The location, views and friendliness of staff.
No tea or coffee making is provided within the room.
Rooms tiny, keys locked out everyday, old bathroom,no room on wardrobe,in general dirty
Very good location, staff helpful and check in very quick.
The Wyndham New Yorker is a gorgeous hotel! Kind and courteous staff and our room was spotless. Located within great walking distance of shopping, the empire state building and much more! The service and overall feel of the hotel stood up to the price. Would definitely stay here again.
Nothing comes to mind
size of room, comfort of mattresses worse in years.
Nowadays all hotels offer free wifi. It is even advertised on their website that they offer free wifi, which is very important for most travelers. However we got there and found out that it is only free the first 12 hours and 19 dollars after that per day!! Not cool...
Location and ease of getting to attractions easily. Tick Tock Diner! Comfortable beds!
Wifi access very hit and miss - staff didn't help - only gave IT telephone number when asked how to access and help with queries.
Great Location and the rooms are comfortable.
Some of the staff were very rude in their manners.
This was our honeymoon and everything from start to finish was fantastic. The view of the city from floor 39 was fantastic. It was hard leaving this hotel and city. I will be back.
My 14 year old son and I travelled to New York for the weekend. This hotel was in a good spot - allowed us to walk to most everything on our 'must see/do" list. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff were very pleasant.
While the lobby of the hotel has been updated, the rooms - most especially the bathrooms - are not. We found the shower to be a bit unpredictable (hot, hot water and then cold!) and our toilet got blocked one night.
Location - close to subway and we walked everywhere. When I got there I was worried that it might be a little dated... but the room was great... small - but what do you expect in NYC and we were only there to sleep and shower! The staff were really nice and helpful!
The lifts are a slight issue when you are on the top floors... but that isn't really a big deal!
nice size room for new york & good price
very noisy constant door slamming made stay very noisy and was difficult to sleep & relax.
The views from the 40th floor of downtown along with the Statue of Liberty. at Breakfast on the 39th floor a great view of the Empire State Building. If you can go for the Breakfast included, beats having to give tips everyday. across from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station, so easy to commute from the Newark Airport (Easier during the day) 10 minutes from Time Square and the Empire State.
beds comfortable, situation of hotel
very expensive, and they charge to hold your bags on day of check-out and this is the main reason that I would not book this hotel again.
the locations was excellent, minutes from train station. minutes from times square. hotel was old but seemed to be clean.
rooms were very small and outdated.
Slow and crowded elevators. Noise from hallway, adjacent rooms and various machinery
Used this hotel a few times now and every time the staff were courteous and professional. Each room has been different each stay but consistently clean and comfortable. Fridge included in room which is a must if staying during the summer months. Will definitely stay here again.
As a customer of the hotel the hotel charge $2 per bag to hold bags until your flight etc after check out. I think this is just nickel and diming on the part of the hotel.
This hotel has such a historic character and feel. You can still see a lot of the original fixtures and touches that are being preserved, while adding modern updates too.
The TV was a flat screen, but was not HD. The wifi connection was not very good.
Location is good
Pay extra for everything ( printouts, luggage storage, fast wifi) Old rooms are really in no nice shape
Comfort of the room, the room was really small. The rest is fine
No hand shower but fixed Reduced space in the room
Room was small, cold, drafty
Great view of skyline from balcony Bed comfortable Staff friendly Suite was nice but a little on the small size.
Hotel interior looking tired. Tic Toc dinner shabby, food just OK
Great location for public transport. Some of the front desk staff were helpful, some. And that's about it.
In need of a major renovation, head to toe. Nothing like the pictures. Clogged faucet, cramped room, maids going through our stuff, moldy carpets, no fridge in the room. The attitude of staff in general was the worst I have seen during our month long trip. Never going to stay here again.
