The location of the hotel was perfect! Only a few blocks walk from the Empire State Building and Times Square. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The location of this hotel was 5*, however the hotel rooms were only 2*! This was very disappointing as we paid alot of money for this hotel & the room we booked looked much nicer on the booking .com website. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room & we were room only so had to go out for refreshments which were quite costly on a daily basis.

The location is good as it is very central. It is especially good if you arrive via train as it is only one block from Penn Station. There's a metro station right at the hotel. There is good security on the elevator area with a staff member checking everyone going up is a guest.

This is my second stay at the hotel and the rooms are extremely small. I booked a junior suite for my party of 5 and it was tight. The hotel is Art Deco and the foyer is grand but the corridors and rooms are much less so. I found the staff less than helpful at times; quite off-hand. I won't be returning.

staff proved very friendly, helpful and accommodating. rooms were perfect size for the stay. security was nice to see in that they checked to ensure people coming and going had a room key at least.

The location is excellent for exploring the city. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size and the beds were comfortable.

Tiny, tiny room (this was the worst part); rude valet; expensive parking with no in/out privilege; inattentive staff; very expensive; and yes tiny, tiny room

Room was very small - we realised metro room was going to be fairly compact but it was quite airless. Bathroom v old fashioned & needs updating.

It's great location. The Penn Station Subway is just outside the hotel.

There isn't any coffee maker or facilities provided for making hot beverages in the room.

Free wifi. Rooms were cosy. Tick Tock diner was handy for breakfast.

Man on transportation desk wasn't truthful about cost of taxi to airport.

we had an issue with the internet, we thought we chose the free internet but were charged for usage

The location is great. The rooms are very clean.

The rooms are very small, we asked for a room with a crib for our baby, we received a very small room, with no place for a crib. I discussed this issue with the front desk and they told me that the regular room is much smaller than this. After I told them that I cannot stay in a room like this and I will look for another hotel they changed our room to a much larger one (like twice the size of the original room they gave us). The hotel has an old fashioned design. Leaving luggage at the hotel after checking out costs money - $2 per piece, where "piece" may even be a bag. Value for money is low.

Location was great. It was easy to catch the subway. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful especially lost and found. We left a phone charger and they were really diligent to keep up with it and have it ready for me when I swung back by to pick it up.

Perfect location, real close to every sight and subway. Diner downstairs, open 24/7. Friendly staff, metroroom was not very spacious but comfortable and nicely decorated. Great view on Empire state bld, great bed, clean bathroom.

The shower had no handshower and went from cold to very hot all the time, no constant temperature. Also very expensive, but the comfort and location make up for that.

The location was good for the purpose of my business trip and it was nice to have a gym.

It was nice to have a gym but some of the running machines were out of order for a couple of days. My room was generally quite clean but it felt tired partucularly the bathroom with paint peeling off the tiles, the room was very small for the price. I asked to extent my check out by a couple of hours and was told that wasn't possible so left my luggage with the bell man and was supprised to be asked for 2 us dollers for doing so. I have never paid a hotel for storing luggage before and felt it was not good practice. The breakfast bar in the lobby was also expensive, they ask $18.00 for a bowl of fruit, I purchased a similar bowl in the drug store across the road for $3.00. I think this is taking advantage of customers and now understand why so many people were bring food into the hotel.

location and good price compared to other hotels I looked at.

The hotel is in an ideal location for downtown Manhattan, grand entrance and reception area, very clean and tidy, the room itself is more than adequate however the lack of tea/coffee making facilities was disappointing, the bed was very comfortable with the bathroom being slightly on the small side!

No breakfast available in the hotel, although there are many restaurants in the surroundings. No fridge in the room.

This hotel was very central to everything people like to visit while in Manhattan. The staff were wonderful. The building is clean and yet very chic retro looking.

We found that the Tick Tock restaurant in the hotel breakfast wasn't the best for food quality. We didn't try the Cooper's Tavern restaurant.
