Location. Views from balcony/terrace was amazing. Bedroom and bathroom were small but ideal for our requirements and the hotel does date from the 1930s. Coffee making facilities and fridge available. Free wifi. Cannot comment on other facilities within the hotel as we too busy exploring New York!! Would definitely stay again.
Reception staff sorting her earring out and looking away whilst asking for my details at check in!! Lifts take a while , but we were on the 38th floor , so to be expected.
The location was the best
No tea/coffee making facilities
Good location, subway station right outside if needed. Great room, comfy bed, room cleaned daily. Fabulous city view, Empire State building right in front of us!
Noise from the adjoining rooms plumbing! Woken several times at 6am by someone using the bathroom in room next door, their bathroom actually built into part of our room. When heading Uptown, preferred to walk along 34th Street and walk up 7th/6th Avenue rather than use 8th.
Very very small bathrooms
The hotel has very good location with subway nearby. The lobby is beautifull and the room was good
We stayed in a suite for 4 people but when we arrived the room was only prepared for 2. We asked for towels and sheets but they didn't prepare the bed.
First time in New York & we loved the New Yorker. Great location, right across the road from Madison Square Gardens & Pennsylvania Station. Subway station is on every corner & you can get everywhere from there so easily.
The windows are paper thin & you can hear all the sirens all the time! Not a great deal of storage in the room we had. Will definitely book again.
Super location, beautifully renovated, Nice little room.
Charm of an old building.
Although this is an old building, the rooms were too small for the rates received on a weekend. Not worth the money!
Hotel lobby and coffee shop. Helpful staff and easy registration.
Room and bathroom were very small. Bathroom needed paint and handrails in shower for seniors. And a rubber mat in the bathtub.
The location of the hotel was convenient for Time's Square, Broadway and underground transportation. The Tick Tock Diner which was beside the hotel had great food and service and was so convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was relaxed about eating and drinking in the lounge foyer.
The rooms were rather small and a little dull.
very nice had my own bathroom nice...
It was dirty and bad smelly. I pay a room for 4 person and it was so small, not even for 2. The bed and pillows so uncomfortable. Found hair on the pillows and towers. If you want to leave your bags you need to pay per each! If you want to use the restroom after or before checking in or checking out you can't because you need to room key. Totally over prices
Cleanliness, friendly & very helpful staff, great location.
In my opinion everything was great.
Near to many attractions, met some very nice people.
Very good location in Manhattan Midtown direct connection to Newark and JFK. Coffe machine and water in the room.
Problems with hot water in the shower, fullbad size instead of quine size. No hotel wifi in the lobby.
Size and cleanliness of the room. Very nice staff.
Poorly insulated and noisy, inside out. It's an older hotel and could use new windows and doors
Nice suite, ask for Muhammed in the reception. He know how to find a nice room.
Nada, nothing in Danish
The location only. Right by the Penn Station.
The hotel shows signs of heavy use and is some what dated. Everything looks so old and looked like time has stopped in the 70s for them. The room was cramped, nothing like the picture. The bathrooms are extremely tiny. We were only able to switch to a bigger one on our fourth night following persistent requests. There are no electricity plugs outside the bathroom, which is a shame as we needed to charge everything in there. On our departure, the doorman insisted on getting three people and four pices of luggage into a normal cab while it was obvious that we needed a larger vehicle. The sink was clogged, I had to wait for five minutes for hot water. Acceptable place to lay down, not anything you would want to remember or return to.
Always improving. The facilities and service. Location excellent
The ticktock restaurant very disappointing .b
Location, location, location
The bath needs a renovation
Size of room
Fast elevator, good staff service
Room was not clean. Price was much too high for the roomsize (too small a room for that kind of money)
Location is good, not excellent, but good.
No coffee maker in the room. Imagine you need to go down from 23rd floor to the 1st floor each time you want tea or a coffee. No, thanks! We booked queen room with city view. Upon arrival we were given cold, dark double with no view at all. We had to spend whole night in the room and next day we were given what we paid for. But no compensation for the first night. Must pay 2 dollars per bag for storage after check-out.
The location was convenient
Outlets to charge electronics were few and far between and the ice machines were scattered between floors.
