Score from 2845 reviews Very good
Courteous staff Good Location Nice fixtures and furnishings
Room was miniscule Pricey but then NY is
Very convenient to penn station Staff were helpful and even gave me an early check-in at 11 am.
Complimentary wifi was so slow it was pretty much useless
Central location, close to Madison Square Garden Lovely well-kept room pleasant staff
only a small matter, but a "do not disturb" placard would have been nice, to prevent cleaning staff from knocking after a hard day's walking round Manhattan!
Convenience of location. Very efficient lift service. Excellent coffee facilities in room.
Arrived 3 hours late owing to flight delay and our room was not ready. No allowance for a couple of extra hours in room at end of stay. Standard light flex looped ( not extended) - a potential fire hazard.
Good location, staff very friendly but make sure to specify the type of room you'd prefer..
....had to spend 3 days in a very small room with view on the other wall of the building, a/c not working and even if turned off made horrible noise during the night, then could change to a normal room
the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was nice
Location was excellent - beside Penn Station so easy to take the train in from Newark. Very convenient if you are going to see a hockey game. Close to most sites and subway lines. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Rooms were small - enough for a bed but not much more. Because the room was so small, could easily hear all noises from the outside hall. Even though we were on the 29th floor, could still hear the noise from the street. Shower was old - difficult to get the right temperature and the temperature fluctuated during the shower.
Rooms very small & wifi only worked in lobby which meant I had to leave my daughter in the room if I needed to go down to use the wifi
Location of hotel is fantastic
Bathrooms not very clean, in need of modernisation
The group of concierge where very kind
i could hear inside my room the noise of the hall
The staff was friendly. The location was convenient. The room was nice, giving that warm comfortable setting.
We were in NYC to move our daughter there for work. We had been staying at another hotel down the street and we were not very happy there. We noticed this hotel in the area and decided to spend our last night there. It was wonderful. Staff friendly and courteous. Room was very clean and comfortable! And the diner was amazing!! We would stay here on our next trip!
It's the 2nd time I stay at this hotel. The location is the best possible, I love that area, it's so safe, close to shops and subway and everything anyone may need. The hotel is great, the price is one of the best for the area and the hotel rating - there were other 3 stars hotel more expensive than this one on the same area, which is a 4 star hotel -, the Wi-Fi is free, the beds are soooooo comfy.
The room I stayed this time was slightly smaller, though it was Queen size just as the other time 2 years ago, but it was smaller, though enough. And also, in NYC the rooms are never big. The hotel is old, though renovated, and that doesn't bother us because it has an art-déco style that we love. It has no breakfast, but then again, just like most of the hotels in NYC. There's also no room service because they have no hotel restaurant, though they have a kind of agreement with the Tic-Toc dinner next door. We could not hear noises from other rooms, but we heard everything from the street, so they should really isolate the outside noises better, I woke up several times with construction noises from outside.
Close to Herald Square Times Square Penn Station Madison Square Garden and Subway
Bathrooms were small and outdated
Hotel was nice, close to underground and clean, good facilities. View of Empire State from window
We were on the 29th floor and the police and ambulance sirens at night were still really loud. I guess that is just New York for you!
Location, very clean, complimentary Nespresso
Very small bedroom, very small bed, booking.com lost our reservation and it took us almost an hour to solve it.
Location at Penn Station, 34th and 8th.
A bit rocked down, but seems they start to refurbish. Street construction was noisy until late nights.
the bed was one of the most comfortable beds i had ever slept in... the bathroom was a nice size compared to the smaller room. i would stay here again.. might actually be the only place i stay in NYC again
didn't like that i had to leave
Only the location in midtown for the rest nothing bad midtake to book here for that kind of money. I know it's New York but even so!
Stayed there for 5 days. Very small room. Bathroom door couldn't even close and that must have been the case for the last 30 years or so!! Door too wide for the frame posts. Bath tub stains I. Them. I wouldn't be that fussy if it were a two star hotel with foto price. But on the first night it cost me more than usd 400!!!! I would expect Sth better from a four star hotel. Couldn't even fit two suitcases in it and have them open. Only one chair. Couldn't fit two!!
Location fantastic the cleaners were very friendry nd helpful.
The gentleman who checked us in was rude, un friendly and very un approachable. The toilets n the tick tock diner were extremely dirty.
Guard men rather kind heated with sympathy mind.
Very close to Pen Station . grand central Statio will be best.
Location is good near all the attractions
Very small room but it was well organized
closeness to penn station, subways, Times Square. Efficiency and helpfulness of staff. quiet and comfortable room, affordable
I had to cancel my plans on this non refundable room and contacted Bookings.com to inquire about what to do when I told them friend of mine would be able to use the room. They asked me just to give them the name of the person staying, which I did. When they arrived the hotel had no reservation. Also there was confusion over which Wyndam hotel
