the staff did not have our reservations ready, they did not even show in the system, totally unprepared.
Staff i think are part-timers abd run the hotel up to their mode.
Check out at 11am and they can extend up to 12noon only.
Customer care, very gentle and helpful staff, location, room size, kitchenette, bathroom size, cleanliness, lounge.
No free wi-fi (even at the lounge), no plates or cutlery in the kitchenette, didn't arrive despite a note I left). It was my daughter's birthday and I asked in my reservation for a surprise cupcake etc. which wasn't delivered either.
Looked after us very well. It was our anniversary and they have us a free upgrade which was great.
Great hotel, still has a 'new' feel to it. Would stay again.
Very good position! Our room had a beautiful view.
View. Fresh atmosphere. Bar. Bed.
Good location, dishwasher in room
Air Condition fan cannot be put off totally, very dry air in room
The bathroom was clean and very nice
The living room was plan and not as nice as the rest of the room
The Hyatt 48 Lex is a minimum service style hotel - reception / lobby staff were very helpful and friendly on check in, check out, and prior to our stay when we requested accommodation about the hotel. However the hotel entrance is small and the concept is simple - great accommodation in a very central location - rather than a full service hotel (so no breakfast buffet, gym or other facilities like that, and there is a charge to use wifi). There is a bar and lounge on level 2 which we did not visit, and many restaurants near by. The hotel was perfect for us with large comfortable rooms, very new and modern facilities, clean, comfortable, and great location on Lexington Avenue - a short walk to Madison Avenue, Rockefeller Centre, Times Square and all the big department stores. Subway stations are very close for easy travel uptown (although you can also walk or take a taxi as the hotel is well-placed for the Upper East side and Midtown areas) and downtown to the East Village, China Town / Little Italy / Soho and lower Manhattan. The mood in the hotel was young, fun, and stylish and we really enjoyed our stay.
Everything was great - we felt the holiday was great value over the New Years Eve period when hotel prices were high. It was clean, new, modern, and great location.
The staff were courteous, helpful and extremely welcoming! The accommodations were chic and of high quality! I highly recommend this hotel.
Rooms, Executive lounge, location, staff
Staff was not organized in response to requests and sorting matters for us. We had 7 rooms via Booking.com and reservations at the hotel had a software/hardware problem. Some guests were hastled on checkout that they were leaving early when we had confirmed updates... And charged. We believe credits are in process but they are not immediately visible online with credit cards. Elevator alarms went off for a significant period of time during one night. Elevators were very slow as there are too many rooms for 2 elevators. Dry cleaning was terrible. Stains ironed into pants (ruined). The rooms are quite dark and my guests made requests for additional lighting. They moved to the Four Seasons... My guests requested we not use the hotel again for any further meetings. In my attempts to review the items the management & obtain a letter to send to my group I was met with a very poor tone and no letter. This is not what I expect from Hyatt. Empty apologies...with attitude.
Beautiful views of the city. Nice decor
The lobby was very very simple. It seemed like we would just walk to the elevator from the entrance. Seemed like the hotel was more like an apartment building with a doorman rather than a hotel
