Didn't find reception staff too friendly. They were however efficient just not with a smile.
The Location is marvelous, at the center of Newbury street where it is so easy to grab excellent food after shopping
This is not really, as headlined, a 'boutique hotel', it is more a very good B&B. Rooms are fine and plain, reception area is quite old fashioned. But it's very well run, staff are good, breakfast is good and the location is unbeatable. Would book again like a shot
Reception area could be smarter, I suppose, but that is really minor considering the positives
Wonderful bed and breakfast Great walking location
It is a beautiful brownstone house in a great location. All designer shops on the street. Close to The big shopping mall, beautiful park down the road. I would highly recommend.
It was a bit of a treck to the city centre but on a beautiful day you really dont mind the walk through the park
Fantastic location, friendly & helpful staff, clean room,
remind me so much of home Montréal Newbury street best place to spend a week end
non fonctional elevator
We loved the location. Central to all interesting places. We greatly enjoyed the ability to walk everyWhere.
I didn't like the parking. Only Available by double parking and surrendering the keys.
Loved location, loved room. Good breakfast. Good bed.
Need more counter space in bathroom.
John at the reception is very courteous, helpful. Breakfast was very good. We love the location.
Fantastic location, right in the heart of Newbury Street. Clean rooms, staff not overly friendly though, but breakfast quite good (although they do take a while to re-stock the food when things run out, so you need to get to breakfast early). I'd stay there again.
Food runs out quickly at breakfast and they seem to take a long time to replace it. Staff not very welcoming.
Breakfast, location, helpful staff
Bed was a bit small, bathroom was somewhat cramped, but functional and clean
Good location & spacious room.
Incredible & pervasive smell of frying bacon or chicken. Pretty miserable stench.
Style, comfort, location, personnel
Location, included breakfast was good, parking was great and we were given a room facing Newbury St. as requested.
Staff is cordial but not overly friendly.
The place was brilliantly located. The room was cosy and for an old building surprisingly spacious. I loved the fact that it was an old building so everything was smaller that the usual massive hotels. Would go there again the next time I go to Boston.
Location, view of Newbury st from the room, price.
room comforts and location
No tea or coffee facilities in the room
Quit environment Excellent location
No soap and other amenities on arrival Wifi kept dropping and is slow Breakfast not up to scratch Bath drain plug did not function although it was reported and replaced
Shower head was terrible, more of a motel
Great location and very friendly staff! Room size was perfect for the 2 of us and great biew of Newbury street. We waited to check in so we could have a room with a view of Newbury.
Good breakfast that was included in the stay but it was the same thing everyday so when u stay longer like we did for 5 nights it gets a little repetitive. We ended up skipping breakfast the last couple days because it was always French toast/bacon/sausage/ scrambled eggs. But hey, for free i guess its a great way to save money!
Close to the esplanade and the charles along with plenty of eateries within walking distance. $20 for parking was also a good deal for Boston.
Nothing really other than price is high as were all the others we looked into.
Location could not have been more perfect.
As a coffee addict, I would have like a coffee in the room. The breakfasts became a little boring after 3 days.
This is probably the best location for staying in Boston. The room was well decorated and comfortable. It overlooked a busy street but exterior noise was not a problem. We loved being at the heart of Boston society. Great for walking to other parts of the city.
The bathroom was in need of an update.
Charming, convenient, very clean, great location. Very nice, helpful staff. To us, much more enjoyable & relaxing than a big boring hotel .
