they rapidly changed our room when we notified there were bugs in the one we were staying.
we found roaches in our bedroom. the common bathrooms were not pretty clean. the rooms are super tiny.
Location good conventien for china town , little italy , close to metro
Tiny room , no lift , no windows , basically I knew this before I booked so no big deal however didnt expect to wake up covered in bed bug bites with blood stains all over the sheets.
Absolutly bad, horrible hotel ! Clean in the room and bathroom , very, very bad. I can´t recommand it !!!! Room is absolutely small and bad!!!
Cheap compared to other NYC hotels After checkout we could leave our backpacks and pick them up in the evening
Very dirty You can hear everything going on in the other rooms Out all day - we used it only for sleeping but it was practically useless for that due to noise from other rooms. Not because of the other guests but because of paperthin walls
Price & location
Dirty, dirty, dirty No replace for towels We were supposed to ask at the front desk for new towels
Location is not bad. Only 2 blocks from a subway entrance.
Only stay in one of the small rooms on the 5th floor if your only other option is sleeping in your car. A room with a double bed was approximately 65 sq. ft. There was barely enough room to turn around. It was very cold in the room at night. Even worse was the noise. You could hear the conversations in every other room on the floor through the heating ducts which produced noise but little heat.
The room was very cold, the temperature outside was thirty five degrees and was warmer than the room. They gave us torn and old washed out blankets to cover with. These matched the sheets on the bed. The furniture was old and torn also. This was the best and the upgraded room.
Room shown at web site and room provided were different I had miserable time
I like this hotel because its close to china town and little italy. Subways are just 1 block ahead. And there are parks near the hotel. If you are a person who likes to go out very often this hotel is good enough but if you are a type of person who likes to stay inside the room and watch movies its better to choose another hotel. In china town foods are very cheap and the servings are really big
Facilities were not that good. Even the mattress and the pilows still looks dirty when I came there.
I just needed a place to crash in NYC for the night and you can't beat the price for this location. Yes, the rooms are very small, but it's Manhattan! What do people expect. Ours had a double bed (very firm! Is that even a mattress?) and a private bathroom. I understand that other rooms had single beds and shared a bath, so you just have to clarify what you are getting. I also paid twice as much as my friend who had the smaller room.
Convenient to EVERYTHING - trains, shopping, places to eat.
Matress was upside down therefore hard/uncomfortable, bedding not changed - sheets had food crumbs, stained, dirty. Hot water - not enough turning ice cold very soon.
The room is in the bed size meaning no space even to open the door the toilet were so dirty and plugged i had to go down to the third floor the room was dirty there is no air condition it was freezing no place even to place a hand bag everything on the bed the TV was old small and no button was working only on off i was on the 4th floor and guys there is no elevator and there is even 5th floor they say check out at 12 but in the reception he is asking you to leave at 11 already in short it was a traumatic experience
Leaving, that's was the best thing to do. Get out of this dirty place
It was nasty, cockroaches in the room, little animals in the bed, wifi so slow that it was unusable, the walls and the ceiling are so thin that you can hear everything from every room, nasty bathroom (20 rooms, 1 toilet / shower) that they kind of cleaned once a day. Really unfriendly staff. I can go on. Please do me a favor and avoid this place up till they improve there quality of this hotel.
There was absolutely nothing to like about the hotel, infact i had to let the money go, i could not stay there. i had to get another hotel to stay.i wont encourage anyone to ever use them
the fact that they refused to refund my money was very appalling, it was more like if u dont stay you forfeit your money. Which is rather unfair to customers
Providing the basic but important necessities, while i'm away from a steady home. At a Consideration price. And, How about the Hot Water Station (which many people underseeing), the DeskTop System Station, and the WiFi. I'd brew a tea, crunching on snacks, while enjoying the Desktop System by way of surfing the internet, and youtube-ing. Tuning in the Local Broadcast Radio from the CellPhone. The World Hotel is an un-Conventional Hotel: Sweet, Beautiful, and Unique. Without the World Hotel i will not know what to make. Oyea, the FrontStaff kindly will give wake up calls upon request.
Haters. They just rotten it up. And, Improvements can always be had. 4 Stars 1-left out for a space to always growing. Many Thank you New World Hotel. A guest & A fan.
the location to everything touristy that we wanted to see. Subway is very close, it was easy to find when we got to Chinatown, nice walk to Brooklyn Bridge in the morning. The young guy that checked us in was very nice and polite. Could not beat the price, Manhattan for super cheap...Ill stay again if ever on the East Coast
The stairs....don't think they are to code lol, the stairs...we were on the 5th floor (buns of steel by the time we got up there) Thin walls made for interesting entertainment...that night heard an oriental lady yelling at someone in the hallway...and someone wasn't too happy heard an alarm clock early in the morning....and the guy beside us was snoring but overall a nice place for what we paid for.
You share a bathroom on each floor and the bed was brutally hard (I have fibromyalgia so I'm a Whoos) but right near a subway stop and stayed 3 days what most uptown hotels cost one day! Little Italy one block over and fantastic Chinese food everywhere. No elevators.
Hard bed and inconsiderate guests who abused the one bathroom. Stairs were tough for me too, but I'm 65 and suffer from Fibro. I'd book again though.
The smallest every room / box I ever slept.
i will not go thereagain
the room dirty. when check in had to ask for clean pillow case. bed sheet were dirty . it was nasty.
It was cheap @ only 41 bucks a night it was exactly what I was looking for I go to the city for the bars and clubs not to hang out in my hotel. While it was half the size of my walk in closet at home, it was a perfect place for me to lay my head and sleep after a night of parting.
Bed sheets looked used but when asked for new ones it was no problem. seems like every body always had to use the rest room at the same time there was always a line. wouldnt recommend to people traveling with kids or couples
it was near from the center
The hotel was very dirty, the stuff unfriendly, Ive found insects in my bad and get sick with scabies. This are parasites spend a lot of money with hospital and I am still discussing with the hotel to get my money back. Will stay there never again!!!
Everything, dirty, shabby, un hygienic shared bathrooms, dirty linens ...
Location and wifi
Pretty much everything
