Proximity to downtown
A room with no external window. Pretty expensive for an interior room.
High rate for an only average room.
Very convenient and close to everything in Newport. Staff were very helpful, especially the front desk and the porters.
The dining room staff were difficult and the breakfast seating policy was disappointing. There were constantly guests waiting 10 - 15 minutes to be seated for breakfast even though two dining rooms were not being used. When asking about this the answer was, "Oh, our main dining room is full."
The staff, especially Susan, were friendly and professional. They worked at getting our room changed the next day to a water view. Susan was so accomendating that we stayed an extra night.
My husband and I were extremely disappointed that for $559 a night we had an interior room with a balcony facing the lobby. We went to Newport to enjoy the beautiful view, not a hotel lobby. We travel a lot and we thought this hotel was one of the most poorly designed hotels.
staff was attentive and friendly
Room was spartan and small, bathroom door wouldn't close all the way, no pen or notepad in room. I really felt that for the cost the room could have been much nicer and roomier.
The location was great. Everything was clean and comfortable.
Wish they had an earlier checkin and free parking. The people staying there were loud all hours. Not really the hotels fault, but very annoying. The main areas were ridiculously air-conditioned.
decent restaurant, overall good
menues lakes healthy choices and not any gluten free choices at all.
Everything best hotel ever everyone goes out of their way to be friendly rooms are very clean ,beds comfortably, can't wait to come back would never stay any where else down there
Location, ease of parking helpful concierge
The accommodations were wonderful, the building had a great architecture and the staff were very friendly!
Decor, location, easy access to flower show and boats, etc
Being charged for that awful garage and the price of a room.
Location and staff
For the money we paid I felt we should of had a room with a window to the outside, not looking into the hallway!
How close to everything we were
being charged $16.00 for 3 songs on the T.V., the people next door were noisy
Staff was friendly
Rooms were very small, beds were small. Overall feel of hotel was old and outdated, especially for the money it costs.
The entire atmosphere. It was right near all of the shops and restaurants on Thames St. and it right on the water. Great location!!
I liked it all.
Location was superb, staff was friendly and accommodating.
The check in was poorly handled. The agent checking us in was in training and incorrectly handled several aspects of the agreed upon rate, including parking and breakfast. The toilet did not function correctly and the AC did not work well at night.
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was near enough to walk everywhere (restaurants and Thames Street) but far enough away so it was quiet, the Starbucks in the lobby, cleanliness of the room.
You shouldn't have to pay an internet fee, the price of the room should include free wifi. I wish the television had a menu guide so you could see what was on
Room wasn't ready when we arrived. Another $200 on top of bookings.com in local taxes.
Meredith at the Concierge desk hooked us up with great restaurants and tours. She was spot-on with the recommendations based on our personalities! Thank you Meredith !!!!!!!!!!!!
A short walk (0.4m) from center.
Staff very friendly and willing to assist us-room very clean and comfortable-great value for money-would highly recommend this hotel
Convenient location. Facilities clean.
Overpriced.business conference in the middle of lobby,on vacation to get away from business! More interested in pleasing people who attended conference not visitors.
It all went well.
Nothing went wrong
value of money: I paid $229 for two nights and $249 for one night, and the internet in the room or continental breakfast was not included. Besides, my windows look inside on the hotel (to the hall), which was not what I liked. Again, everything was fine in the room, and staff was nice - but you can find a very similar room and nice staff for $149/night with internet included
