The Location

No free internet in the rooms. No free bottled water in the rooms.

staff excellent and attentive. excellent large rooms for manhatten.. facilities in the room were excellent excellent location walking distance to times square 12 minutes. Rockafella 1 block 5 mins. Central park 14 minutes. Such a wonderful location in a class part of town. they have a shower room , towels, and shower gels hairdrier etc to use prior to getting your flight to refreshen up once you have checked out on the 8th floor locker rooms. Outstanding Hotel we would love to see it once it was finished. The conerige staff made the hotel and the trip. They checked in for us on line and printed our boarding cards etc and booked many trips. Reception staff need training from them!!!

currently the hotel is being refurbished. There is a little noise from 0800 to 1700 mid week. However this did start at 0700 on most days. However this could have been St Patricks across the road which is also being refurbished as well. Despite all this it was worth staying there.

We loved the location, the staff could not have been more helpful or nice! Our room was very clean.

Paying for internet connection. Seeing the beautiful lobby being renovated was hard but we can not wait until it is finished!!

Old grandure, location,staff, clean, felt pampered,wonderful room.

Beds and pillows were super comfy, crisp white sheets.

The staff was indifferent and unhelpful, the hotel was chaotic because of renovation, the room itself just looked like it needed a good scrubbing.

The location was excellent, the room really spacious and exceptional clean. Staff friendly, very efficient.

The hotel is being renovated and the work results in the hotel's grandeur being somewhat lost. On arrival our taxi driver could not find the entrance and "dumped" us far from the "temporary" entrance. Not the hotel's problem as such but disappointing

An excellent hotel in a very central location. 15-20 mins walk to Central Park and Times Square. 5 mins to Rockerfeller Centre. Room was lovely with excellent views and although extensive renovations underway this did not impact on our stay.

Lack of tea/coffee making facility. Being picky but requested coffee machine twice which never appeared.

The hotel was beautiful even though there were improvements going on. Everyone was really friendly and helpful as this was the first time in New York. The room was lovely with a great view.

Just that there was renovations going on so the lobby was crowded but not really much of a problem.

Location at the heart of Mid town Manhattan is very good. Friendly and helpful staff. Large room for New York.

Really needs refurbishment, room a bit worn, old and smelly. Lots of drilling noises from construction work, hotel is being renovated. Charging € 15,99 per day for internet is ridiculous these days.

I had a great stay at the NY Palace. It is not the cheapest hotel in the town but it surely adds à plus to your stay in NY. The rooms are very spacious and have a great view. The staff is great and really does everything to make your stay special: the concierge service is the best and helpt you with every question you woud have, as this was oud honeymoon we got champagne in the room the first nicht. After a hectic day in the city it is a quiet place of luxury to return to.

The hotel is going through some renovations. This is not mentioned when you reserve. The first day we were wakened by the noice of the works. However, when I talken this with the assistant hotel manager, he immediately worked out a solution. No discussions, only apologies and perfect solution so I can only say this woud make me go back.

Great location Friendly staff, got upgraded to corner room when the initial room was small for my family. Nice rooms.

Beds too small. Renovations in foyer and exterior of the building was a let down. People crowding the small foyer. Lack of good restaurant in the hotel.

No complimentary wi-fi in the rooms hence had to use the wi -fi at lobby at odd hours

The Location

The Renovation works. It did not advi when booking the hotel would be under renovation. It wa a mess around the outside of the hotel

No mentoin before checking in the hotel was being renovated. A conference was booked in the hotel over our stay. Had to wait for over 30mins for a lift multiple times. Watched a family with 2 young kids wait for 45 mins. Ended up walking down stairs to lower level to access the ground. Music from the conference (speakers being demonstrated) reverberated through my room for the 3 days I was there until late at night. The stay was certainly not what we expected.

Hotel is under remodeling until Sept. 2013. A lot of noise if you don't have a room on the West side.
