It was close to the Brooklyn Bridge which I walked over that was the highlight!
The "Resteraunt" was like a school cafeteria. Dinner and breakfast were basic. The staff were not at all interested in us and rude at times. No room service at all. I phoned for some milk (only powdered non dairy in room) just a flat "no way". I wouldn't suggest anyone to go there and I wouldn't return. No value. No character.

Location, access to Manhttan is easy subway entrance is right outside the hotel, or just walk across the bridge. Parking garage with elevator to lobby. Broooklyn Hights is a few blocks away. Pool, hot tub, and descent rooms.
The restaurant, you pay 5 star prices for 3 star food. But there is no need to eat at the hotel with Brooklyn Hights so close and all of Manhttan a subway ride away.
Staff very helpful, went out of their way to assist us. Good location in Brooklyn, convenient and central.
Rooms are seriously basic - old look and feel. Hotel under renovation so bar was relocated to a conference room.

Staff was very helpful. Overnight parking was cheap for NYC, $25/night. Hotel room was very nice, big, clean. Very nice view.
Nothing, everything was very nice.
We arrived early in the morning, our flight was an hour early. We asked what time check-in was and the agent said at 4 pm. We took a moment to figure out our plan. Then the agent asked what name was the reservation under and I told her. Then she said we can put you on a list for early check-in, we said sure. Asked where the restrooms where and my colligue wanted to change. We walked away from the desk to have a seat. Then she called me over and said I think we may have a room available, I said that would be great. She proceeded to check us in. We went to our room and where able to get a couple of hours of sleep before our confrance started. That just really made our day and stay very awesome. Her service was so kind and graciouse. That the kind of hospitality that make a place a noch above the rest. Thank you so much. I think her mame was Marcia? She worked the overnight shift of the 25 of October.
Even though the cleaning staff recognized that the prior occupant had smoked in the room they immediately made it available instead of following their normal procedure to put an air cleaner in the unit until the smoke smell was gone. ALL the towels and the shower curtain reeked of cigarette smoke!
This Mariott is top of the line. As soon as you enter you feel good. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel bar staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Facilities clean and modern.

Excellent service from the staff, room very clean, quiet and comfortable, tons of pillows. Bathroom was spacious and had a really fast hair dryer, and great lighted, magnifying mirror. Hotel had a really nice health center with large, clean pool, hot tub, and showers, and it was a very short walk to subways, and shops and restaurants in Brooklyn Heights.
Not much that we didn't like, but would have liked more shelf space in the bathroom to put clean clothes while showering and would have rather had wrapped plastic cups instead of the glasses for drinking.
Location and room quality was good
I spent almost 30 min. waiting to order breakfast on Sunday morning and then another 45 waiting for food. We finally had to leave without eating. Poor service that does not reflect well on the property or the Marriott brand.
Room 551 in north tower had poor view .Entry door was not closing properly

Lovely large spacious room, extremely comfortable king bed, short walking distance to the promenade, the amazing view to Manhattan and the waterfront. Got the subway from Manhattan to Borough which is just across the road.
When you pay over $330 (inc taxes) for a room for one night, you don't expect to have to pay an extra $15 for wifi! It's not a huge amount, but the $330 also didn't include breakfast. When we asked, they said we could "go and sit in the public areas" for free wifi. Consequently the upper and lower lobbies were littered with people checking their emails, diaries and whatever else. There was not a spare chair to be had. We needed to check in online but did not have the facilities to do so and as a result we had to sit separately on our plane journey home. Wonderful hotel, staff and location, shame they are so mean with what was free at even the budget hotels during the rest of our stay in the US - and they ALL did free breakfasts too!

The cleaning staff was wonderful,the location was so nice because I had easy access to shopping areas and the train station. The desk staff was very helpful too.the rooms were so homey,cozy and cleaned nice.
We had complications in the booking for the rooms I requested, leading to more money being spent.i booked 3 rooms but was given only 2, I had to pay more than what I bargained.

We had a bad encounter while there last Friday. There was a film shoot that we were not told about when we came in and we were badly inconvenienced . We even missed appointment s as a result. We relocated as a result. They refused to reimburse us . They only gave a 50 call or
Location was great. Housekeeping was nice and friendly.
Front desk people were not overly friendly or helpful. The consierge was not helpful at all. Second time at this hotel, she was super busy and sent us to the same bad restaurant. We went last time and the restaurant was empty. Neither time did she ask what we were looking for...ie..how much did we want to spend, what type of food we were looking for, did we have young children. Not helpful at all. Obvious that she gets something in return for referring people to this restaurant.
