Everything really. Friendly service, location was excellent and a hint of Paris.
We received an upgrade, which surprised us in the best possible way. The room was extremely comfortable, and the staff were without exception attentive and friendly. The location is perfect for guests who want to explore the shopping along 5th Avenue.
No tea 'n coffee making facilities in the room.
a little disappointed, there were so few and not as festive as we thought it would be.
Attention and courtesy of hotel staff Very comfortable bed Excellent location
USD 15-20 fee for each delivery received by the hotel from internet purchases
Every hotel depends on the quality of the Staff and at Sofitel Midtown they are marvellous. From the Reception people to the Concierge, they are friendly but professional. The location is fantastic within easy walking distance of 5th Ave
Little bit difficult to get taxis at the hotel. Maybe they could "link" with UBER or something for tourists. Mind you, it is only a short walk to the main Avenue!
The ambience was perfect. The location for my trip was right on. The staff was friendly and efficient.
The bed was very uncomfortable. I cannot sleep on a bed that soft. I could not stay there again for that reason and that reason only.
The location (steps from Bryant Park and Times Square), hotel staff, and room were wonderful. Very clean and well maintained. Beautiful hotel. We will definitely be back!
Firmer pillows would be nice
location. spacious room comparing to other tiny soho hotels.
rooms are dirty - very dusty.
The staff was fantastic! They understand service and courtesy. I had the pleasure of dealing with Danielle at the reception desk. If only all hotel staff were like her, it would make travelling so much better. She was professional, courteous and helpful. It is because of staff like her that will keep me coming back and recommending the Sofitel to my friends!!
The gym was a bit small, but you cant have everything, especially in NYC?
the staff the room and the service very very good
Most Staff were obliging and friendly and helpful.
Food and drinks very expensive.
The staff were fantastic!
The bartender made terrible drinks
Internet quality is very poor. They offer high speed internet for extra money. They should offer the high speed internet, in the price of the room, which is high enough.
We've never been to NYC before so it was difficult to know which hotel to choose. We weren't disappointed.Great venue, great hotel. My husband and I travelled with our 16 yr old son and stayed in a luxury king suite. This was perfect for all of us as we had plenty of space and doors to separate the 2 sleeping areas. He was happy because he had his own TV and privacy! Food in the restaurant was lovely.
Had to wait for 3 hrs on the first night for the sofa bed to be made up despite requesting for it to be done ASAP and phoning several times. However that was the only problem and they were very apologetic.
Just about everything.
The wake up call never came, we were lucky to somehow wake up at an early time on our own.
Very Comfy Bed Excellent Staff Location Good Ambiance Lovely Decor
Someone else had charged Lunch to our room on same day we checked out. This was however removed by the Hotel once it was brought to their attention.
Great location, comfortable room and very quiet hotel allowing a good night sleep. Will definitely stay there again.
Friendly helpful staff. Close to Transit, Times Square, Shopping, Theater District and great restaurants.
Chek in time with a dely a of 1:30 min. 4:30 pm room rady
Location was good, the bar was nice, the rooms small but comfortable, great bathroom.
We were silly enough to ask the hotel people to get us tickets for a show. The tickets were bought the same day as the show, at we asked for good seats, top price $.142 We got 4 tickets and our bill was over $1200. Basically the bell boy, concierge, or whoever is the person that takes care of these things in these hotels, charged us, not 20 not 30 not 50% more for the service but 100%.!!! Absolutely outrageous! We complained to the manager, a french gentleman, who was very nice, also he was seemingly appalled by the swindle, and as a consolation, allowed us to keep one of the two rooms longer and check out three hours later than check out time. And that is it. Not good enough, really. I know that services in NY are outrageously expensive, but the bell boy/lady pocketed $600 and that is unspeakable! We do not think we shall ever stay in a Sofitel around the world again, however written apologies would have been in order, but nothing came forth - all forgotten, but not by us!! We were in NY on an anniversary celebration, and after having read so many reviews of hotels that actually made extra efforts to please customers on particular occasions, it is all rubbish. This hotel did nothing of the sort. We had also booked a Superior queen room on higher floors offering views of Manhattan, and we were staring into windows of the building on the opposite side of the narrow road.
The bathroom was very comfortable, fresh and clean. I especially liked the stall shower and the generous countertop. The decor throughout the hotel is very attractive.
I requested a quiet room not knowing that that would result in a smaller room than average. Next time I will be sure to ask for a larger room than #1223.
-great location, 5 mins to timesquare , 10 mins to the empire state building, 15 mins to the central park. -best concierge ( Raja)
- very expensive. - asked for laundry service and no body came to pick up the clothes. - no laundry line, u have to call the reception for that!!
