Score from 1705 reviews Very good
Room was so dirty. Still remaining sockets from previous occupants (is the room cleaned?) Very dark rooms (some single rooms do not have windows!) No way to be reimbursed (maybe because the bad quality of the hotel...)
I wouldnt recomend this hotel to anyone! Dirty, no elevator and room wasnt a room but a hamster cage, we couldnt fit in there ourselves ans our luggage! CANT believe anyone let people stay in such a horrible place.
there is need for elevator and improved service to guests
Non assistance to guest in carrying luggages
The location was the reason we choosed it, we needed to be close to canal street.
The first problem was the room they did't expect 3 persons..but one, luckily they had a room available, than they got the payment wrong, but at least they fixed it. The room was really dirty, with red spots on the floor, the sheets were dirty too with hairs and spots. The bathrooms were dirty, and on the other side of the floor for us. I didn't felt secure. I would not recommend to anyone to stay in this hotel, unless the other option is to sleep on the street.
Garbage and mattrices in halls. Room was a closet with no window. Shared dirty bathroom with entire floor. Loud people.
The ubication was Very good
All inside the hotel. They should change the name to worst hotel
The wall in the room are very thin.virtually you could not sleep. The first night is a disaster. I just arrived from hk from exhausting 18 non stop flight as well jet lag and the side room was like screaming. Shouting and partying. You could not believe the experience... No elevator and table to put your thing.. Am going to talk to my insurance company tomorrow. There are also cockroaches in the night.i guess this place is not appropriate...
The location that's about it.
The bed bugs and bites I got
There were bedbugs in my room! I was covered by theis bites and it ruined the entire vacation! Never stay in this place.
No lift and only free rooms on the 5th floor. Far from clean. Tiniest room possible.
dirty walls, bed sheets and towels. Unhelpful staff, smell of cannibis, extremely unclean location. very small, cramped rooms.
Location is great. The price tag for a private room with two beds and it's own bathroom, I don't think you could find it anywhere else. Despite it's looks, everything smelled clean.
No elevator, no housekeeping, less facilities than a motel, we could hear one of the rooms next to us and sounds from the hallway, the room was small and it looked dingy but all these things were worth the location and the price tag to be in Manhattan.
Having our own bathroom and toilet was a surprise as we thought we would have to share a toilet.
TV connection was so bad it was hard to listen too. Although shampoo was provided soap was not. Some of the sheets had dried blood on. Other guests were not encouraged to be quieter late at night.
Size of single room dirty roaches and bed bugs lack of help from staff fifth floor with no lift I feel was bad luck, but the bathrooms were filthy. Nothing wrong with old and cheap but cleanliness was so poor, for a place that offers shared facilities it was awfull. The single room could have been two foot w Dider then the space wiped not be such a shok. Many times no toilet paper refil. I don't think reception staff were stupid I feel they didn't giv a damn. and the basic bedding and towels were not cleaned to a reasonable standard.
dirty bathroom, small rooms (just bed and thats it), bad smell
good location as close to train station, in middle of China Town a walk from Little Italy and 15 min to Downtown.
the walls are so thin between the rooms, that you can hear everything in other rooms, very noisy, hardly slept. there was one helpful staff others were awful. there are no lifts in the hotel, so many stairs to take to get to room, can be difficult to do if you have loads of bags. not very clean either.
The fact that as we walked in to check in, there was a person with a lot of red bumps all over his body complaining to the front desk that he went to the doctor to check the red bumps and he was told they were bed bug bites.
