I thought the rooms were extremely comfortable and very competitively priced so much so that I extended our stay. The reception staff were extremely helpful and courtious. Probably the best I have experienced in California. One special thank you goes to your concierge - Michelle? So helpful and full of idea on where to go to eat out etc. A big thank you goes to her Nothing really, but would have preferred an open air pool and possibly the club being more accessible as once you had the show running it was impossible to gain entrance. |

We enjoyed the elegant surroundings and easy access to the downtown area. We enjoyed using the exercise facilities, the pool and the hot tub, which was included with the price of our stay. Also included with our stay was the continental breakfast or the absolutely fabulous breakfast buffet served in the restaurant. The wine and cheese offered just down the hall from our room was wonderful. If we were very picky we might mention the dusty shutter doors and the tub in our room did not look clean and shiny. Many articles from the mini fridge where listed on our bill when we went to chech out, which we did not use, but the hotel clerk immediately removed them without a problem. |

Our room wasn't ready at check in so they up graded us to a suite. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful! They truely seemed to appreciate that you were there. I felt the parking rate was a little extreme. |

Overall it was a nice room with decent food selection. In room movie order system could use work, more channels. The pool was pretty busy with kids. Anzu could use more menu items for room service. |

The carpeting in our room was stained and visably dirty. Our shower had orange mold on all of the grout and had obviously not been cleaned on a routine basis. |

The Nikko SF is an excellent hotel for the discerning traveller. It is my number one choice in San Francisco. When I was mildly dissatisfied with the room I had been offered on my last trip, they promptly offered a superior room, albeit for a small upgrade charge and the changeover was efficiently handled by staff. Overall a very positive experience. Given the room rates, it would be nice if the Nikko could offer internet services free of charge. These essentials do make a difference to the business traveller. |

Convenient location in downtown, close to a railway station. The reception staffs were not kind and they lack in hospitality. Breakfast buffet menu was always same and we got bored after 3 day stay. They should change day by day at least a little. The currency exchange rate was very bad. |

tasteful design, efficient use of space typical of Japanese hotels (assume managed by the Nikko group?) One of the closet sliding doors was off its track when we arrived and was very promptly attended to by the bellman informing maintenance but I feel this should have been noticed before our arrival by housekeeping who were the last in the room to prepare for the next guest |
