New York Central Grand Central Apartment  

Location wise it is convenient.

The location of the apartment on the 4th level is not convenient at all , especially since the 4 of us are bringing heavy big luggage. It was a struggle to drag them all the way from the street to the apartment..everybody was sweating and complaining he.he..

Location and comfortable place

Privacy, location, spacial and it included kitchenware.

No staff on sight, we had to grab the keys from a different block which was inconvenient.

It was clean, cheaper than the hotels nearby, and convenient for my business. The staff of the management company helped me with key collection when I complained (see below for details).

The apartment is furnished with the bare minimum and with rather basic items. The apartment is long and narrow, with the access lobby so narrow you cannot walk side by side through it. It is located on the ground floor so security is a worry - but in addition, the aircon unit is wedged in the front window between the lower sash and the cill, so the window doesn't shut. As the flat is surrounded by bars, restaurants and clubs the noise is a big problem and only dies down around 2am. Light sleepers beware. My biggest gripe however is with the booking process. You are not told until after you have booked that (a) the keys have to be collected on arrival from a separate location, 14 streets south and 9 blocks west - the other side of Times Square, and (b) there is an additional charge for collecting keys after 8pm - which doubles after midnight. Finally, I stupidly left my Braun razor on the bathroom shelf. Despite contacting the managers within 24 hours it was never found.

It was in the middle of Manhattan, you could do everything by foot (we did). The subway was also close by and handy to get back in the evening or to go to the other side of the city. We arrived jut after 12pm and there was still somebody in the office. Also we had a small complain witch I mentioned and was solved the day after !

The only hard thing was to go first to a pick up point for the key wich is not very close to the appartement. So your taxi need to wait a bit an it is in a busier part of Manhattan.

It was ok, good position in NY and good value

Problems with the keys... when we arrived, no information and nobody ! We had to phone and then go to pick up the keys (2h with the subway and by foot)... bad surprise. And no mail with the good information !

Great way to stay in nyc. Awesome having an entire apartment that you can cook in! Very clean spartan apartment. Overall my wife and I were very pleased

We had to travel across town to pick up the keys and check in. It would be cool if they had a live in super that could take care of that at the building you stay in.

The apartment was huge and really lovely. It was perfect for our stay and I wouldn't hesitate staying there again. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The free wifi was a bonus as was the free phonecalls!

The only thing that was a bit of a pain was the fact that you had to pick up the keys from a different location but, it wasn't far and the taxi ride didn't cost much. This was not an issue as we were so happy with our stay here.

While price was the high priority in my choosing NY Central Suite, the location was also very important - and I know this location in Manhattan...very convenient. There was plenty of room for the two of us; there was a kitchenette area to make coffee/tea, and to store items which needed refrigeration. Great area to walk around, and convenient to transportation hubs. Felt safe and secure, and had a wonderful sleep overnight, before heading on to a second leg of travelling. And in the morning before checking out, went for coffee and found the greenmarket open on 2nd Avenue. Had an initial problem with keys to suite and they sent someone quickly to help us enter the apartment. Terrific!

We couldn't access the television to check news, and could not access the international telephone line, as instructed (my friend wanted to call her daughter to let her know she'd arrived safely in NYC).

Locarion and value for the money spent.

Was not very clean. Bed linens were dirty and we had to change them ourselves upon arrival. Televison was not hooked up or working. Heat was on all the time so we had to keep winows open all the time. A call about the Tv and beeding was not returned.

la situation géographique au cœur de Manhattan

Manque de fenêtre dans le séjour. Un seul jeu de clefs alors que nous étions 6. L'adresse pour récupérer les clefs n'est pas la même que celle de l'appartement.

A localização

Vimos um camundongo no apartamento. Ligamos para a imobiliário que encaminhou alguém para tentar resolver o problema. Mas, no dia seguinte, vimos outro camundongo andando na pia da cozinha. Isto foi muito desagradável.

La limpieza y ubicación.

Cuesta un poco subir las valijas por la escalera pero en sí es una excelente opción.

