Front desk check-in very courteous; responsiveness of concierge (transport from jfk arranged in advance; availability for help and information); room décor and bathroom design, especially lighting; excellent room service (breakfast); relatively quiet room despite being on 45th St; blocking curtains worked well against the light at night My tv did not work well - mostly the local channels but then cnn - I reported it the first afternoon but nothing was done; I had to ask again the next morning, whereas I only had 2 days in ny! Also, the first morning, they forgot to bring the nyt I had requested with breakfast in room.

Everyone was very nice. Wonderful atmosphere. Service is superb. It's a luxurious hotel and has an excellent restaraunt adjoining. I love that hotel. It was confusing that I booked a room with two single beds, but that wasn't available at check-in. I understand things change. The hotel was very nice about it and was very accomodating! They get 5 stars for stepping up!!! I ended up very, very satisfied and I really appreciate it! I'll be back there and I recommend Sofitel to all my friends.

the staff,specially in the reception and the door mans. the decorated of the public areas, the breakfast( not the staff) and the spacious bathroom. the room's door couldn t be totaly close and make noises when ever someone on the same floor shut his room's door.

Friendly and helpful staff. Provision for free mineral water is insufficient. Only one small bottle of Evian. Should be at least 2 bottles each day.

As we arrived, we wanted to take a shower and what we saw was really nasty.. the wall of the shower was covered with hairs, not single ones but with bush of hair. Next morning i told this to the reception.. but there was no sorry or anything.. just " Ok i will send someone cleaning it for your " That was really poor. But overall it was a great located hotel with quiet an nice rooms. cleanness

Staff service levels are really excellent. Speaking as a frequent traveller, I can honestly say it is the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. Given the hotel is in the middle of downtown, the noise levels really are minimal.
