Value for money Cleanliness
The AC unit was noisy
Location! Free breakfast - simple but nice
wifi - just in the lobby I was waiting for someone to clean my room and make my bed after check in time
Location, price, clean. Safe, nobody messed with my stuff. Pleasant staff.
As any other hostel, sharing a room with a person you don't know is not really comfortable. But they matched me only with girls, what I appreciated.
Good neighborhood. Sink inside the room.
Bathrooms only for one person and only two available per floor. Poor breakfast, no place to have breakfast, you must take the food out or eat in the Tiny lobby. Cant take food into Your room. Walls need new paint and sound isolation to the outside is terrible. Could hear everything in the street during the north and NY is a city that never sleeps. Nevertheless it is one If the most afordable options in NY city and what you pay is what you get.
location near chelsea art district
very loud, no fresh air, rooms are looking more like basic prison cells than hotelrooms - sorry to say so! and, all of a sudden our keys didn't work - nobody at the reception so my friend had to leave without his luggage....
Been staying here before but this time, the standard has dropped significantly.
I found no positives except that they were ok to cancel two days of my 3 days reservation
Shared bathroom with 20+ rooms Very old building Unsafe feeling bad smell on all of the motel No wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby
No wifi in rooms No tv in single rooms Shared bathrooms dirty Bad location
place and price.
not maintained well.looks like old building
Friendly Staff Location Giant Muffins for Breakfast
Not much confort Wi-fi Connection
Noise in the morning any kind of isolation, key cards to entry in the rooms didn't work properly, bad conditions in the rooms and restrooms, no WiFi connection in the rooms and bad signal at the lobby, bad breakfast miss everything! And really expensive!
- no one on the desk - dirty room - really dirty bathroom - bathroom shared with 20+ people - noisy - didn't feel safe Much better options available eg City rooms
The location was great. Close to all attractions in Chelsea area. Staffs were also nice.
Too dark. Nothing in dorm room. Shared bathroom with too many rooms.
Poor lock on the door, the beds those are made of metal really noisy when someone turns one side to the other.
Location, cleanliness , specious room
Only one bathroom on floor
room was small, and overpriced, pictures are deciving on website
-Localization -Safe district -ideal place to stay if you want to see New York -near shop 24h CVS -subway 10 min by feet -WiFi in lobby -small breakfast (in offer on booking.com there was none) -no bugs -clean -staf very helpfull (they waited for us even we were there at 3 am. -rooms cleaned every day -AC in the room (loud fan in it but you can live with that)
-bathrooms always occupied -old building
The breakfast was very New York style. Good location close to the Chelsea Highline. Cheap private rooms.
Well, the fact that there is a disclaimer on the back of every rooms door stating that the "hostel" is not responsible for any lost or stolen items out of your room…my brother and I come back from breakfast to find our door wide open, with all of our valuables and passports in plain sight. This was 45 minutes before check-out. Who knows how long housekeeping or God knows who had left our door open only to see a vacated room…This is my biggest complaint. They say you have to check valuables up front, but how trust worthy is that even? I would highly discourage you from staying here unless you are backpacking and have nothing of value!
Location / galleries Personal Free gift - coffe, juice and donut for breakfast
No lift, but its generaly ok Little less water / busy hours
It is relatively clean, staff helped when I asked something (but they weren't always there and are not that kind of staff that points you in the map things in the city all the time); price is high for what you get but I guess for NYC patterns is OK. The view from the windows is nice too, heading to the Hudson River. There is a common area to meet people (the lobby, right in the entrance) but not one of the bests, it is small and not like in other places where you have a bar, activities, things like these. Beds are ok and rooms are for 2 which means it will be less likely to have problems to sleep due to other people's noises.
Wireless only in the lobby, the kitchen is available only by request to the staff, and they are not always available for that (and I am not sure if we can cook there - I didn't really try, just used the fridge); there are too many stairs to walk with your baggage if you stay in 4th floor or even more (as it was my case), or even to go in and out of the bedroom (which is even worse considering that Wireless is only in the lobby, so if you want to check out something in your computer before going out and then leave your computer there, you will have to get back), you can use their computers but have to pay for that. Also there is no bathroom in the ground floor (so you have to climb stairs for that too). Only two bathrooms (that means 2 toilets and 2 showers) for every floor, which means that there are only 2 for about 50 people. My padlock also didn't work properly in their locker (and it is a medium size, I guess you need a very small one to work on that).

Expected much better for a $150. Hostel. 3 small stained towels were left for our use. Bathrooms were filthy! Shower curtains were mildew and stained, come on, you can pick up a new one at the dollar store. No toilet paper in bathroom. Mattresses on bunk beds were the worst I've ever seen. And NO wifi! In NYC are you kidding me?
The hotel was absolutely awful: staff were not helpful at all, loud music at reception, not clean at all. Would definitely NOT recommend to anyone.
the location was amazing. there is bus line right in front of the hostel to connect to all the major subway line. the price is also unbeatable.
when I entered the room, the room was not really clean, especially the rug. I felt little bit gross to step on it. Im not sure when they vacuumed it. Also, you shouldn't expect the housemaid to clean your bed sheets nor change your towel. This hostel charged me $3.50/day to empty the trash.
