more days! the room is too small and its dirty. A lot of stairs. Also there were a lot of different noises and we couldn't sleep!
Burned blanket with cigarrs. Too small room. Unconfortable bed.(better sleep on the floor). Too noisy at night, people screaming in hallway.. Dont go, dont go. Piece of crap...
There was nothing to like except the location
The staff has no respect. The environment was so dirty. The rooms are so small. We were facing so much problem. On the fifth floor whenever you go to the toilet it's busy and dirty. We were knocked on the door and asked to check- out prior our checking out time. Ridiculous ...... I think the organisation need to teach staff communication with foreigners. I am thankful we stayed for six days. We enjoyed New York a lot.
The position is very good to look around the New York famous scenery
1、The environment is terrible,so dirty of quilt. 2、The wi-fi is useless one day. 3、I book a double bed room for two guys,in fact they tell me one bed for two people is double bed room,if change need to pay more money. 4、This is horrible than cheap!
It had bed bugs small tv small room disgusting place
Need more and more thing it's not an hotel right now
My girlfriend and I needed a cheap place to stay after Comic Con. We are both in our 20s. We paid for a room here knowing that we were paying for a potential dump based on reviews, but this place was perfect for the 8ish hours we needed a place to crash. The room was a bit dirty and dusty on the inside from the tile, but we had our own bathroom and we slept well enough considering the downtown Chinatown location.
Trash all around the hallways. All tile. No elevator (not really make or break). A bit cramped. Not for families.
Although I would only stay here as a last resort, I actually loved the location. Thanks goodness they had hooks from which to hang my backpack. I'm paranoid of bedbugs but I didn't see anything and I inspected my bed pretty thoroughly. Can't say the same for the other rooms. I pretty much stayed here because it was the only place in Manhattan for under $100 that I could get last-minute. There is some house-cleaning and the desk staff do their best but come-on, we all know you're not here for the service.Thank God they provided shampoo, a razor and a toothbrush. Security was pretty good too. Staying here is not for the faint-of-heart, but it definitely made my first experience in New York super-authentic!
Beds were not turned down with thoroughly-cleaned sheets (but clean pillowcases!).Tiny dirty rooms. Towels had stains. 10 bedrooms sharing two bathrooms. Walls are PAPER thin! Lol. Also, there was a grate taking up half my ceiling where people could look down and see me haha...... I've been checking my gear for bedbugs since I've come home.
The staff was fine and the price was ok.
The size of the room meant you couldn't really do anything other than sleep. The free a/c is a wall mounted fan and the TV gets 5 channels - 3 in Asian languages. Also only 1 outlet
lack window in room, not fresh bedsheet and towels. Very tiny room, uncomfortable bed. Expensive.
For a room in Manhattan under 150$ a night during weekend there aren't many options. The wireless network is ok.
The rooms are tiny with nothing but a bed, and you can hear anything in the other rooms. The shared bathroom is filthy most of the time.
I liked the location, the bed was comfortable, but mostly the staff (the man at the desk) was the best aspect! He was so polite and professional! He even came all the way upstairs to knock on my door of my room for my wakeup call -- because his relief was late and he was still there after his regular shift should have been over! What a wonderful man!
I didn't necessarily like the holes in the bed sheet (but it was clean otherwise). Also the floor was dirty, and the refrigerator on the floor was disgusting (not plugged in but horrible inside). I could otherwise have used it for my water to keep cold.
The "rooms" are cells and not room, the hygiene is not existent. It feels like you are in a prison of a third world country. This place should be closed.
Everywhere is very dirty, the restrooms are in poor condition, the walls are very thin and you can hear everything, the rooms are small like cells, there is no elevator and so on....
:) the people who work there just do not care about guests doubts ....
an amazing experience, there were no clean towels, dirty sheets, bad smeel, ...
