The bathrooms were disgusting. Bed was too hard, I didn't expect the hotel to be good, but this was awful.
It was private.
Small, a little overpriced for the room they give you.
The bed was not even big enough for two people. My boyfriend is not that tall and he didn't even fit in the bed. The men that were supposed to clean were talking so loud early in the morning and they were smoking cigarettes next to my room. It was really not nice. They didn't even let me use the toilet. The walls are so thin, you litterally hear the neighbors breathing. There are not enought bathrooms in the building.
The guy at the front desk was really kind and refunded me for my second night as I was not happy. The location is good.
It's kinda noisy
This place is the best value if you don't care about where you're sleeping in NYC. It's clean and the location is fantastic.
Too small the room size. (Cant even move!!) Too thin wall so no sounds are absorbed Only 2 bathrooms for about 50 rooms(including double room) thats absolutely not enough
nice location And price
I didn't like that they didn't have any hand towels, no key cards or keys for each person staying in the room, rooms small, no cable
I liked the prices.
- Noise problems. You hear everything others do. - Cleanliness. Hair in beds, spots on linens, lot s of yellow spots on towels.
- Location - Pricxe
Tv's don't work, 5 floors walk up hotel. If you have heavy suitcases is a nightmare
tha stuff is communicative and able to give you info
The room is too small can barely fit the luggages. Noisy and dirty.
Extremely small and noisy rooms, generally dirty premises.
Very good location.
Bathrooms are pretty disgusting, everything leaks, toilet doesn't flush well. Make sure to use the restroom at the restaurant you dine in. Room was more like a box without any windows, if someone in the hotel takes shower it feels like you are at the niagra falls. The sound is exactly the same. However, I might come back there on my next visit to ny because of the pricing
Relatively good price and location. Will work if you plan only to come to sleep there.
I was already expecting a shity motel, but this was literally a shit hole… the room was a tiny cubicle where there was barely space for a minuscule bed and a chair, nothing else. It was dirty, smelly, noisy and felt unsafe. Next to me was staying a drunken old man, it wasn't the only one I saw in the building. The door of the 'room' would have been the easiest to break. Apparently they do have other types of rooms, which look a bit more like a normal motel, but this is not what I got. The catch is that they show you all kind of pictures of the hotel, not specifically of your future room, so you think you are getting a normal bed. Felt completely scammed!!!! I didn't stay a single night, luckily I knew some people in NY which kindly hosted me.
At least I got a half refund...
You hear everything from both other rooms and the hallway, when we used earplugs we were able to sleep well. Room is super small. There is a central heating and our room was really hot and we could not change the temperature.
Location is really good, you can walk to Lower Manhattan, China town and Little Italy and Soho. Hotel is really close to subway. The hotel is clean. If you consider very low price the quality is ok. Friendly personal. Good for young budget travellers!
Spend the extra $30 per night and go to the Comfort Inn around the corner or anywhere (and I mean anywhere) else.
I didn't like that the bedding and towels were stained and old. They looked like rags. And it made me question how clean were they really. And no parking! That became expensive.
Truthfully, I only liked that it was in Chinatown.
Too much noise from inconsiderate people on same floor.
Quickly changed my room upon request and also kept my luggage after checkout while I walked around the area.
The cheap rooms are actually not even rooms, they're just enclosed beds, with no ventillation. It gets super hot when the heating's on. No elevator, five storeys.
Quite good location in Chinatown, 5 minutes walk from the subways, good Chinese food in the neighborhood. Also, helpful staff.
Tiny, dirty room, stained sheets and pillows, occasional insects, one plug socket, paper thin walls, 3 toilets shared between 3 floors, dirty towels...
Free WiFi and hot water.
WiFi was horrible. My AT&T data plan was 100% better. The walls are paperthin so you can here everyone and what they watch at 2:00AM. Once I was there I found better places to stay but had to pay up front so stayed. I will never stay here again.
The only good thing is that i was close to food eateries.
I expected some noise from the other guests, but I have never experienced anything like it. One guest was so grotesque in his telephone conversations I felt physically uncomfortable. Of course, this is not the fault of the hotel, but soundproofing & privacy is poor. Also, natural light is very important to me, and staying in a box with no windows for five nights was a real struggle.
Rooms are extremely small and are more like a prison cell with no room to move and no window. Walls are thin like paper, and there is no proper ceiling but a plastic grid, that wasn’t even locked. One could hear everything from your neighbor, even the tipping of numbers in a mobile…TV didn’t work, only one toilet for about thirty people per floor. At night two times the fire alarm went of due to a short in the electricity by leaking water
WiFi, location, price
Guy snoring in the next room.
Inexpensive for a room w/private bath. 4 minute walk to Grand MTA. Located in Chinatown & Right next to Little Italy.
The room was FREEZING NO HEAT
there wasnt enough heat to keep the room warm.the 20 dollar room deposit should be listed on the website.
the free wifi was good enough for me to stream video
