yes: the location, the hallway, the design, the architechture, the check-in guy, the elevators, the people who stay there, the bathroom, the rooms smell of old buildings, the ice machine is on certain floors so if you are on a floor that doesn't have a machine you are forced to take the elevator to go to a floor that does have it (ridiculous!!), the doors do not close on their own. |

Even though I booked a room on sale, they gave me a free upgrade to a larger room with 2(!) bathrooms. Staff was very nice. It's in New York so it's not exactly cheap. |

It was by no means four star: the lobby had the charm of a busy train station waiting room, and woth no room service the absence of minbar and coffee maker unacceptable. |

The location was excellent. If your plans are to explore Manhattan and the only thing that you will do at the hotel is sleep and relax, The New Yorker is the place. |

It's location in the heart of Manhattan...easy walking to top attractions. The room was very small and there were no tea or coffeee facilities. |

the bed and pillows were the comfiest ive ever slept on. The tv in the room was large and had a range of channels including movie channels for free, which was good after a hard days sightseeing. There is also a fab diner called Tick Tock adjoined to the hotel, which is where we eat breakfast everyday of our stay. There was such a variety on the menu, it was cheap and the portion sizes were huge, really set us up for the day. there were no dressing gowns provided. |

Only location! The hotel engaged a big amount on my credit card without telling me, when the reservation was already fully prepaid! THIS caused me a lot of trouble in new york. |

Good location, good service with bag checking service Decor of hallways and rooms very dated. Could stay here for business, but would not bring my wife here. Appears that many basic corners have been cut on the floor decor that make an otherwise good hotel feel cheap |

Room was comfortable. Location was good, convenient for getting around nyc. The services were minimal. For example, had to stand in line several times at check-in desk when key card got demagnitized, and was charged by Bell Man to put bag in storage for 1/2 hour after checkout. |

We upgraded to a fabulous room with a balcony. The location was great. The staff was fabulous. The Tick Tock Diner was convenient. The Copper Tavern was great. We had a great time at this hotel. I would go again. The door man who gave us to a taxi ( a private one not a y ellow one) that charged us $30 each. We should have insisted on a yellow taxi. |

Access to the room floors was secured. A reasonably priced with good food diner is attached to the hotel lobby. Good storage for luggage. Very centrally located. Access to booking for transportation to airport, etc. on site. |