La situation géographique

Nous avons écris à la personne correspondante depuis le début car il y avait un soucis avec la douche mais cette derniere ne nous a jamais repondue...Nous nous sommes lavés avec une bassine d'eau... ce qui je trouve est inacceptable...

Ophalen sleutel op een totaal ander adres, andere kant van de stad. NIet bereikbaar zijn van sleuteladres op zondag. Zou vanaf 10.00 uur bereikbaar zijn, wij waren daar om 10.30 uur en toen was er nog niemand. Weinig handdoeken. Wij kregen policy inzake overlast, nou op zaterdagavond om 11.30 uur was er nog geschreeuw en muziek van jewelste op de begane grond onder ons.

Very good location, not far from grand central station or central park. If you are a gold walker, you can easily visit the most of things by walking.

This is not an hotel but a small rental agency which rent apartment in different area of NY. The apartment was at the other side of NY compared to the agency, so we had first to cross over manhattan with luggages to get the keys. That mean also for the last day, you have no reception to let your luggages, you have to go back to the agency to drop your luggages and be abble to visit... The apartment was really smaller than described. Even if the bedrooms were big, the livingroom was too small (when the sofa is open, you can't stay 6 persons around the small table to eat, and there is only 3 chairs for 6 anywhay). And another very bad point is that you have no window in the livingroom, so that you feel like in a cave : really not nice when you like to discuss together and spend good time after a day of visits. Globally, the building is old and not very clean, so we discovered that a mouse came during the day to eat our food ... Really disgusting. The staff came 2 days after our claim to put product in the apartment.. In conclusion, for that price, prefer to choose a real hotel.

la posizione è molto ben collegata alla metro e ad alcune attrattive della città l'appartamento è sufficientemente grande per 3 o 4 persone

abbiamo trovato un topo in camera ed il riscaldamento era altissimo e non modificabile (in bagno si rischiava di svenire...) la via sulla quale si affaccia la finestra della camera è piuttosto caotica anche la notte

Buena ubicación

Que durante los 10 días que duró la estancia no nos cambiaron las toallas, únicamente una toalla de baño para cada una (éramos 3 amigas) y una en el lavabo para compartir.

The apartment has great location.

There are no elevators in the building. They could make the handing out of the keys easier.

Space, there was a lot of room.

You have to go all the way across town to get the keys. This is incredibly inconvenient.

Location of the apartment is OK (ca. 20 minutes walk to the Times Square and 10 minutes to the nearest subway station). The apartment is having 2 separate bedrooms which is good if the visitors do not want to share same room (like in our case). Combined kitchen/living room was pretty small.

There were very hard instructions that we do not cause any disturbance for neighbors. However, it was the nighbors who were causing some disturbance for us! Be careful when using the lock of the door btw the apartment and the staircase. Namely there is a real risk that you may find yourself locked out. We received only two keys and none of them was for that lock which is normally used. Luckily we realised first to test the locks before closing the door - I strongly recommend to make the same! In our case the waste water of the sink (in bathroom) did not run away. I was making a call to the reservation centre (New York Hospitality Services). They promised to send a plumber but nothing happened. We were very disappointed because it was making normal 'toilet operations' difficult. Despite of informing NYHS they did not apologized. The apartment is really not for disabled or elderly people. It located in 4th floor and the stairs were pretty hard and narrow and no elevator! You need to pick up the keys from totally other location. However, this wasn't any bigger issue for us but its good to take this into consideration especially if you are having luggages. You needed to sign a very strange lease agreement (4 fully pages written in contract english which was very difficult to understand) at the time of picking up the keys. I was wondering whether man should show the paper for an attorney before signing! For example: There is a term that you should pay totally $ 7,000.00 for out (six (6) nights!). I was calling to NYHS and asked what this mean and I was getting an answer that I do not need to worry about it?! Just summarizing, I needed to call two times for the NYHS and this was causing me nothing but unnecessary costs and lost time.

Me gusto la ubicacion, la comodidad, el equipamiento del departamento.

Como fue la posición de la llave, fue confuso y debimos esperar mucho en la puerta hasta que nos entregaron la llave.
